14/03/2026: I came in just for an ice cream... and I left with a smile! A charming place in Porto Venere, with beautifully colored and truly delicious ice creams. The sales assistant, beautiful and always smiling, made the experience even sweeter. Extremely satisfied... I'll almost come back tomorrow!

08/03/2026: We stopped at this gelateria for a snack at the end of February. Despite it being the off-season, they had a wide selection of flavors. Really good, I recommend it!

02/10/2025: Stampetta Pasticceria is a historic pastry shop, established in 1962. Yesterday evening, I bought a profiterole from them. The cake weighed less than 1 kg, and the lady at the counter had a clever idea: to cover up the cake's age, she re-covered it with chocolate and yellow cream, increasing the weight to 1.5 kg and attempting to cover up the staleness. The scam cost €45. At home, we had to reveal the whole truth: an old cake, an unscrupulous sales assistant, and a ruined party. This morning, I personally charged the counter clerk with her personal responsibility for lying and abusing the trust she had placed in her. I point out that I was with an elderly woman, and this behavior is as disgusting as the cake being sold. This morning, I noticed the neglected display cases and the dirt that accompanies old, frosted cakes. I advise against visiting, or purchasing anything. Flavio Calì

08/10/2025: Very welcoming, friendly, and helpful staff. The food is always excellent and fresh; the bread is homemade!!! The desserts are also delicious. Dogan #1!!!

18/11/2025: Botteghin is a place you'll always want to return to! Not only because it's open late and the atmosphere is truly pleasant (soft lighting and bottles everywhere), but also because the food is truly delicious! The cured meats, unique in their kind, are truly excellent, as are the cheeses! The focaccias in various flavors are delicious, and so are the desserts! I recommend the platter: for €18, you get a large plate of excellent cured meats, two varieties of cheese, and two pieces of vegetable tart, all accompanied by focaccia! The wine cellar is very well-stocked. Since 2025, they've been stocking a selection of French cheeses, which, paired with fruit compotes, are unmissable. Botteghin is also the only place in the area that stays open late, so you'll find it open even if you get hungry late at night! I recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends, as seating is limited!

12/09/2025: When I ask if the shrimp are with their shell the waitress tell me 2 times “no shell no shell” , finally 3 fried shrimp with their shell …. Very disappointed. for 10euro that was a mixt with squid and octopus which were ok. I should have pick the store just next to it, 1 more euro but the shrimp were without theirs shell What is even the point of fried shrimp with theirs shell beside needing a hand wash and eating a cooked shrimp with no fried dough on it … At least the squid/octopus get some fried dough on it …

20/02/2026: I'm almost always late when I get take-out, the pizza is thin and the mozzarella doesn't stick to the pizza and every time I have to eat the pizza and the toppings first and then the pizza dough, not to mention the crust which is plasticky.

15/12/2025: Excellent ingredients, cooked just fine, but when we got home and lifted the pizzas out of the boxes, we were surprised: all black, not burned, but covered in ash. Ladies and gentlemen, the oven needs cleaning! Black ash is carcinogenic, or perhaps someone just doesn't know that.

20/09/2025: As in almost all Ligurian restaurants, the staff is rude, lazy and pissed off when taking and delivering orders.

17/09/2025: Not 101 different flavors, but I did enjoy some super delicious ice cream. The price of €2.75 for two scoops is cheap by Dutch standards. Scoops with truly intense flavors.

01/01/2026: I never write reviews, but in this case I feel compelled, because today I felt a little bit taken for a ride. When we entered the restaurant, we weren't given much consideration. After a while, a waitress came over and showed us into the dining room, offering us an aperitif with a platter for €30. We got a paltry platter, and when we went to pay, they even added a €2 cover charge each (which we didn't use because it DIDN'T ARRIVE)... absurd! P.S. A word of advice to the waitress: smile, because life is only one, and be grateful for the privilege of living it!

29/12/2025: High prices, mediocre food quality, intense fried/cooking smell, cold room.

16/02/2026: Cozy little place in Monterosso. We came with a tour group and had a set menu. The food was very good; from seafood salad, to Trofie Al Pesto pasta, to tiramisu with a rich coffee flavor for dessert. Wine and a bottle of water naturale was included. We also shared an order of calamari that was lightly battered, tender and tasty. Service was prompt and courteous.

03/10/2025: I didn't eat here, but getting on in age I found myself in the embarrassing situation of a desperate need to use a toilet. The restaurant was virtually empty when I made my request. A young girl turned me down , three times despite my pleas . 🥺 . Luckily I managed to get to the next restaurant. A very bad experience
