12/06/2024: This place was closed but the owner fed us anyway at midnight

25/05/2024: We ordered some beers and a pesto pasta. For the price we didn't expect anything spectacular either, but what we didn't expect was that they would give us plastic cutlery and the food would be distributed on plastic plates, we had to ask for metal forks. The pesto could perfectly be from any supermarket. When we brought the drinks, we saw that they were preparing a table of appetizers for us and as soon as they sat down, a large group of people who came after us put it on them. We asked if they could give it to us too (since we saw that everyone included it with their drink) and they never did. When paying they gave us a ticket that only said €20. We asked if they could break it down for us, to see the price of each thing and they told us no, that we had to pay first. After insisting they did, but wow, a deal that leaves a lot to be desired (beers €5 and a plate of Tagliatelle al pesto €10).

08/08/2024: Arriving from Milan with a prolonged hunger, we discovered this place by chance...Fast and knowledgeable staff, and generous dishes. Well done and congratulations!!

13/07/2024: From the outside, but also inside it is a cross between a trattoria and a steak house. Clean and pleasant environment. The menu is simple and traditional. But when the dishes arrive, everything changes. The quality of the ingredients and above all their composition is excellent. The chef interprets and proposes "simple" dishes with a balance and an innovative touch that make them special and never banal. Abundant quantities. Excellent quality/price ratio.

20/07/2024: Very warm welcome, very pleasant. We were very well received with our 2 dogs. The pizzas and pastas were delicious. Very reasonable price.

29/08/2024: I return to Monterosso after a few years and with pleasure I returned to Al Casello where the food is always good. A pleasure to meet the always very kind staff! Lunch facing the sea under an umbrella! Top See you next time ❤️

26/08/2024: We stoped for a few drinks. First they tell us in very rood way that they have no still water and, honestly, it feels like they don’t want to have a customers for drinks, but for lunch. No attention to the guests. Incredible final: it took them 2 waiters and 10 min to calculate my bill 😂😂😂 Like 4+7 €. “Math? Never heard.” Do not speak English 😐

16/03/2024: Di ritorno da una passeggiata alla scoperta del Liberty alla Chiappa abbiamo subito deciso di venire qui per pranzo. Ottimi ravioli alla spezzina e baccalà con patate.

06/03/2024: Locale semplice ma pulito per una sosta veloce (in particolare a pranzo). Prezzi moderati, in linea con il locale. Buono il coniglio alla ligure.

25/08/2024: We went here for dinner because the actual restaurant we wanted to go to was unfortunately already full. But it was by no means an emergency solution. The food was extremely good, fast and very friendly service. We were completely satisfied!

I'm a creature of habit, they understood it from the trend of my orders in the previous mornings. ❤️ Splendid place, even more staff... customer attention and friendliness from breakfast to aperitif in a strategic point and without parking problems

05/03/2024: Vero che la fiorentina è cara, ma questo locale è troppo caro, sia nella fiorentina, che nel filetto, insomma, per cenare con un SOLO SECONDO IN 4, fiorentina per 2 e 2 filetti, patate al fornoe per 2, acqua 1, bibita per 2 e 2 bicchieri di rosso, con dolce per 2, abbiamo speso POCO MENO, veramente poco meno, DI 200 €....

23/07/2024: Small environment, with little room to maneuver. We ordered a couple of sushi dishes, and I doubt they were particularly fresh, perhaps only due to a too persistent smell. Long waiting times and not very "polite". My son and I doubt we will return.

26/05/2024: Locale molto curato, personale disponibile e cibo buono anche se non eccezionale. Positivo il fatto che la cucina sia aperta fino a tardi. Unico ristorante che ci ha permesso di pranzare alle 16

13/05/2024: Restaurant en plein centre historique de La Spezia. Accueil sympa, nous avons attendu une vingtaine de minutes tant le restaurant était pleins. Les plats sont italiens, pas de pizza pour les afficionnados de la Pizza Nous avons pris une salade tomate/mozza, des pâtes aux fruits de mer (frais et en quantité) et des spaghetti carbonara. Tout était très bon, à un tarif raisonnable pour cet endroit J'y retournerai avec plaisir.

10/08/2024: Café Roma offers everything you would expect from an Italian café. Good coffee, good croissants. Super nice staff, free wifi. What's particularly great is that the boss prohibits smoking as soon as children are present!
