20/10/2025: This has become a regular stop when we're in Subiaco. Excellent food (yesterday, porcini ravioli with chopped pistachios), friendly service, and highly recommended. Reservations are essential!
19/10/2025: Super friendly people and owner. Food first class and real Italian vibes. Definitely will be back for more food. Pizza was very tasty. We are from Ireland and must say never try pizza like that before. Highly recommend!!! Thank you for hosting me.

04/11/2025: The place may seem like it's from the Ancien Régime, but the view and the delicious dishes are worth a stop without hesitation; resting your eyes and mind on the terrace is a real plus.
17/09/2025: We stopped for lunch after visiting the monasteries of San Benedetto and Santa Scolastica. Beautiful view, excellent food, and very friendly staff. Excellent value!

03/11/2025: It's a shame about the food, which isn't bad, but the service is terrible (40 minutes for water and bread). The worst part is the owner apologizing and saying she'll offer us dessert. Everything was fine until the bill, where we'll see everything.
- The gnocchi with tomato sauce was good.
- The lamb was poorly cooked.
- The dessert should be avoided.
- The best thing is to go out and see the colors of nature.
23/10/2025: Many positives, just as many negatives, a rollercoaster of thoughts... you get angry with the wait, you reward yourself with the intoxicating flavor of the first courses... old-school cooking...
I had homemade gnocchi and a plump sparerib sauce!! Excellent!! To mop up... the sparerib is soft as butter.
then... the freezing cold...
They forget to bring the main courses/side dishes... in the meantime, they run out of ingredients and can no longer prepare the dishes you ordered... they bring you what's left... fast, precise, and you fall in love with them again with the delicacies you receive... stratospheric baked potatoes (like mashed potatoes on the inside, while the outer crust is phenomenal, not a single bit of burning, see photo)
in the meantime, the desserts run out... and again the felo... having seen artisanal tiramisu pass by at the next table...

10/11/2025: We went to eat yesterday, aside from the wait due to an absurd amount of people, it took forever for the food to arrive. We sat for 2 hours for 2 plates of pasta, 2 simple tagliata.
Two hours!! The gnocchi my boyfriend had were inedible; they were floury and flavorless. My pappardelle with wild boar tasted like orange, and I couldn't figure out why! It was inedible... I'd ask before adding any ingredient not listed on the menu to a dish! When it came to tagliata, they brought raw steak when it was specified as well-done... plus, they forgot to remove the tag from the meat. 3 people, 116 euros, a real waste. I'm sorry, but the first time we came, it wasn't like that... I don't know what happened... We won't be back, that's for sure.
09/11/2025: I'm writing this review in the hope that someone will read it and avoid coming here. If you bother reading other reviews, you'll see that I'm not the only one complaining about these problems, so please consider the following.
Despite having booked and agreed on a set menu (25 euros for a plate of polenta and a side dish... whatever), we sat down at 1:30 PM and, after several requests, they brought the first courses at 3:40 PM. The waitress, incompetent and rude, even swore at our tables.
I've never seen anything like this before. I should add that the tables next to ours got up and left in despair.
How can you work like this?

28/10/2025: A real surprise, truly excellent family cuisine, fair prices, quick and courteous service from good people. Nothing to envy from places in the area where you pay 20 euros for a plate of polenta, even dried out. Well done, we'll be back.

The food was truly excellent and plentiful, with carefully prepared and tasty dishes. The service was courteous, attentive, and fast. The value for money was also excellent: you'll leave satisfied, both your palate and your wallet. Highly recommended!

10/10/2025: We discovered this restaurant/brewery by chance and had a very pleasant experience. The place is very cute and well-kept, the food is excellent, and the service is very friendly. We'll definitely be back to try other dishes and craft beers.

18/10/2025: We ordered two plates of ravioli with porcini mushrooms and truffle (they had a different name, but I don't remember the exact name now). They arrived without the truffle.
We asked the waitress for an explanation, and she replied, "We ran out of truffle a week ago, we should have it back this evening." However, she didn't tell us this when we ordered, which would certainly have allowed us to choose another entree.
When it came time to pay, I reported the same problem to the owner at the cashier. He replied, "I assure you, even if there had been truffle, you wouldn't have tasted it, because it's very delicate." He then added, "Next time you come, I'll bring it for you to grate on top. You'll see, you won't be able to taste the truffle anyway."
Are you kidding me?! Where's the politeness and friendliness of an owner who treats his customers with kindness?!
03/09/2025: Disgusting, on the day of August 15th we arrived, we sat down and the table was already set with the appetizers on the table. After 40 minutes they asked us if we wanted water and wine. After an hour we got up and asked for the bill, even though I hadn't eaten anything. He asked us for 15 euros each, we paid and ran away, the only regret that ruined our August 15th.

10/03/2025: Overall it's not bad, let's say the food is good. But for example, the strozzapreti had two different temperatures: the pasta was boiling hot and the sauce was cold (probably already prepared some time ago) and partially raw. The baked potatoes had perhaps been heated in the microwave to present them piping hot, but they dried out and hardened as they cooled.
But the worst thing is the service: we entered shortly after midday, we left after 3pm! The place was perhaps only half full, the order was taken after half an hour of being at the table, the cutting board was brought to us 40 minutes after the order and only after a reminder! Furthermore, it was also not very elegantly retorted.
They have a management problem visible to the customer: they make 3/4 tables start eating at a time, and they only take care of those until they have finished. Then they move on to the other tables which in the meantime have only received water, wine and perhaps (but not always) the boss.
Savory prices: 1 starter, 2 first courses, 1 liter of water, half a liter of white wine on tap, €52.
Yet another unedifying scene, the manager or co-manager sitting at the table eating with a group of friends who, from time to time, got up to go serve the tables, or to clear the table, or to pay the bill at the cashier, all with the same hands without ever going to the bathroom to wash them.
An underage girl who went around the tables clearing and tidying up the tables, and on a couple of occasions also at the cashier to pay the bill.
Family business is fine, it's fine not knowing where to leave it, it's fine to teach it a trade, but you just can't see it at the checkout.

Ristorante pizzeria da Anna

01/05/2025: Conosciamo "Da Anna" ormai da anni... Una garanzia assoluta, cibi freschi e genuini, cucina semplice ma eccellente, cura nei dettagli, accoglienza e cortesia tutto quello che serve per passare una giornata fuori porta. I ravioli al pomodoro sono una delizia anche per i palati più sofisticati, la carne, di una qualità inimitabile... Prezzi onesti vista la quantità. Consigliatissimo 😉
14/03/2025: Siamo stati benissimo. Pizza e servizio superlativi. Tornerò sicuramente.
