14/05/2026: I would like to express our great disappointment regarding our meal at your restaurant.
The beef I ordered was cold and had a sour, bitter taste. Honestly, it gave the impression that the meat was spoiled.
My children’s lasagna was also served cold, which is unacceptable for dishes served at the table.
As for my wife’s pasta, it was simply average, nothing more.
We are very disappointed with this experience and hope that you will take this feedback seriously.

We were almost amazed to find such superior quality.
We often visit the Ligurian coast and have had lunch and dinner at excellent restaurants.
Meri 1956, without offending anyone, surpasses them all, from the presentation of the dishes to the quality of the ingredients used, to the unique execution.
Our enthusiastic compliments to the chef and the lady who served the dishes, also for the suggestions on the excellent wine served.
Thank you, we had a wonderful time.

Beautiful restaurant, with great attention to detail. Excellent service, very low noise, a menu with original dishes, and a slightly expensive price, but adequate for the quality. You'll leave feeling happy and relaxed.

Eating here is a journey through flavors, tastes, imagination, and tradition, all wrapped up in an elegant and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is super friendly!!!!
There's not much to say... You just have to try it and let it carry you away.

27/04/2026: Went here for gluten free pizza and it did not disappoint! Lots of gluten free options & delicious pizza. Great service and nice place. Quite the drive up from the main part of La Spezia which made it a whole experience! Very windy road in the mountains with a great lookout before you turn in. Highly recommended

I highly recommend this restaurant and I will return every time I am in the area. 😃😃😃

Yesterday, in addition to excellent pizza and farinata, I tried a traditional local rice cake.
(The owner offered it to me for a taste.)
What can I say? It was all delicious.

29/11/2025: Let's start with the peculiarities that some people might not like: don't expect a menu with a slew of pizza types. They serve Margherita and farinata pizzas, plus other deli specialties (savory pies, etc.).
That said, the pizza is spectacular. The mozzarella is soft, whereas in practically every other pizzeria I find it rubbery. The pizza is pan-baked, and I really like it. It's both soft and crispy, and even the crust is a pleasure to eat. The farinata pizza is wow.
When I'm in Sarzana, I'll tend to eat here 😁.
