22/12/2025: I ordered a first course of spaghetti alla norma, which was very good and very filling. I also tried the strufoli, which were truly exceptional. I will definitely be back!

31/10/2025: This review is a bit difficult for me... I usually try to highlight the positives and point out the negatives through suggestions (completely personal, of course). Here, I'm a bit "confused." This pastry shop, located behind the MareMonti shopping center in Massa, has EXCELLENT products; there were four of us, and we ordered cappuccino, coffee, barley cappuccino, and macchiato. For dessert, we had two cream croissants (delicious but not as creamy), a puff pastry with rice pudding, and a slice of Sachertorte. Prices: very reasonable. The place is very spacious, with plenty of tables, including on the covered veranda at the entrance. Service and staff: here's the sore point... It seemed a bit confusing: the girl at the counter was serving me as I was choosing desserts and she left me with the two cream croissants to serve another woman (her friend from the way they spoke) who had just entered. Then, instead of going back to serving me, she continued to exchange a few words with her friend... Then for drinks, I was served by another girl, after waiting "a little" time. We were in no rush, so the wait wasn't a problem, but at that moment in the pastry shop, apart from the four of us, there were only two people already seated at a table and two guys who had entered after us. After waiting for "the friends" to finish their chat, we took our order and brought it to our table. Who knows, maybe that's how it is here in Lunigiana 🤔. Anyway, overall, I recommend trying this bar/pastry shop because what they offer is good.

06/03/2026: Always a guarantee, every time I've visited this restaurant, I'm captivated by the beauty of the place and the friendliness of the staff, starting with the wonderful hostess, who was always ready to satisfy our every request. Excellent food, accompanied by homemade focaccias made in a wonderful wood-fired oven and the freshest fish. Highly recommended.

31/12/2025: Unwelcoming and run-down place. They didn't bring us what we asked for and also treated us poorly. Dirty bathroom, no key. Pigeons roaming the tables. I absolutely do not recommend.

30/11/2025: A place in this condition should be closed, dirty, and with an embarrassingly shameful bathroom. Replacing the toilet seat will cost 20 euros. It's unthinkable to look at certain things and think they represent Italy and us Italians. Shame.

04/03/2026: I'm Sara and, knowing about the new management, I went to eat because I ran this Osteria before Chef Roberto Orlandi, to whom I truly congratulate him for his spectacular Risotto with Gorgonzola and Rotella apples (typical of the area) and a delicious (how thin and light the pastry was) potato and leek tart (a must of Pontremoli cuisine). He is a Master Chef 🧑‍🍳 to whom I wish triple the success I have had, who has also made aesthetic improvements to "our dear old BIETOLINA" and presents a menu of everything linked to the Lunigiana tradition. I am very happy with this passing of the baton and I will very willingly return to continue tasting his delicacies 😍.

01/03/2026: GREAT START TO THE FIRST DAY OF THE NEW MANAGEMENT!! We went for lunch today, the new management's first day of opening: the food was truly excellent. Friendly service. We were seated at a table with another couple, who we enjoyed chatting with—a good combination 😄. It was a great lunch, we'll definitely be back.

26/09/2025: So bad. Booked and paid but Hotel is closed completely. Nobody there, nobody reachable on the phone! But of course they tell another story.. So we got nothing for our money just blabla with lies. Be careful with online bookings on this hotel. Just book if you stay there and all the other hotrls are fully booked. I lost my money by these cheaters because of false statements

15/09/2025: The hotel is clean with comfortable bedding and secure parking. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. 👍 Located in the center of Marina, very convenient.

31/01/2026: Terrible service, pizzas arrived 1.5 hours after expected time.

06/01/2026: The focaccia with mozzarella and prosciutto was good, though a little overcooked. They do a lot of takeout, and the place isn't very welcoming.

16/10/2025: Surreal experience. We had reservations for four, and five of us showed up. An elderly waiter (who I assume was the manager) started yelling and gesticulating inappropriately, saying we couldn't stay. Note that the room was half empty. Let's be clear: it's a legitimate decision that I can understand, even though I've never seen a restaurant owner turn down a group because of one more person, but the manner and rudeness made the whole thing truly surreal. For a second, we hesitated whether to slap the manager or contact the health service for compulsory medical treatment.

12/10/2025: Booked for 4, 5 arrived, asked if it was a problem, they said we had to squeeze in, they said ok, went back to sit down, the owner sent us away with a very rude gesture in front of all the customers, unspeakable behavior, I will never go there again

12/08/2025: Every year during the summer I come here for breakfast, I didn't know about the change of management and unfortunately I have to say that we are not there at all, truly awful, never again.
