28/08/2025: Chic location just outside Padua, a limited menu (a definite plus for me), wonderful grilled dishes. An impressive wine list. Always a pleasure to return.

21/08/2025: And so, after a first and overall positive experience dating back to last summer, a few days ago we returned to Gino's and were once again generally satisfied 👍. Arriving at 8:30 pm 🕣, a little earlier than our reservation time 📱 (i.e. 8:45 pm), we were cordially greeted by a waiter 🧑🏻 who accompanied us to our table, this time set inside at the back of the room (in June we had dined on the veranda). Having already booked 📞 the Florentine steak 🥩 to ensure availability (last time we were "forced" to settle for an excellent rib-eye steak), we basically just browsed the wine list 📋 🍷, paying some attention. From this point of view, in fact, our first experience here wasn't a very happy one 🙄, since we ordered, moreover on the waiter's advice 🧔🏻, a wine 🍷 that we didn't like at all 👎. The latter, a French Syrah 🇫🇷 for a whopping 40 euros 💶 a bottle, unfortunately gave off a very strong smell of brine, which the waiter 🧔🏻 had warned us about in advance (I emphasize this for the sake of fairness), which in the long run, however, proved unbearable. I say "in the long run" because, during tasting, the smell seemed to me tolerable overall compared to the otherwise decent flavor. This time, however, again on the staff's suggestion, we opted for a Dolcetto D'Alba which, while pleasant, didn't thrill us (especially considering the 30 euros 💶 cost of the bottle). What I've said so far certainly attests to my complete ineptitude as a taster 😅 but, perhaps, also to a certain general "bad luck" linked to the fact of not being able to find the right wine, let's put it that way. For the rest, the "Florentine" 🥩 (a 1.2 kg cut) was impeccable 👌, as was the rib-eye steak we ordered with it (for three people it seemed like a good solution). To complete the order, we also had two liters of water 💧, grilled porcini/chanterelle mushrooms, potatoes 🥔 garnished with a sauce and snow peas sprinkled with cheese 🧀). The mushrooms were truly delicious 😋 and delicate, perhaps the best I've ever tasted, but the green beans were certainly worthy of note too. To conclude, three desserts (cheesecake 🍰, figs with ricotta ice cream, and grilled pineapple 🍍) and two coffees ☕ at the end of the meal, which were also undoubtedly good. Good value considering we spent a total of 222 euros 💶 (so 74 each). The staff 🧑🏻🧔🏻 were kind and friendly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, thanks in part to the perfectly chosen theme. The bathrooms 🚾 were clean and tidy 🚽🧻🧴. For us, it's a guarantee, so I RECOMMEND IT 👍. 06/09/2025: Excellent neighborhood pizzeria, with a wide selection, and excellent pizza and topping quality. The service is fast and friendly. It's always busy and does a great job as a local pizzeria. Seating is available both inside and outside, although always covered.

26/09/2025: Good food. It's a shame about the "golden" trolley of boiled and roasted meats, a fixed price you pay regardless of the quantity you choose. The bill is exorbitant.

19/10/2025: We had a lovely dinner at Tolo Rasa on a Friday evening. We felt sorry for Chef Luca as we were the only guests that evening. Despite that unusual circumstance, the Chef and his two kitchen staff and a lovely waitress presented a wonderful selection of dishes we chose from two tasing menus. Everything we tried reflected great care in preparation and presentation and was described by Chef Luca.

03/10/2025: We came to this restaurant as a couple, drawn by the excellent reviews. The restaurant is very beautiful, spread across two floors with modern furnishings. The staff immediately proved to be friendly, professional, and very attentive to their customers. We opted for the two-course fixed-price menu for €70 (€65 + €5 cover charge). For our first course, we both ordered risotto with chanterelle mushrooms, trout, and tobacco zabaglione. The menu looked interesting, but the flavor of the pieces of trout atop the risotto contrasted too much with the aroma and bold flavor of the mushrooms. I had to remove them from the plate to savor the risotto, which was good, but a bit too salty and unnecessarily spicy. I would also have avoided the sweetish taste of the zabaglione. It would be a shame to ruin the delicious chanterelle mushrooms with flavors that, in my opinion, didn't really complement that dish. For our second course, I ordered sea bass with creamed green beans and a caramelized cherry tomato. The cooking was too elaborate, which dulled the flavor of the fish, making it almost undeniable. My wife had the lamb with leeks and a piece of potato flake. Again, the cooking was overdone and weighed down by the oil and spices. She couldn't finish the dish. The potato was also too greasy and heavy. If the main ingredients (mushrooms, fish, meat) are fresh and authentic, they shouldn't be overpowered by overly intense, unbalanced flavors. We greatly appreciated the kind and attentive waitress who constantly refilled our water glasses; we ordered two bottles to counteract the overly salty flavors of the dishes. As you can imagine, we didn't enjoy the food, and considering the price, we strongly advise against this restaurant. We didn't feel like continuing with dessert (€15) and coffee (€7). Another criticism I have is the limited wine selection by the glass. The only positive was the courtesy and kindness of the staff, who at the end offered us a small glass of herbal tea, which was much appreciated, to change the taste in our mouths.

14/10/2025: The service and behavior of the waiter serving outside is below any culture. We were there on Saturday and there were only 4 girls on the terrace. At first he ignored us for a good 15 minutes even though he had nothing to do. We waited 30 minutes for coffee and ice cream and in the end we got up and left without getting anything.

12/10/2025: We found a welcoming place with extremely friendly staff, prompt and orderly service, and delicious food. Highly recommended for celiacs...the gluten-free dishes are delicious and tasty, even for children (my son was delighted). I think I can confidently say that it's a must-visit for anyone staying in Padua. Warm regards and thanks to the owner and staff from Caserta, who were delighted.

06/10/2025: Very good food, not a lot of imagination in the dishes, but the quality is truly excellent. The hot dishes, in particular, are exceptional! The service is a bit old-fashioned, and the place is a bit too bare. If you don't care about the location and just want to eat well, this is the place!

27/08/2025: The internal garden is beautiful. The pizza I ate was good, but the service was terrible. The staff is inattentive and doesn't listen. They delivered our pizzas incorrectly twice: once they mixed up the order (we had ordered two different calzones and they gave it to the wrong person), and then they made the wrong pizza (it arrived cooked when we had requested it without). The waiters are crucial to the experience, and unfortunately, in this case, they significantly degraded it. These mistakes caused the table to eat at different times. I'll give it another chance.

12/09/2025: Stopped in our first full day in Padua. Service was very friendly and willing to answer questions. We weren't super hungry so we just had salads and a lasagna. Greens were fresh and the basalmic was perfect! The place doesn't look like much from the outside but worth a stop!
