25/01/2026: My father and I were out for a walk and it was lunchtime. We looked up where to eat on Google Maps and found your restaurant. At first glance, we liked the outside, but once inside, we liked the inside even more. The food was very good, including the linguine alla trabaccolara, delicious, the fried food and the side dishes were delicious, and the desserts, let alone those, were delicious. We'll definitely be back very soon!

14/02/2026: Paid 2.10 for a coffee at the table while 1.50 at the counter, 60 cents for the service of which we waited more than 15 minutes for two coffees, without a glass of water, the tables inside are plastic... a disgrace.

07/02/2026: We tried this restaurant on the Viareggio promenade. Everything was very good. We had the excellent seafood carbonara. The fried fish was also quite good. Prices were average. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was very welcoming, even in winter it was warm enough, considering other restaurants are a bit chilly. Highly recommended.

29/12/2025: Impeccable organization. A very long line that moved very quickly. There were ten of us, and we ate quickly, delicious food, and the prices were absolutely reasonable. I recommend it to everyone because it's worth it!

15/10/2025: Husband sick after eating the octopus for lunch/ that’s all he ate. The rest of our family is ok but we had pasta and chicken. Very disappointed our day ended up like this. While service was fairly fast- it was not very friendly. Also, we rented a spot on the beach- no service there. *** Adding to comment after seeing the reply from the owner- my husband had two Aperol spritzes over an entire day span. Not sure how you are making them- but no- pretty sure that's not what we are talking about. I would say those reading understand what I am talking about. Thanks for proving my point.

06/10/2025: Had an amazing time with the girls here for lunch. The tuna starter was excellent & same for the seafood risotto I had for my main. The staff is so friendly and the vibe is very welcoming. Shoutout for the aperol spritz’s as well! Grazie mille 🥰

02/01/2026: The food is decent. A truly exceptional first course. But I wonder if it's possible to bring a €33 bottle of wine and dirty glasses? My elderly mother, however, was looked after very well.

25/08/2025: We stopped in Torre del Lago Puccini with our caravan and arrived at this place in the evening. We were warmly welcomed, and the playground was huge for a restaurant. Surrounded by greenery, it was truly beautiful. I had a delicious pizza, and the kids had a kids' menu. The price was super fair.

I go there about once a year and always enjoy the well-prepared dishes, whether it's the traditional fried fish or the chef's more unusual creations. The informal but always friendly waiters make guests feel at ease.

09/11/2025: We ate here the day before yesterday and we had a great time, the mixed fried fish was excellent, the service I would say was excellent, the lady who served us was very friendly and helpful, number 1 on the Viareggio seafront, I highly recommend it, I will definitely be back

26/12/2025: We came here for the pizza, which we'd heard was good, and I can confirm that. But I saw the tagliatelle with ragù and a Florentine steak pass by, and I think I'll have to go back! See you soon.

Questo posto rappresenta il perfetto equilibrio tra qualità, velocità e convenienza. ​Punti di Forza Assoluti: ​Velocità Imbattibile: Il servizio è velocissimo, rendendolo il posto ideale per una cena veloce o quando non si ha molto tempo a disposizione. ​Menu: La gamma di panini è immensa, offrendo un'infinità di combinazioni. Il fatto che siano anche personalizzabili è un grandissimo valore aggiunto. ​Qualità Superiore: Non è il solito panino. Il pane è sempre croccante, scaldato alla piastra al punto giusto, e le farciture sono indiscutibilmente di ottima qualità. ​Rapporto Qualità-Prezzo: Se non si vuole optare per il ristorante, Nonna Ede è l'ottimo compromesso. I prezzi sono onestissimi e giustificano pienamente la bontà del prodotto. Bottom line: If you're looking for a tasty meal, carefully prepared and delivered in record time, look no further. Nonna Ede is the perfect choice in Viareggio.

26/12/2025: Update December 2025: We celebrated Christmas here with our family. Service was excellent, and the food was excellent. Three seafood appetizers (see photo) cost €60 (paccheri with cherry tomatoes, scampi, clams, and lupini beans), mixed fried fish with anchovies and fried vegetables, and panettone with cream, water, wine, and coffee. It was sold out. Update 2025: Everything is always great at La Casina! --- We're regulars at this restaurant, and I can say it's an extremely good restaurant, especially for the price. The dishes are good and plentiful, and there's no cover charge. I recommend the tagliolini with lobster, the seafood sauté, and the cacciucco (fish stew). Located in the Viareggio pine forest, 200 meters from the sea, it offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with air conditioning. During high season, it's better to reach it by bike than by car due to the lack of parking in the area (free parking nearby from 1-3 PM and after 8 PM). They often offer a free after-dinner drink at the end of the meal. - August 2023. This year too, we've been to the local restaurant a couple of times, always top-notch. The seafood is good and plentiful, and there's a fixed-price menu available (4 appetizers, 2 first courses, fried food, and water, plus wine). The staff is friendly and helpful, and there's a wide variety of "ammazza caffè" (afternoon tea) for those like me who don't get the usual "amaro del Capo" (a bitter liqueur). Don't be put off by anyone who complains about slow service. The staff is always busy, but when there's a lot of people, you might have to wait, but that means you'll eat well!

26/12/2025: Christmas lunch set menu. Everything was excellent, from appetizer to dessert. The staff were knowledgeable and extremely friendly, the service was prompt, and the place was spotless. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back.
