20/12/2025: The best lard shop in Colonnata. Mario (the owner) and his wife are very friendly and welcoming. When I go to stock up on lard to take back to Rome, I always stop by for lunch with their wonderful mixed platters and hot sgabei (delicious). I recommend it 100%.

04/01/2026: Three women, three qualities... kindness, expertise, sweetness. We drove up to Colonnata in early January in our campervan, wanting to do two things: tour the marble quarries by bike and... meet these three. The ingredients for a pleasant experience were there, because the Apuan Alps are a beautiful site... and this place is equally special. Savoring local products while sitting on the terrace with a view of the mountains was beautiful, for the palate, the eyes, and the heart. Their infamous Crèpe with Lard and Cherry Tomatoes is special, as are their products, both savory and sweet, accompanied by excellent wines. We truly enjoyed our stay and recommend this delightful place to anyone passing through Colonnata. Thank you and goodbye.

07/06/2026: We went to dinner at this beautiful restaurant, drawn by the excellent reviews we found online. The atmosphere was beautiful and welcoming, with an open kitchen. The staff was cheerful, professional, and friendly. We even had the opportunity to chat with the chef, who came around to make sure everything was to our liking at the end of the meal. We chose the tasting menu, which included three entrees, two first courses, and one second course. It was all paired with a good bottle of local wine recommended by Gerente. Everything was truly excellent; we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our 5-year-old daughter was also with us; the kitchen had no problem whipping up a plate of pasta with pesto. Recommended restaurant!

02/05/2026: A few years ago, the food was better. I had the pasta with beans and it was good, but those who had the fried pasta and the mussels alla carrarina said they weren't up to par. The pizza was good. Nowadays, it's hard to find a table at restaurants if you call on Friday, but if you call on Saturday and find a table for 11, that's something.

30/04/2026: Pizzeria and restaurant in Bedizzano (MS), a beautiful location with a spectacular view of the Carrara marble quarries. Here you can enjoy excellent pizza (the pizza chef is a world champion) and delicious local dishes (the pasta dishes are made with homemade pasta). They offer various menus. The portions are generous. The staff is friendly and courteous. We ordered: an appetizer with warm focaccia and Colonnata lard, ravioli with meat sauce, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, tagliatelle with wild boar ragù, and a sliced ​​steak with porcini mushrooms and parmesan. The price is fair, considering the beautiful location and the excellent local products. I recommend it.
