The gnocchi are excellent, as are the roasts and boiled meats, which are definitely worth trying. Don't miss the asparagus when in season.

We had a truly special and pleasant experience, thanks above all to the welcome and treatment we received from Petra and Israel, who were kind, attentive, and professional.
In addition to the impeccable service, we ate wonderfully: everything was truly delicious and carefully prepared. A special mention goes to the boiled meats trolley, simply exceptional, and the agnolotti, truly amazing. Everything was very plentiful. We were celebrating a friend's birthday... the friend everyone should have in their lifetime, and Israel and Petra sensed it... the lights in the room went out and the cakes with candles came in, and the guests of the evening sang Happy Birthday... we were moved and I want to thank everyone. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
An experience we recommend and will certainly remember with great fondness. We recommend it and we will definitely be back. Thank you 💕

Very professional and attentive service, excellent food. The atmosphere is a bit dated but in keeping with the menu, which features traditional Venetian cuisine. Recommended.

Memories, as we know, always tend to outshine reality. Yet, once I found my way back to Ristorante da Giovanni and walked through the front door, I had the impression that everything had remained as it was: the white tablecloths, the large counter, that slightly suspended atmosphere I remembered so well. I used to go there every year during Arte Fiera, until about fifteen years ago.
Parking nearby is always tricky, and even on a normal weekday at 1 pm, the situation was no different. There were two of us, a friend and I. We weren't offered the signature pat of butter that used to be automatically brought to the table, a detail that made me smile with a hint of nostalgia.
I ordered the gnocchi, served with four different sauces to choose from: impeccable. My friend had the boiled meats, accompanied by two sauces (horseradish and green), which, in her opinion, was really well done. We added two side dishes and two glasses of wine, plus a third glass to share. No dessert, just two coffees.
The bill came to almost €100, which seemed a bit high to me. Looking at the details, I immediately understood the reason: the wine. Good, yes, but decidedly expensive—€12 a glass. Considering that a bottle yields about seven glasses, the implicit price of the bottle would have been around €84, an objectively disproportionate amount.
The staff is courteous, the atmosphere pleasant, and the setting retains the simple, genuine charm I remembered. It's a shame about the wine markup, which slightly detracts from the overall experience (one star less).
