03/08/2025: This was genuinely THE worst pizza I’ve EVER had at a restaurant in my life, let alone Italy. Where do I begin…. To start off, I got in on a bit of a tight schedule, so I only had about an hour to get in, order, and eat. You’d think that would be enough, well… Right off the bat, they got my order wrong. They have pizzas with similar-sounding names, so unless you speak fluent Italian with an impeccable accent, watch out. This led to me getting the entirety wrong pizza. But when I got the pizza, I had no time to reorder. Some 20-25 minutes had already passed, so we wouldn’t have had time to reorder. So after explaining the mistake to the worker, I reluctantly decided to take what I got. And let me tell you, what I got was the worst pizza I’ve had. The pizza was served on a thin paper plate, instead of a real plate, which was fitting, because the pizza’s dough and crust was also paper-thin. Paper-thin, no colour, no flavour, not even cooked correctly, undercooked, which also lead to the cheese forming clumps on the tomato sauce, and falling off sometimes, as the ingredients seemingly were thrown together in no calculated manner whatsoever. It truly tasted like the diy pizzas I’ve made at home but worse. The taste was so so subpar, compared to what you’d expect from a pizzeria of such ratings online. But, as bad as I had it, it was my friend who had it worst, he got a baked calzone, and the insides were mushed up and wet like the insides of a gazelle after a pride of lions had killed it. Well, all in all, at least the water was good, Ice cold🥶

18/05/2025: This is an excellent place if you just want to come to enjoy the setting. The music is very soft, and it’s a perfect place to read a book on your own if you are a solo diner. It’s mainly a Pizzeria but also serve some steak as a side option do not under any circumstance or their own Amaro.Its called Basanotto. It’s basically mix between Limoncello washing up liquid and chemical basil. Absolutely revolting.

14/04/2025: Neapolitan pizza with a high (and chewy) edge and very thin in the center. Not my favorite type of pizza. Excellent ingredients. Medium-high prices. Long waiting times.

11/06/2025: Pausa pranzo veloce e discreta, ma i prezzi sono mediamente alti soprattutto in relazione alle porzioni molto piccole!!!

06/06/2025: Concordo sul casino assordante e sui lunghi tempi della cucina ma personalmente ho gustato un piatto di spaghetti alle vongole veramente eccellente. Sulla ricevuta del conto mi ha sorpreso leggere una cifra forfettaria per "pranzo concordato" invece che la specifica delle singole portate. Io ho mangiato solo un piatto, una birra e un dolce. Nessun secondo e nessuna frutta. Per il servizio io ho incontrato una cameriera che fefinisco professionale e cortese. Mi piacerebbe tornare a gustare il piatto di spaghetti alle vongole veramente di classe superiore ma solo durante le sere settimanali sabato escluso per la troppa confusione ma sono lecite scelte.

22/07/2025: Very good and affordable! Portions aren't big, but they are super cheap and I liked that I could order more different things and try more dishes than just have one big portion. We had rice noodles with shrimps and vegetable, chicken in mango sause and salmon sashimi. Everything was very good.

26/04/2025: Prenotiamo alle 21 perché prima non c’era posto che per un luogo di mare non è tardissimo… menù abbastanza striminzito due secondi su Quatto erano già terminati… vabbè opto per un antipasto i primi non erano di mio gusto… e infine arriviamo al dolce l’unico che forse poteva valere la pena prendere… finito anche quello! Serata sfortunata?

26/04/2025: Locale molto accogliente e particolare, servizio buono e cibo raffinato e gustoso. Abbiamo mangiato degli ottimi paccheri ai frutti di mare al profumo di limone e cernia alla griglia accompagnata da uno squisito carciofo

20/05/2025: Pessima esperienza. La proprietaria è stata incredibilmente scortese, al punto da rendere l’atmosfera davvero spiacevole. Più che migliorare il servizio, sarebbe necessario un grande lavoro sulla gentilezza e sull’accoglienza. Di certo non tornerò e non mi sento di consigliare questo bar a nessuno!

30/07/2025: Good pizza, but embarrassing service. Having to chase waiters and repeat your order multiple times to get a drink is out of the question.

25/07/2025: Returning to Lo Scalo restaurant and pizzeria in Pieve Ligure is always a pleasure for many reasons, including the deliciousness of the dishes, all Sicilian specialties. My favorites? Arancino with eggplant parmigiana, the unparalleled swordfish rolls Messina-style, and the cassata. The wine list is also well-curated. A family-friendly atmosphere, thanks in particular to Chef Andrea and his daughter Francesca. The pizza section is also exquisite, featuring Matteo, a national award-winning pizza chef! I recommend the vertical pizza, one of their delicious "pizza rounds."

16/07/2025: Il posto è bellissimo e suggestivo, si mangia su una terrazza a picco sul mare. Cibo di qualità, ma le quantità andrebbero migliorate. In generale, rapporto qualità/prezzo non eccezionale, ma con una bella vista.

12/07/2025: Tre meritati punti per la cucina . Il resto nella norma , ambiente caotico, confuso, dozzinale niente di che . Peccato bastava poco per fare la differenza.

31/07/2025: When we checked the restaurant reviews, the prices seemed reasonable for the location... surprise when the prices jumped 50%!! Note that you also have to pay for bread and cover (€5 per person). The meal was good, but not exceptional. The veal escalope is served with half a potato... Not a satisfactory value for money.

29/04/2025: Every time I go to Genoa it's a must see!!! The food is fresh and tasty, the service quick and friendly. The environment is a little dated but it feels like a home. I could go crazy for their pansotti with walnut sauce!!!

22/03/2025: Personally very satisfied, having to eat gluten-free due to an allergy, they make GLUTEN-FREE pizza, very good, perhaps it could have been cooked a little longer, but the gluten-free base is always strange....🤗

10/08/2025: When I asked for a cappuccino, the elderly cashier ordered a maxi cappuccino, and at the counter they made me a regular cappuccino. The brioche and sfogliatella were cold. The manager scolded his coworkers loudly in front of everyone, creating awkward situations.

15/12/2024: I don't know how many times the place has changed management. The environment was nice and welcoming, the crepes not so much, honestly I found them better before. The friendliness and courtesy of the staff could be improved... a smile and a little empathy help in business. Very clean place and prices in line with the norm.

28/07/2025: They've been the best pizza in Marassi for years. They offer generous toppings, a wide selection, and incredibly friendly staff. Because of their deliciousness, there may be a wait on weekends, but they're the only ones who always stick to the advertised time. A big plus is the small dining room where you can enjoy pizza with friends. Highly recommended.

30/05/2025: Probably worst food experience ever! Don’t go there unless they change the chef !!! No love, passion and flavor in any of the 3 dishes I got. Completely flat by flavor and taste, texture or harmony of food. Not what you expect when you are eating Italian food ! I’m Not even sure à chef have been cooking that ! Didn’t think eating something that tasteless would be even possible. Besides the waitress was great and very nice and attentive to details.
