10/08/2024: The service was very bad. Although only 5 tables were occupied. Some guests left the restaurant early. The starter is overpriced. The spaghetti was too salty and bad. Coperta at 5 euros is simply too expensive. I cannot recommend the restaurant.

18/07/2024: I feel like giving only 3 stars for the portions that are more like a kinder snack than a "trattoria" (as per the name, which should also be "ancient", i.e. from the past). Let's say they look more for quality (more than good, nothing to say) rather than quantity. Young, trained and kind staff. I close by apologizing in advance for the jeremiad, but I will once again continue my verbal crusade against the continuous mockery of the cover charge, which is rampant in our country. Here we paid €3 each for a skimpy basket of bread, cutlery and plates. Ironically, being seated outside (in the square in Conegliano, very nice) we weren't even "covered": that is, if it rains I'll take it on my head (to be fair, there is a canvas cover for the tables external, but we were slightly away from it). This damned story must end, because it is an insult to the intelligence of the consumer: if someone goes out to eat in a restaurant, the least that can be offered to him is a table, a chair, some cutlery and a piece of bread. The three of us ordered 8 courses. I'd rather pay you €1 more per course (€8 more for the exercise, in this case) than leave you with the damned cover (€9 total: that is, they would have lost nothing more than €1 total by paying €1 more for food on the menu) and get grabbed by the ass like that. Obviously this doesn't only apply to Antica Trattoria Stella, cover charge is a plague that spreads throughout Italy.

20/07/2024: Went to dinner with some colleagues. Nice environment and friendly, helpful staff. Excellent quality food. Must try all the starters. Grill only on Saturdays.

21/06/2024: The last two times (shortly between them) that I went there I noticed with regret a notable regression of this restaurant which I have always counted among my favourites, perhaps I was unlucky. I invite you to improve the service and to pay more attention to the cooking times of the meat. It probably was a bad period.

26/07/2024: In summer you eat outdoors, in a space flanked by the wonderful waters of the placid and generous Meschio river and surrounded and flooded by the greenery of the lawn and the lush hills that surround the place. The blue drop of the small pool paints a picture in the eyes of the regenerating guest. Elegant and functional furniture. The interior is equally refined and welcoming. The dishes are based on research both for starters and first and second courses, fish and meat, but are striking for the surprise of the flavour, strong and rarely experienced. Even traditional ravioli reworked with herbs releases a satisfying flavour. The meat is excellent. The grand finale is the "Bewitched Apple" dessert, which honors its name without exaggeration, surprising in its preparation, appearance and above all delicacy of flavour. Friendly, professional and approachable staff.
