24/05/2025: Bread, sweets, delicious and helpful staff, good place for a delicious breakfast but you have to go before 9 in the morning because it is very crowded, it is a shame that they do not produce the primitive bread which is delicious and is less upsetting to the stomach than the white one. I have to wait for the days when they make a big batch and put it in the fridge unfortunately, but it would be a healthier bread.

04/05/2025: We arrive on Friday evening. 2 people it was 8.45pm. The place, at least in the part with the outside tables, was semi-empty. We approached the staff asking if we could have a table for two and we received the answer with a dry tone: "no not today, without a reservation it is not possible". I repeat, it was 8.45pm, not 7pm. ...I don't know, the seats had to be occupied by Macbeth's ghost guests, evidently. Tragic-comic scene, we had a laugh and went to eat somewhere else 🤷🏻

07/05/2025: I have to rate this place as a cafe and not a restaurant/deli as I only stopped in for a coffee. I also had a sweet braid, which was good enough. "Banco Salumi" is found just entering Salò. It has a large terrace and a remarkable interior capacity. The service is good. Having said that, there are better cafes around Salò.

27/11/2024: Lunch break at the Charcuterie Counter in Salò. I stopped in this place to grab something quick for lunch with some colleagues. We ordered cold cuts and cheese platters. Both quality and quantity are excellent. Helpful and kind staff.

06/05/2025: Chocolate and pistachio ice cream with waffle cone €3.50, the quantity is a little skimpy for my tastes but the quality is truly excellent. The ice cream seller who served us with her arm a little short and the cashier a little absent. I wanted to add that I asked the young lady if they could accommodate us and she kindly replied "but you're joking, there's no problem for as long as you want"

03/05/2025: Die Osteria di Mezzo liegt in einer ruhigen Gasse im Zentrum von Salò – nicht direkt am Wasser, aber atmosphärisch und stilvoll eingerichtet. Das Lokal wirkt persönlich und überwiegend familiengeführt, das gesamte Team ist sehr freundlich, engagiert und aufmerksam. Die Küche ist qualitativ hervorragend. Alles, was wir gegessen haben, war handwerklich sehr gut gemacht und schön präsentiert. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die ausgeprägte Getränkekultur: Weine werden in sorgfältig ausgewählten, jeweils passenden Gläsern serviert – auch das Bier kommt stilvoll auf den Tisch. Sehr angenehm und ungewöhnlich konsequent. Ein kleiner Punkt, der die Professionalität des Hauses eher bestätigt als schmälert: Eine Tagliata war zunächst etwas zu durch, wurde aber umgehend, freundlich und selbstverständlich ersetzt – inklusive mehrfacher Entschuldigung. So geht man vorbildlich mit Feedback um. Am Ende des Abends gab es beim Bezahlen sogar noch eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit: ein hübsch verpacktes Tütchen mit feinem Gebäck. Eine schöne Geste – aufmerksam, herzlich und keineswegs selbstverständlich. Die Preise sind absolut angemessen für das, was geboten wird – sowohl kulinarisch als auch im Service. Wichtig: Eine Reservierung im Voraus ist unbedingt zu empfehlen – das Lokal ist sehr gefragt. Fazit: Ein rundum gelungener Abend. Wer Qualität, Atmosphäre und ehrliche Gastfreundschaft sucht, ist hier genau richtig.

14/02/2025: Pur essendo orgoglio cittadino, di Cedral Tassoni in centro a Salò trovi solo uno shop aziendali (la fabbrica sta altrove. In realtà quello di Salò è un po’ più di un negozio: un vero e proprio accogliente ed elegante salotto, curato in tutti i dettagli e che ti fa immergere in un’istante in tutta l’atmosfera Tassoni, nei suoi colori, nelle sue radici, nella sua storia. Complice non solo l’esposizione dei prodotti, ma anche la presenza, ad esempio, dei manifesti d’epoca, vere e proprie opere d’arte. Qui ti siede nell’accogliente salottino e con il listino davanti diventa irresistibile provare uno dei tanti cocktails e long drinks a base di prodotti Tassoni. Magari il locale ti sveglia anche un ricordo perché pur essendo la produzione delle bevande Tassoni più viva che mai, non è sempre così facile reperirli in commercio e rivederli qui ti richiama alla memoria sensazioni di piacere del passato. Il simpatico, gentile barman è a disposizione per toglierti qualsiasi curiosità sull’azienda e sui prodotti e per deliziarti con le sue bevande. Una sosta piacevole ad un costo medio di cerca 10 euro a cocktail (seduto al tavolo e accompagnato da salatini). Se vuoi puoi anche acquistare prodotti Tassoni da portare a casa. Bellissima la vetrina che dà sul corso principale di Salò. Una sosta raccomandata.

18/05/2025: Il posto si presenta in ordine e ben curato, molto bella posizione. All’arrivo siamo stati accolti con gentilezza e professionalità. Le pietanze servite buone, nella norma. Il vero problema si è rivelato la gestione di sala fino a momenti del tutto surreali. Ad un certo punto gli inservienti si sono dimezzati e i tavoli rimasti - erano le 13:45 - sono stati di fatto abbandonati a loro stessi. Anche il nostro ha subito la stesso sorte. 25 minuti per rimuovere i piatti delle precedenti portate e nessuna offerta di dolci per caffè, nonostante sino alle 13:30 un cameriere regolarmente passasse con il carrello dei dolci, che, nel nostro caso, giaceva in un angolo. La sorpresa è aumentata quando abbiamo visto che una delle inservienti stava serenamente asciugando i bicchieri e, pur vedendo che ci eravamo alzati per il conto, dopo aver chiesto se dovevamo pagare, ha continuato imperterrita, fino all’arrivo di un altro inserviente. Un disservizio, rasentante la maleducazione, obiettivamente sorprendente. La qualità dei cibi è buona, anche se nella norma, i prezzi sono decisamente alti. Esperienza nel complesso non felice.
