30/05/2025: We visited this bar when last in Venice 15 years ago and were very much hoping that it would still be open. Initially we were disappointed as we couldn’t find it located facing Piazza San Marco, when the next day we approached from a different direction, we could see scaffolding obscuring the sign. It’s a great bar, serving snacks, ice cream and alcohol. No tables, just informal standing at the bar, it’s great, we love it. Amazing value, compared to some of the other establishments on the Piazza San Marco. The service is great, an absolute must. Highly recommended.

21/05/2025: TLDR: I do NOT recommend — TERRIBLY service. If I could put 0 stars I would. I did not deserve to have eyes rolled at me as if I am stupid by the worker. If you can’t hear me, SAY SOMETHING. Just because you couldn’t hear me properly does not give you the right the snap at me and roll your eyes at me, repeating EXACTLY WHAT I SAID, with sass. Take a course in customer service or something idk or work elsewhere.

14/06/2025: An absolute nightmare – never again from this hotel! We were disappointed right from the start: The room was in a terrible condition. On the first day, we discovered that there was no remote control for the air conditioning to turn it on or off, and it was constantly set to 25 degrees Celsius – with an outside temperature of over 28 degrees Celsius, this was simply unbearable! I am extremely sensitive to drafts – whether warm or cold – and quickly develop health problems with constant exposure to the air conditioning. We immediately contacted the provided phone number and were promised that a remote control would be delivered to our room immediately. However, after hours of nothing happened, we went to the reception in person. There, we were surprised to learn that there was no remote control at all, as the air conditioning was centrally controlled. We were promised that a technician would take care of it the next morning, as he had already finished work by then – this was supposedly noted. But the next evening, the problem remained unresolved. We went to reception again – and this time we were not only put off, but also given an extremely rude turnaround. The technician was supposedly on vacation and would be back the next day. And again: nothing happened! For three days, we were kept waiting, lied to, and completely abandoned. The nights were pure torture – we couldn't sleep a wink because we were practically lying in our own sweat. And as if that wasn't bad enough, the room itself was in shockingly poor condition: dirty, unhygienic, old, and completely run-down! The carpet had obviously not been vacuumed in months. The carpeted walls were so dusty that it was almost impossible to breathe – I had a constantly stuffy nose. The bathroom was a disgrace: When you showered, you stood in ankle-deep water because the drain was clogged. If our accommodation hadn't been booked, we would have preferred to move to another hotel immediately. There was no way we could relax. This stay was a complete disappointment – ​​dirty, loud, hot, disrespectful to guests, and absolutely not what you would expect from a booked stay. Never again from this hotel – a complete disaster from start to finish!

20/05/2025: We booked through Booking.com, a basic hotel that looked good and, above all, was reasonably priced for Venice!! The hotel was close to the Basilica of Santa Maria and the vaporetto, so great! However, the room had carpet (hello, allergies...) and the layout needs to be improved. The staff wasn't the most welcoming, breakfast was €12/person (very little choice), and the cold cuts looked like they'd been there for two days. I asked for a piece of fruit from the kitchen (I saw a full bowl), which was like asking for the moon (I should point out that there was no fruit on the buffet). I don't recommend breakfast AT ALL. Luckily, the city is charming, which makes up for it.

24/05/2025: ⚠️⚠️⚠️ To be avoided absolutely because they add €4.5 per person to the bill, of which €2.5 for "coperto" (this includes: napkins, serving, bread, cutlery, etc.), and the remaining €2 is "justified" by the Bangladeshi waiter as a "tourist tax". It was bragged that on weekends, the "tax" reaches €10 per person. A shameless lie obviously, because the tourist tax is paid at the hotel, not in restaurants, so it's an ILLEGAL(!!!) pretext to extract extra money from uninformed tourists. You can complain by notifying the Financial Guard and keeping the receipt. Otherwise, bad service, arrogant staff, no attention or kindness towards the consumer. Much contempt for tourists which is also reflected in the poor quality of the culinary dishes. Very bad experience!

