Highly recommended, guys! If you want something quick but not ordinary and above all quality, this is the place! If I ever return to Viareggio, I'll definitely be back! The manager is brilliant at putting together the focaccias and the ingredients... you can tell there's someone who knows what they're doing...🫶🏻

I wanted to eat something special on the last night of my holiday in Viareggio, and I was inspired by the reviews. I ordered the "Ottavo vizio" and I have to say, it's spectacular. Tasty, rich, a well-balanced mix of flavors. Highly recommended!

I ordered a takeout sandwich, which was delicious. The menu was incredibly interesting and the ingredients were excellent. They also offer focaccia and express pizzas, which look delicious. My only suggestion is to heat up the focaccia or make it crispier, and perhaps lower the prices a bit. Everything else was great, including the staff.

SUPER focaccia filled with top-quality ingredients. Don't be fooled by the higher prices; the quality and quantity of ingredients are what sets this place apart. Don't stop by Marco's if you're looking for a cheap meal; stop by if you want something delicious!

Unlike Mr. Daniele Meucci, who gave "L'ottavo vizio" only one star, I'm giving it five stars. What kind of atmosphere do you expect from a street food place?!?!? The focaccias are excellent, filled with excellent ingredients and in good quantities. They offer tables on a glass-fronted veranda with no cover charge. My husband and I had a great experience! We'll be back to try the fried fish! The owner is friendly and welcoming.

18/10/2025: It was so busy we had to sit upstairs; tried the soup which was delicious - will be back for breakfast tomorrow as the pastries, fruit (figs, apricots, dates etc) looked so inviting - yum
07/10/2025: I've tried it several times for lunch and it's always been a pleasant experience, a simple choice for an unusual lunch. I've tried the spaghetti with clams several times and it's always excellent. The restaurant's strong point is definitely the extensive wine list at very reasonable prices. The service is friendly and attentive.

18/05/2026: A day trip with family and friends, a group of six. Upon entering, it feels like an old tavern (the lady will tell us it was a dance hall many, many years ago). Spartan but very authentic. Mixed antipasto: cured meats, cheeses, fried polenta, fried gnocco, then self-service platter with salami and caciotta. The first courses begin: spectacular mushroom rice, homemade ravioli in four flavors (pumpkin, spinach, gorgonzola and walnuts, potato and rosemary), truly delicious. The portions were generous, we were already full and we are good eaters. The 86-year-old lady comes by to collect our plates after each course and chat. The waiter asks us if we want two cappelletti, but we can't fit any more, then he tempts us with the second courses, and we each accept a piece of pork cheek... that becomes three, it melts in the mouth, truly special. By now resigned to exploding and passing away with a smile, he offers us zuppa inglese and plum tart for dessert. We accept, and he brings us a whole zuppa inglese with a spatula and half a pan of tart. We finish with an excellent coffee. We drank water and Lambrusco. €40 for adults, €20 for children—they deserved more. They made us feel at home and spoiled, like at a Sunday lunch where two grandmothers team up. Thank you, we'll be back.
