30/08/2025: We left Zoppé di Cadore for the Rifugio Venezia (trail marker 471). On our way back, we stopped by the mountain hut to buy some traditional products. Drawn by the delicious aromas and excellent reviews, we found one of the few unreserved tables (so I recommend booking!) and sampled the mountain hut cuisine. We were speechless. First of all, the ingredients were incredible, the preparation and presentation were excellent. The chef and the cheesemaker (the two brothers of the family that runs the mountain hut) are true professionals. The cheesemaker in particular is very kind, attentive, helpful, friendly, and extremely polite. The chef, a man with golden hands, creates breathtaking combinations in his dishes: agnolotti with pumpkin and amaretti, agnolotti with ossobuco and blueberries, agnolotti with polenta and chanterelle mushrooms with currants. These three dishes alone speak volumes about the research and uniqueness of this mountain hut. Delicious appetizers, from fresh and hard cheeses to cured meats, all made in-house. The first courses, as mentioned, were perfect. For main courses, we chose the boiled meat, another super-good ingredient, cooked exceptionally well (12 hours of low-temperature boiling, sous vide!), and the goat ribs... EXCEPTIONAL! We finished the meal with three coffees and a Sacher torte, also homemade, which was wonderful. We paired our meal with an excellent red wine. The quality/price ratio was unparalleled in this area of ​​Cadore, especially considering the fact that the ingredients are locally sourced. What more can we say? They are passionate and knowlegeble of what makes a perfect dish, I was also pleasantly surprised of the creativity of their menu all with local produced products. Strongly suggest a visit, we will be back.

05/10/2025: My wife and I have tried a few michelin starred restaurants and this one stands out, cannot recommend it highly enough. They explain how their farm works, the dairy production/crops/animals. They talked about how the uneaten food is recycled to their animals. They talked about how they were using ingredients in non traditional ways to stick to their farm to table ethos (such as preparing celery in such a way as to get sugar out of it). Really fascinating stuff. The food was absolutely phenomenal. We loved the amuse bouche with peas (pictured). Their rye bread and butter were incredibly special (pictured). The main was beef tongue w/ this herbal ragout that was fantastic. A wonderful surprise was being able to see their cheese making in the basement while having the housemade cheese course (pictured). They were kind and flexible to dietary restrictions and the amount of alcohol you wanted to drink (you could order a wine pairing or just glass-by-glass pairings with your meal. the wine pairing was like 8-10, my wife got 3). I made reservations a couple weeks prior to our vacation there, no issue.

13/10/2025: An old-fashioned trattoria near the train station. A step back in time, impossible not to remember when I was a child with my grandfather, with quick and easy meals. The price includes wine, water, a side salad, and an appetizer of cheeses and cured meats. You can then choose a first course and/or a second course with a side dish. It's super quick, delicious, and filling. Coffee is included, of course. Fair price: €13 with a first course and side dish, €18 with a second course. A wonderful experience.

03/10/2025: A traditional trattoria serving authentic local cuisine. Friendly and courteous service, combined with excellent dishes, make this place a must-visit if you're passing through Belluno. A fresh side salad and a selection of local cured meats and cheeses are included with your meal. The red wine is also drinkable and pleasant. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.

05/10/2025: We had dinner. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The wait was almost non-existent; as soon as they took our plates away, the next one arrived immediately. We had a cheese platter as an appetizer, along with a fillet of beef with green peppercorns and wild boar cheeks with mashed potatoes. Everything was DELICIOUS, no complaints at all; we enjoyed the dinner until the last bite. The desserts were also truly delicious. Truly excellent value for money! Highly recommended 🤩 We'll definitely be back as soon as we can.

05/10/2025: We went tonight for the first time and were truly impressed! The food was divine: perfect combinations of flavors and textures, dishes crafted with attention to every detail. The staff were extremely kind, attentive, and never intrusive. A truly impeccable experience in every way!

07/10/2025: The location, rooms, bedding, and bathroom conditions are all excellent. The exterior may look like an old house, but the interior is modern. The quadruple room has kitchenware, so you can cook simple meals. It's perfect. While the hotel's parking lot only accommodates about six cars, you can park on the street outside.

18/09/2025: Recommended hotel for relaxing with your partner or family. Excellent and very clean rooms. The food is exquisite and top-quality, and the price is worth it. The staff is friendly, helpful, and very welcoming.

14/09/2025: A small, rustic, and welcoming place. The girl who served us was absolutely attentive and gracious. A good selection of dishes, each one better than the last. It's a shame we weren't more hungry at the end. A wonderful discovery just a few kilometers from home. Congratulations to Matteo. Highly recommended.

29/08/2025: DON'T abandon all hope, you who enter. The entrance is anything but inviting; it tends towards rustic, very rustic. The restaurant, however, is equally rustic but familiar. The food is exceptional, a unique menu with countless delicious dishes, some reminiscent of old-world flavors, others more modern. Vegetarians are catered for, but must indicate this when booking. Bread and excellent wine galore, dessert, coffee, and a traditional digestif. All for 40 euros. It's not a small amount, but it's well spent, believe me. Excellent and fast service. Reservations are required, preferably well in advance. A great place to bring your guests or for a family celebration. I highly recommend it.

27/08/2025: This was the best Rifugio we stayed at during our Alta Via Hike. It is technically little off the route, but is definitely worth the detour. The room was spacious, compared to many others we experienced. Since they can accomodate only about 10 people, there is a very cosy atmosphere. The staff was very kind and the dinner was by far the best. It was also possible to order from regular menu, since they host other customers. I cannot recommend it enough :)

21/08/2025: We hadn't booked, but the girl found us a table for two (so far so good). We waited 25 minutes before they asked us for drinks. Another 10 minutes for the menu. But despite this, the dishes arrived fairly quickly. The prices were quite high, but good.

22/09/2025: It has been a while since I really enjoyed a meal this much. This is a beautiful location. We enjoyed the lasagna al ragu bianco and the Tris di canerdeli in ricotta. Both delicious. Their white house wine from the Veneto region was splendid. Add the friendly and attentive staff and it was a lovely experience. We will return.

19/09/2025: A wonderfully peaceful farm run by a very nice couple with lots of love and kindness. Hospitality is a top priority here. The food is second to none, with everything prepared using local specialties.
