05/05/2025: A truly unparalleled experience: the preparation of the dishes is up to the standards of a high-level restaurant, with a quality that stands out in every detail. The cheeses are made by them, the cured meats are delicious, the first courses are excellent and the second courses are very tender and melt in your mouth. The two owners explained each dish to us with great passion, which clearly shines through in this young but promising business. I have no doubt that, in a short time, it will become one of the reference mountain huts in the area.

Arrivati troviamo una famiglia dalla straordinaria gentilezza e disponibilità. Piatti ricercati con prodotti di grande qualità a prezzi onesti. Vale un viaggio

16/04/2025: Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants. Beautiful place, with attention to every detail, staff always attentive and kind. Every time you come back they welcome you with great warmth. Sublime dishes accompanied by excellent wines. For me a point of reference every time I stay in Sappada.

31/03/2025: Moonshine Sappada: a gastronomic certainty that never disappoints Whenever I can, I am happy to return to Moonshine in Sappada, and this time too the experience lived up to expectations. It wasn't my first visit, but every time they manage to surprise me with carefully crafted dishes and perfectly balanced flavours. We went for lunch and started with a fried egg on Gorgonzola and broccoli cream, an appetizer that was able to enhance the contrast between the creaminess of the cheese and the delicacy of the vegetables, with the yolk that tied everything together in a sublime way. Followed by a deer cooked to perfection, accompanied by a pear cooked in saffron and star anise, a refined combination that added a deep, spicy note to the meat, enhancing the flavor without overpowering it. The onion soup was another great classic masterfully executed: warm, enveloping and with that irresistible gratin that made every spoonful a small pleasure. But the real strong point of Moonshine remain the desserts, always surprising and with attention to the smallest details. A perfect ending to a lunch that confirms, once again, the quality of this restaurant. In addition to the excellent cuisine, what makes Moonshine special is the service and hospitality, which are difficult to find elsewhere. The staff is attentive, helpful and capable of making you feel at home, without ever being intrusive. Hospitality that truly makes the difference and makes each visit a unique experience. If you are looking for a place to eat well in Sappada, with a warm atmosphere and impeccable service, Moonshine is a safe choice. I'll be back as soon as I can!

25/05/2025: Mai in vita mia sono stato maltrattato in maniera tanto spettacolare da un ristoratore. Ho prenotato un tavolo per 3 adulti e 4 bambini, concordando peraltro la serata più tranquilla possibike onde creare al ristoratore il meno disagio possibile. Arriviamo puntuali alle 19 e ci mettiamo a tavola. Ci servono il primo e sin lì tutto bene. Passa oltre un'ora e il secondo non arriva. I bambini iniziano ad agitarsi e io porto fuori il più piccolo per cercare di calmarlo. Poco dopo esce mia moglie per avvertirmi che avevano già chiuso la cucina e non avrebbero servito il secondo. Erano le 20:23. Mi sono ritrovato con quattro bambini urlanti, una moglie diabetica in ipoglicemia e un ospite alla quale avevo peraltro cantato le lodi di questo posto per tutta la settimana. Nonostante ciò mi hanno presentato un conto di ottanta euro, come se avessi consumato la cena per intero. Sono inorridito dal trattamento ricevuto e mi mancano le parole per esprimere la miserabile e orripilante serata passata in questo posto.

25/05/2025: Never in my life have I been treated more poorly by any establishment of any sort. After serving me the pasta, I was left waiting for an hour. It is worth mentioning that we booked for 7 p.m. I was later informed, at 8 p.m., that the kitchen eas closed. I was left eithout main course with four children and a diabetic wife with falling blood sugar. I was then presented with a full bill as if I consumed every course. I am beyond appalled.

07/06/2025: Dinner and night in an enchanting place, far from everything and everyone, in a place that borders on paradise, a view that first awakens the heart and soul and then slowly the body... 5-star rooms, bathroom as well (only the bathroom door in frosted glass and without a lock did not go down well). Balconies with breathtaking views, flavored water as a welcome. Breakfast with very good products, quality and great variety and quantity, brand new and characteristic interiors. Also regarding the restaurant nothing to say, refined cuisine and not at the same time, average prices. Very kind staff.

18/05/2025: What a surprise! Real and authentic Italian Trattoria. Unusual location in the middle of a small town. Parking place 50 steps away from the entrance. You will be welcomed with a smile and a small appetiser of the house. Then the choices for the pasta (first plate) are all awesome! Also the house wine is very good. Definitely a place to visit again!

28/04/2025: A corner of paradise surrounded by nature We had a wonderful stay at La Casa nei Boschi, an agriturismo that really manages to make guests feel at home. The rooms are spotless, with attention to detail and tastefully furnished, with a breathtaking view of the Belluno Dolomites that makes you start the day with a smile every morning. The food is simply delicious: fresh, local, zero kilometer products, cooked with passion and authenticity. Every meal is an experience that tells the story of the territory. But the real added value are the owners: welcoming, friendly, always available. Special thanks go to Max, who with his legendary personalized maps helped us discover places, paths and experiences tailor-made for us. His knowledge of the area and the desire to share it really make the difference. A place to recommend to anyone looking for relaxation, nature, excellent food and a sincere welcome.

28/04/2025: Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno meraviglioso presso La Casa nei Boschi, un agriturismo che riesce davvero a far sentire gli ospiti come a casa. Le camere sono pulitissime, curate nei dettagli e arredate con gusto, con una vista mozzafiato sulle dolomiti bellunesi che ogni mattina ti fa iniziare la giornata col sorriso. Il cibo è semplicemente delizioso: prodotti freschi, locali, a chilometro zero, cucinati con passione e genuinità. Ogni pasto è un'esperienza che racconta il territorio. Ma il vero valore aggiunto sono i proprietari: accoglienti, simpatici, sempre disponibili. Un ringraziamento speciale va a Max, che con le sue mitiche cartine personalizzate ci ha aiutato a scoprire luoghi, sentieri ed esperienze su misura per noi. La sua conoscenza del territorio e la voglia di condividerla fanno davvero la differenza. Un posto da consigliare a chiunque cerchi relax, natura, ottimo cibo e un’accoglienza sincera.

05/06/2025: Fixed menu for 40 euros, the best restaurant in town! We loved it so much that we went twice in our 4 day trip to Dolomites! Definitely worth a detour.

26/05/2025: Simple, rustic place. Few seats and reservations are mandatory. You eat what there is and it's all excellent, served in the right quantities. Wine and grappa also artisanal production very good. Simple and courteous service. Price slightly above average, but the quality of the food makes up for it
