29/03/2026: A bit out of the way, but well worth the trip, ideally on foot. Small restaurant with a few tables, including some outside. Friendly welcome and quick service even when it's busy. Great fish dishes. Nice wine list. Desserts are highly recommended.

07/04/2026: You're catapulted into an environment that's a mix between a ship and the Mad Hatter's house: inside the Viareggio pine forest, on Easter Monday we found a place in this restaurant that certainly doesn't go unnoticed for its colors, furnishings, and ambiance. We were welcomed by Mr. Amelio, an old-fashioned owner, who told us about his unique and exceptional cuisine. He uses only the catch of the day, and that makes all the difference. Excellent quality, and the owner is a joy to listen to. There are few places like this these days. We'll be back!!!!

It's always a pleasure to encounter the extreme kindness of Amelio and his staff, combined with a never-ending professionalism. Here, the care for the raw materials is almost a mission: you eat authentic, local fish, cooked with a rare respect for the true flavor of the sea. It's certainly not a cheap place, but the excellent quality of the products and the originality of the dishes more than justify the expense. 05/02/2026: The highest quality! A truly historic restaurant in Viareggio: even by the sea, it's hard to find such fresh and well-cooked fish. The menu is varied; I've been several times and appreciate how short it is, but with just a few truly good dishes. Always friendly and genuine! The dishes are generous, not gourmet, and next time I'll take some photos. Highly recommended!

12/02/2026: Chef Landi and the sommelier delighted me with a superb tasting menu and an equally excellent wine pairing. I chose the "Apuane and Reclamation" menu, a crescendo of flavors. The linguine was the dish that impressed me the most. The only flaw was the marrow that concluded the savory menu. Despite being delicious and masterfully paired, the quantity was truly minimal; I ended up with a "poor" piece. The wait staff and service were top-notch!

28/02/2026: Same comment as "der weinrat" about the pretty disgusting antipasto (crostini da Checco) which was probably nice 10 years ago and nowadays a greasy affair produced one a month and kept in the fridge... No idea, how this place manages to stay mentioned in the Michelin Guide. Their reviewers probably have not visited for the last 5 or 10 years...

25/01/2026: Here's a place that belongs to our memory, a tradition that's been around for about 50 years, that's how many years we've been frequenting this restaurant: its warmth, not only from the blazing fireplace, but the entire environment, creates a homely, welcoming atmosphere. Francesco and his brother have always welcomed us with their genuine hospitality, from when we used to go with my grandparents, and then gradually, up until today, despite the absences that time inexorably inflicts on us, we have maintained the tradition, today to celebrate Gianluigi's birthday. The food never disappoints, excellent, those ravioli that Federico has enjoyed since he was a child, and which today he called the best he's ever eaten in his entire life, the pappardelle with wild boar, the paccheri with mallard, the wild boar, and those crostini whose recipe I'd love to learn. We will continue to honor the tradition, always finding an opportunity to return to this place that feels like home. Don't touch the furniture, don't touch anything. Everything must stay where it is. Its magnificent fireplace is a symbol, an unchanged presence that warms our hearts.

12/03/2026: If you want to eat really good and fresh fish, Giorgio is certainly one of the best restaurants in Viareggio, the raw fish is also excellent.

13/01/2026: The two of us went for lunch on Sunday. We had two maltagliati with scampi and two pan-fried Pino pasta dishes. I have to say, both were delicious. The price isn't cheap, but it reflects the quality and deliciousness of the food. I'll definitely be back.

16/02/2026: Everything was great, especially the fish gnocchi, which were truly delicious! A great way to let the kids roam around outside and enjoy a bite to eat in the pine forest under the first rays of spring sunshine. Excellent value. The only downside: the dishes weren't served at the same time, so we had to wait a bit for the other dishes (though it was very crowded and it was the Viareggio Carnival), and even to pay. We'll definitely be back if we ever get back!

08/04/2026: Without further ado, these sandwiches are excellent value for money, even though the prices have increased by a euro or two since last year's photos. The "chef," who I assume is also the owner, knows his job and gives good advice on the compositions. He's kind to kids. Perhaps a bit too much salt—imho—but you can ask for less.
