22/09/2025: The gelato is fabulous, with a very detailed flavor selection. We also had a tray of almond, walnut, and chocolate pastries. I can only add that they are spectacular!
21/09/2025: Our experience at this establishment was unfortunately negative. The staff proved unprofessional and rude: when we asked for a non-alcoholic aperitif, we were met with judgmental attitudes and disapproving looks, as if an aperitif could only exist with alcohol. This was a misconception and disrespectful, given that in many establishments, it's perfectly normal to offer non-alcoholic options.
The tables weren't adequately cleaned, and the service was disorganized, with orders being forgotten several times. The "aperitif" service was also particularly disappointing: a tiny container of chips, completely inadequate for expectations and the asking price.
The prices, in fact, were high and unjustified by either the quality of the products or the level of service. This establishment has potential, but its management fails to convey care or respect for its customers.

07/04/2026: The stars for the location can't make up for the stars for the food. I may have been unlucky to eat on a holiday after Easter, but it was absolutely disappointing and almost a rip-off. €14 per person for an appetizer that included only a slice of pork loin, two small supplì (mini supplì that you can also find in supermarkets, frozen food section), two small pieces of artichokes fried in day-old batter, and to finish, a slice of corallina with a plate of reheated coratella.
€14 includes an aperitif with bruschetta, ham, mozzarella, and a Campari Spritz.
I'm a payer, but as a Roman, I want to eat what I pay for, and if I pay to see an empty plate or to leave €40 per person for an appetizer and a first course with a bottle of wine, I won't stand for it.
Also because it's not a gourmet restaurant with a torn tablecloth and old chairs.
Then for the rest everything is beautiful and perfect, but those who are "bona forchetta" look at certain things.

08/04/2026: Last August, the path of flavor took me through the streets of Terni. The cuisine at Il Cicalino was rich in delicacies and variety, and I took the opportunity to photograph the dishes according to my own taste (more detailed and close-up), in addition to the Glovo guidelines, which require framing the entire dish.
14/03/2026: A unique experience, one to repeat. Excellent pizza delivered in minutes, hand-made fries with accompanying sauces. Homemade desserts and coffee made with quality ingredients. House specialty: berry cheesecake. Scented tablecloths and sparkling silverware. Recommended for weddings and christenings. Authentic lighting.

03/03/2026: I went to this place for breakfast for a week, and the croissants were excellent.
I'm sorry to find it so awful.
But the service is very slow, and one in particular doesn't serve guests even though there are waiting!
It's a shame because the
kindness that's missing and better service would be enough.
16/02/2026: Embarrassing service. With the place empty, the blonde lady at the counter forced us to serve ourselves. Without a tray, we brought coffee, water, and desserts to the table, under her annoyed gaze. Such behavior, without a shred of help or courtesy, is shameful. I've never seen such rudeness.

This would have been the perfect opportunity. Forget about friendliness, cleanliness, good food, and fair prices; here you'll find the exact opposite.
A disgrace for the city of Orvieto.
08/04/2026: The treatment of school students who speak excellent English but no Italian is beyond ridiculous… We asked if the food would definitely be ready within 10 to 15 minutes, because we DEFINITELY had to be on the bus within 40 minutes (school trip). After half an hour, we had nothing, and we were very struck by how all the other people in the shop (including those who had just come in) got their food earlier. We went to ask twice, and were told that the food would arrive very soon; when we asked for takeaway, this wasn't understood at first either. Eventually, they argued with us, and we still had to pay the full price even though they had forgotten our order… I do want to mention that we eventually did get the food in a bag, albeit with one bread roll missing.

16/07/2025: Nice place with good shade. We were late for lunch. After cycling for some hours with nice climbs, we were hungry. Best cappuccino we had for a long time! Perfetto! Nice sandwiches and we closed the meal with delicious ice-cream.

We were honestly disappointed. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the smell of fried fish (odd, because they don't serve fish). The prices weren't up to par for the quality of the dishes. I honestly didn't expect the pasta with black truffle (and evidently neither did the staff) to taste like broccoli. The truffle was flavorless. The Angus steak with truffle and the Angus steak with caramelized onions both arrived cold, or lukewarm to be polite. The baked potatoes never arrived, and we didn't tell the cashier. The cashier removed them from the bill only after we urged him to, as if he were doing us a favor. "Come on, we'll take the potatoes off."
POSITIVE NOTES
Very kind waiters (the dishes took a little longer to arrive).
The large grilled meat was good, and above all, the only hot dish. The onions in the steak were delicious. It was a shame about everything else, and it was a shame that we weren't satisfied and that we got our money's worth for the dinner.
