We've been customers for years because, unlike many other restaurants, here you can enjoy both cheese focaccia and Sori focaccia. The place is run by friendly, animal-loving people!

Everything is good and we miss Biagio, who is very good anyway, and the focaccias are delicious.

The menu isn't very varied, but the quality/price ratio is adequate. The view is sea-view, but the artisanal salt dishes with rust are still worth a visit.

We went to La Baracchetta last night and had a very positive experience. The place is simple, but the food and service are truly excellent. The stracchino-filled focaccias are fabulous, and the cheese focaccia is delicious despite the slightly smaller portions. Prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants of this type. Recommended!

La Baracchetta di Biagio in Recco is a historic and well-known waterfront restaurant for its focaccia, focaccette, and typical Ligurian specialties, especially the famous cheese focaccia, a symbol of the area's street food.
The place has a simple and genuine charm, with a relaxed atmosphere typical of the Ligurian Riviera, perfect for a quick seaside stop and to sample local products without too much fuss. The location is excellent, right on the seafront, and La Baracchetta's history is linked to decades of Recco gastronomic tradition, so much so that it's been recognized in the Gambero Rosso Italian street food guide.
However, opinions about the food and management are rather mixed: some customers appreciate the focaccia and focaccette as an authentic Ligurian experience, while others report that the quality and consistency of the products can be lower than expected or compared to the old tradition, especially after recent changes in management.
The atmosphere is casual and simple, perfect for a light meal or a snack while strolling, but it's not a fine dining establishment.
In short: if you're looking for a classic Ligurian stop to try focaccia and typical street food in a scenic seaside setting, it might be worth a stop. But don't expect an exceptional culinary experience across the board.