23/11/2024: We went to this restaurant to celebrate the Redeemer of Venice, and it was a phenomenal experience for us. We were able to dine in the splendid atmosphere of Venice seen from above and admire the famous fireworks without having to suffer the classic crowd of people. If in our opinion the dishes were not particularly convincing, the service and entertainment certainly were. We were welcomed into the hotel's dining room for an aperitif, with many traditional cicchetti buffets and various drinks to choose from, also as an alternative to the spritz. Then they made us move to the actual restaurant, on the panoramic terrace under the Dome overlooking the canal and the station area, where we were able to have a hearty dinner: two seafood appetizers, two first courses and a second course, finishing with the grand buffet of desserts, by the spoon and by the slice. All the dishes were good, perhaps a touch of extra flavor was missing but the service was truly perfect, the staff were friendly and quick. For the animation, they invited a very good singer, with a repertoire that ranges from the 80s to the 2000s and a very clear voice. A note of merit goes to the DJ, a well-known name from Radio Company, who was able to delight us with the most charged notes during the Redeemer fireworks, which can be seen comfortably from the terrace. All at an honest price: €75 each. Warmly recommended.

14/09/2024: Anyone who begs for a bad recommendation should get it. Unfortunately, we went to a restaurant without reading. Why, well, because it was 7:30 p.m., no one was queuing and there was space. The map... it's a disgrace how little there is on the map. But the prices are upper class and expensive. The cover at 2.80 is also the highest in 3 weeks in Italy. The glass of house wine, so only 0.125ml at 5.00. The can of cola or lemon soda 4.50. The shop was filling up and people were waiting around us for ages and people who came later had their food earlier. The couple with a small child got it quickly, had a burger and macaroni, left half of it and said you can't eat it. The best thing was a table with 5 people, who ultimately all had pizza and got the food divided into 3 parts by a huge margin. A table behind us that came right after us got upset when we left because they still didn't have anything. And even though the fat boss takes everything on the tray. We had to ask twice to pay until the fat boss told us we had to go over to the cash desk. PLEASE DON'T GO THERE, A CLEAR NO!!! (09/14/2024)

21/04/2025: Katastrophe das Essen, Bedienung prolig,einfach nicht zu empfehlen!!!!! Keine Danke ..Essen wird nur dahin genallt -Im warsten Sinne des Wortes- Essen nur aufgewärmt, ohne Geschmack, Den Koch ,wenn es überhaupt einer ist,sollte besser gehen.

02/05/2025: posto molto carino isolato dal caos di venezia, con spazio all aperto e al chiuso, piatti tipici e a basso prezzo ma soprattutto personale disponibile e gentile.

23/04/2025: Esperienza davvero pessima! Difficilmente ci è successo. Il personale non è per niente gentile e ci hanno portato il primo piatto dopo solo tre minuti esatti dall'antipasto! Gli spaghetti alla Rivetta, con i frutti di mare, erano scotti e insieme al pomodoro c'era anche la panna, completamente fuori luogo! Le cozze, presenti sia nell'antipasto che nel primo piatto, avevano un sapore disgustoso. E infatti abbiamo vomitato qualche ora più tardi! È stato fatto presente al personale, ma hanno volutamente ignorato il problema. Di solito il piatto non gradito non viene fatto pagare, oppure viene proposta una sostituzione. Loro, invece, non ci hanno neppure fatto lo sconto. I prezzi sono alti e mangiare all'aperto significa respirare una puzza nauseante proveniente dal rio a fianco. Ci sono posti decisamente migliori di questo a Venezia!

30/05/2025: I recommend this place. I come back there every time we are on holiday in Bibione. Delicious, real Italian coffee. Delicious brioche. Polite owner and very nice waitress.

02/06/2025: We really enjoyed our spaghetti with clams and seafood pasta - noodles were al dente and the sauces were great! We also ordered the sea bass but it was bland and had an odd texture. The attentive waiter seemed to pick up on this and want to mediate, but we didn’t want to make a fuss - so that’s on us! Overall a bit expensive but you get good portion sizes. Also a great location and has nice staff.

31/05/2025: Really expensive drinks and service charge despite us not having food. Really rude servers. Do not give them your money.

13/05/2025: The food was okay. Honestly, we ate well, but nothing special. It's too noisy and the tables are too close together. They add a 15% service charge to the total bill, and they also tell you that the tip isn't included. Isn't that 15% the tip for service? It also leaves a lot to be desired. The staff isn't rude, but they're not friendly either; they're very serious and in too much of a hurry. It's not a pleasant restaurant to eat in. I don't recommend it. There are many better restaurants than this one with better service and better prices.
