20/05/2025: A really perfect kiosk for an aperitif break! We stopped by chance and it turned out to be a wonderful discovery: excellent cocktails, well prepared and served with care, all accompanied by a splendid view of the canal that makes the atmosphere even more pleasant. The girls who served us were very kind and very helpful, always with a smile and ready to advise. A simple place but with an extra edge, ideal for relaxing and enjoying a quality moment. We will definitely be back for another aperitif!

11/05/2025: Small corner overlooking the lagoon perfect for a relaxing break. The waiters are kind and friendly, the atmosphere is quiet and welcoming. Great for a spritz or a coffee with a view. Recommended for those looking for a break away from the tourist chaos!

23/06/2025: La prima saletta è carina, l'altra invece molto grande rumorosa con le finestre aperte perché girasse un po' d'aria.Chiediamo al cameriere che non vogliamo il pesce decongelato e lui ci risponde che è tutto fresco, ma sul menù ci sono gli asterischi che lo indicano, comunque ci fidiamo e ordiniamo 2 antipasti di dentici discreti 3 risotti di cappe e cozze senza fumetto di pesce ma solo con acqua, 3 fritture con olio vecchio e molto unte,1 sorbetto discreto, 2caffè 2 acque e mezzo litro di vino sfuso pagato. Noi non ritorniamo più ....peccato

02/05/2025: Una pasticceria storica stupenda ma con il personale altamente maleducato che preferisce i clienti amici ai clienti non amici. Eravamo già dentro in attesa di un saluto e di un 'prego cosa desiderate' che sono entrati altri clienti quindi dopo di noi con i quali, la signora, ha iniziato ad interagire scherzando e ciaccolando oltre che a servirli prima di noi che eravamo li come dei fantasmi. Una maleducazione ed un servizio pessimo, sicuramente non ci vedrete e vi aiuterò con la pubblicità.

21/07/2025: Antica Locanda Montin is, as its name suggests, a historical inn, still offering both accommodation and food. The restaurant and décor are steeped in nostalgia, perhaps to a fault. This review is strictly for the restaurant. The main dining room is dark and very traditional, with paintings covering nearly every wall. It could certainly use a modern refresh. The garden, its best feature, is genuinely lovely and surprisingly spacious, especially by Venetian standards. The service is polite, which in Venice qualifies as a minor miracle. The main issue is the food. The restaurant is rooted in tradition, but unfortunately, also stuck in it. The menu is so firmly anchored in the past, it seems to have missed several culinary movements, including most of the last seven decades. The same tired Venetian classics are trotted out, lovingly untouched by innovation or whim. No seasonal variation, no playful reinterpretation, just the same dishes, again and again. I can’t imagine the existential dread of being a chef here. While most restaurants now respond to the rhythms of nature, shifting menus by the week or even by the day, Antica Locanda Montin remains immovable. Its menu changes not by season, but by era, and the era in question appears to be post-war austerity. Elsewhere, restaurants accommodate dietary needs with grace and creativity. Here, asking for a vegetarian or vegan option feels like you’re getting less, not something different of equal value. It’s a real pity. The place still radiates charm, and its story is tied to great names in the arts. One only wishes they would breathe some fresh air into both the décor and the cuisine ... the place deserves it.

20/07/2025: Hidden away, it's hard to find if you don't know it. It's certainly not a "hit and run" place. A historic, very characteristic place. The food is good, and the staff is very professional and friendly. What more can I say? It can't be said more. Prices... directly proportional to the service and quality. 😍

14/08/2025: Excellent place for lunch and aperitifs, offering tramezzini, panini, and simple dishes. Historic venue, conveniently located for quick access to the mainland. Comes to life in the evenings.

02/08/2025: Good food all around! Our server was quick to push a large amount of starters for the table that were far more than we needed, but garlic bread and cheeses were delicious. The cuttlefish ink pasta is a Venice specialty, and it was fantastic here. Fried calamari was a bit tough. Service did take quite a bit.

The atmosphere is welcoming, charming, and full of true Venetian soul. The food? Simply sensational! 🍝🍷 We tried a divine pappardelle, the best dish of the trip—perfect pasta, striking flavor, a true explosion of Italy in every bite. My Jake chose a linguine with a base of peanuts, tomatoes, and lobster—surprising, creative, and delicious! We paired it all with a Valpolicella from the Veneto region, which added even more elegance to the experience. All served with impeccable, friendly, and attentive service. It was a remarkable evening, a celebration of Italian cuisine that will forever remain in our memories ✨🍷❤️. 04/07/2025: Good offer with really tasty dishes and very fresh fish. We liked the gnocchetti with crab (gransoporro not blue crab!) and rosemary and the grilled sea bass. We will definitely be back.

01/08/2025: In my opinion, a great restaurant. We ordered two family pizzas (slices, Hawaiian) to take away. We waited about 5 minutes. We paid 45 euros. The staff is friendly. While we were waiting, we noticed that people's portions were large. A little noisy.

31/07/2025: Really good food, reasonably priced and the portions are nice. Be aware that the food is made in different kitchens - so it comes a bit scattered. Generally there is not much fizzy syrup soda in Italy.

03/07/2025: We were there about a week ago on a Sunday after a visit to Pellestrina Island. Friendly staff, historic location that I really liked that overlooks a small internal square compared to the main road, I recommend their pasticcio ci pesce which should be a typical local dish. Fried food that is not greasy and of quality. The only thing is that I would have expected larger portions but it's fine anyway. I recommend booking

12/08/2025: TOURIST TRAP: AVOID!! The restaurant we wanted to go to was closed for holidays. We were out late and options were limited so we ended up here. The tuna tartare was not fresh, and tastelessly bland. We wanted to run but it was too late. I fell for the FISH SPECIAL SCAM too (embarrassing). The fish itself was ok(ish), but the price was insane. The bill was 116 EUR for one starter, two mains and water. The waiter harassed us for a tip too. When I think what you can get for that money in other places in Venice, it’s criminal. AVOID.

15/07/2025: Evite este restaurante, hay tantos buenos restaurantes en Venecia desafortunadamente este no es uno de ellos. Sí, es una buena ubicación, pero el servicio es horrible, platos pedidos que nunca llegaron a pesar de perseguir 3 veces. Comida devuelta tan no cocinada como se pidió. Inodoros no limpios. Terrible experiencia de tal vergüenza cuando solo estás en Venecia durante unos días.

13/07/2025: Ombra del Leone is a restaurant that seems promising at first, but after waiting an hour for the food, they bring out the main course before the appetizers. The food is poorly prepared or overly seasoned. With so many restaurant options in Venice, I recommend choosing somewhere else and not wasting your time here.

20/07/2025: Decent hotel however location is not quite ideal. A lot of steps where you’ll have to pick your luggage up and down. Rooms are also small and cramped up.

13/06/2025: A beautiful place, like all of Venice. Andrea welcomed us at midnight and gave us tons of information to help us have a wonderful stay. The period room had a small balcony overlooking the canal, which was the icing on the cake!
