09/05/2026: I went there for the first time a few days ago with my wife and some friends. The place was welcoming, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had truly excellent testaroli and panigacci, and the cured meats and cheeses were excellent. We'll be back to try the meat, which was tempting. Highly recommended.

03/05/2026: We stumbled upon it by chance, and they found us a spot at the last minute! We tried the jar-cooked parmigiana, a lighter version of the classic, and it was truly delicious. Our main choice was the mixed grill for two with side vegetables, which was also absolutely delicious. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is casual and friendly. If you're in the area, give it a try!

19/04/2026: A gem of a restaurant. We were almost amazed to find such superior quality. We often visit the Ligurian coast and have had lunch and dinner at excellent restaurants. Meri 1956, without offending anyone, surpasses them all, from the presentation of the dishes to the quality of the ingredients used, to the unique execution. Our enthusiastic compliments to the chef and the lady who served the dishes, also for the suggestions on the excellent wine served. Thank you, we had a wonderful time.

14/05/2026: I would like to express our great disappointment regarding our meal at your restaurant. The beef I ordered was cold and had a sour, bitter taste. Honestly, it gave the impression that the meat was spoiled. My children’s lasagna was also served cold, which is unacceptable for dishes served at the table. As for my wife’s pasta, it was simply average, nothing more. We are very disappointed with this experience and hope that you will take this feedback seriously.

29/06/2026: It's a heavy heart for me to write this negative review after so many years of being my go-to ice cream shop. I'm celiac and have been frequenting this ice cream shop for years because, in addition to being a member of the AIC (Italian Celiac Association), when I ask, "I'm celiac, what flavors can I eat?" they always say that most of the flavors are gluten-free, like the cones and wafers, and they always specify the flavors that are exceptions. I keep asking the same question, over and over again, even though the girls know me by now, because you can never be too careful in these cases. On Friday, June 19, I ordered my ice cream following the same pattern and was told that only one flavor contained gluten, so I didn't order it. Last Friday, when I returned, ready to order my ice cream, I was told that a flavor that not only hadn't been mentioned the previous time, but that I had also ordered and eaten, was gluten-containing. The girls, who weren't the same as the previous Friday, were shocked when I pointed this out and, unfortunately, could only explain the ingredients of the flavor, confirming the presence of kataifi dough (and therefore gluten). Unfortunately, I didn't have any symptoms that evening, so I didn't realize I'd eaten gluten, but anyone with even a little knowledge of celiac disease knows that it's an autoimmune disorder that isn't always symptomatic, but even in the absence of symptoms, it has SERIOUS effects on a person's health, both in the short and especially the long term. I'm writing this review because I've lost faith in the restaurant and the peace of mind with which I used to consume its products, and above all because I believe it's VERY SERIOUS to underestimate allergies, intolerances, and illnesses reported by customers.

08/07/2026: We ate there twice. I have to admit the seafood was okay, as was the service, but the other two dishes we ordered weren't really great. We also had a mixed salad, which, it should be noted, was served after the main course without any prior notification from the server. It consisted of iceberg lettuce, some carrots, and zucchini, which also wasn't very good. The bread was fine the first time, but on the second visit, it was really very hard! Probably the same bread as on the last visit. Overall, the price-performance ratio wasn't quite right. I would recommend other restaurants in the area.

18/01/2026: A small but very special place, full of stories, tales, and music. An excellent dinner, narrated by Cristiano, who accompanied and kept us company during the tasting of the dishes. The house menu, with dishes chosen by the restaurant, was very good and plentiful, based on fish. Everything was explained and described in detail. Anchovies in extra virgin olive oil with capers and thyme. Marinated salmon and tuna on orange slices and octopus carpaccio with grapes, currants, and blueberries. Excellent. Fresh pasta linguine with fish ragù (shrimp, calamari, and more). Delicious, in generous quantities. Baked sea bass fillets and oranges with potatoes. Healthy lemon sorbet to finish. Fully satisfied. Good quality/quantity/price ratio. With a fragrant house Vermentino for €55 per person.

24/05/2026: There's no sign outside, at least I don't see one, but I can tell the place I'm looking for is there. Outside, there's a small crowd dressed for the occasion, including all the older members of the family in tow. Everything is neat and tidy. A large veranda confirms it's a restaurant. The food is truly home-style, something hard to beat. Everything is perfect, and the place is spotless. The informal service is impeccable.

I had a particularly good time, the service was impeccable, not to mention the truly excellent menu from the starters to the first courses (especially the super ravioli....) and second courses, all made by them... and the portions were very very generous, what more can I say? I recommend it...😋
