11/01/2024: Dream birthday! My friends and I were welcomed by a very kind waiter who served us with a bottle of sparkling wine before being accompanied to the table. The location and above all the view of the town is spectacular. Given the event, I had requested a fixed menu with various courses, which, thanks to the availability of the owner, was adapted to my needs perfectly. Courses that later proved to live up to the name of the restaurant. Definitely a place suitable for any type of event where I hope to return soon.

19/01/2024: Best pizza in Cortona & on our trip! Came here for dinner and drinks, and were extremely impressed! We ordered two pizzas and a bottle of wine- the food was fantastic, well priced and in a cosy atmosphere in the centre of Cortona. Would highly recommend! Total cost was around $35 Euro

14/01/2024: Mitten im Stadtzentrum von Cortona befindet sich in einer kleinen Seitenstaße die Pizzeria mit ein paar Außen- und einigen Innenplätzen. Die Pizza war ausgesprochen gut.

01/10/2023: We ate outside, although the inside was lovely (but so was the weather!). The waiter was friendly and courteous. Service was prompt, and all our dishes were fresh and delicious.

13/03/2024: Un ristorante intimo e raffinato, in pieno centro storico, in una location splendida, dove ho festeggiato il mio compleanno in compagnia di carissimi amici. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo, piatti tipici della tradizione Toscana, il tutto accompagnato dalla gentilezza e simpatia della Signora Paola. Fermarsi a mangiare qui è una dolce coccola che consiglio a chi decide di visitare la splendida Cortona!

03/04/2024: We had a wonderful stay at Corte Dei Papi. The staff upgraded our room free of charge when we arrived and were always available and helpful whenever we needed anything. The owner served us during dinner and informed us about their top notch wines that they produce themselves. The food and wine were delicious and fairly priced in their cozy and atmospheric restaurant. I cannot recommend this place enough if you’re planning a trip to Tuscany!

06/10/2023: Great little family-run pizzeria with very friendly service. Pizzas were excellent and so was the caprese salad. If you’re staying near Cortona it’s worth a visit.

01/11/2023: More than positive experience. I was looking for a place to taste Chianina meat, and here I found the highest quality, an exclusive, welcoming and characteristic environment. Super friendly and helpful staff. I ate the best Chianina steak I can remember, perfectly cooked on a large wood-burning brazier, the unique flavor of locally produced meat. The mushroom and potato side dishes, as well as the excellent house red wine, further enhanced the typical taste of the local tradition. If I returned to the area, I would certainly repeat the experience, perhaps combining other typical local dishes not tasted on this occasion. Absolutely highly recommended.

22/10/2023: Arrived at 12.30 with a 4 year old girl and ate 13.50 which was shameful we had to cancel the meat because otherwise it would still be there at 8pm... zero organization in the kitchen... I won't go back again

01/04/2024: Quick and friendly service. Delicious cured meats, I had an aperitif with croutons which however were heated in the microwave and a little indigestible. Good, of course, but a little expensive.

06/05/2024: We ordered a colorful variety and unfortunately I can't recommend it. The mozzarella was sour and couldn't be eaten. The staff wasn't interested in this. Service was poor because the waiter stood right next to him and didn't give time to make a decision after repeated requests. Not a nice, cozy atmosphere as it felt more like a process of processing guests.

01/05/2024: Great service … was very friendly , let us taste several wines to suit to our taste. The place felt really warm and welcoming on a rainy day in Cortona … pay a visit . Highly recommended

05/01/2024: Celebrating the start of the new year at Scara and Beo is the right way to start 2024. The dinner was completely vegan: delicious, abundant and each dish was paired with a particular wine. It was a dinner enjoyed by everyone, even omnivores ;-). We will definitely return to your restaurant (which is open to all customers, vegan and otherwise) and thank you again for your kindness and welcome. We'll see you again soon!

05/01/2024: I can’t imagine a better first night dinner in Cortona. Every course was delicious, and the staff was so delightful. In particular, I appreciated getting a call when we first made the reservation to ask about dietary preferences / allergies. Just made us feel really confident that we were going to be happy. And we so were! We enjoyed every aspect of our meal. Thank you… and we will be back! :)

17/10/2023: Everything excellent; very kind; decidedly original proposals; the chef is very young but up to the task. In my opinion the sequences of the dishes need to be reviewed; only small note, hopefully constructive. We will be back for sure; super pet friendly, Ariel our Podenco thanks
