Nice location, very kind staff, quite good food, but in my opinion the price is too high compared to the portion and the lack of imagination in the dishes.

Excellent seafood restaurant between the center and the port of Carrara. A family tradition in the restaurant business shines through in every aspect. A very elegant location, impeccable service, and a management team that makes you feel at home. The mixed seafood appetizers are excellent. The wine list is well-stocked. Prices are above average.

Excellent restaurant with very fresh fish and good food. Delicious and attentive service. Very refined atmosphere. Expect to pay €60-70 per person (and it's worth it).

The starters were sublime, the risotto was excellent but perhaps too heavy with celery which left a bit of an aftertaste... for the rest, it was top notch.

This time we were a little disappointed...the stuffed mussels were cold and full of garlic...and the marinara mussels were warm and rubbery! The waitress was super nice and kind! Not worth what we paid!

25/05/2026: We've eaten at this restaurant several times now, and it's always been excellent. Today, the waiter even prepared a special appetizer platter for us, featuring regional specialties. And all of this is very reasonably priced. All the staff and owners are incredibly friendly. The atmosphere is lovely, too. You can sit on the terrace right by the canal if you like. We'll definitely be eating there a few more times during this vacation.
15/05/2026: There were two of us at the restaurant, and we received a very polite welcome. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was impeccable. The portion was more than generous, so unfortunately, there wasn't any room left for dessert :D. We'll definitely have that next time! Thank you so much! :)

30/04/2026: Dining at Gilberto's is always a pleasure. You're greeted with a smile and kindness. Traditional Lombard dishes are prepared according to the seasons. A very extensive wine list. Truly fair prices. It's best to book well in advance.
