03/08/2025: I had spaghetti with clams... they were very hard. The glasses were damaged and needed replacing. Nice atmosphere with a terrace overlooking the harbor. The price was high for the quality. I wouldn't go back.

01/08/2025: Mediocre quality. The location is definitely nice and welcoming. The price/quality ratio...not there.

06/06/2025: A simple place in the setting but with a nice and enough choice of dishes between meat and fish. Special sandwiches by Matteo and the seafood first courses. Definitely worth returning to

07/07/2025: I enter this restaurant, unusually empty for lunch time. I am greeted by a kind and polite waitress. I order a plate of tagliatelle with fresh mushrooms: unfortunately, the tagliatelle are completely tasteless and the mushrooms have a decidedly unusual acidic flavor. I point out the problem and politely ask for someone to taste the dish. The waitress refuses to do so in front of me, only to then return saying that "the chef likes it that way". At that point I feel genuinely mocked, I give up the meal and get up to leave. It is then that the chef, a person in shabby clothes and with an appearance that is anything but professional, verbally attacks me, addressing me with gratuitous insults, all in front of a child. An unspeakable and unacceptable behavior, which far exceeds a simple culinary disappointment. I can only strongly advise against this place: for the quality of the food, but even more so for the disrespectful and unprofessional attitude.

01/08/2025: De bediening was nogal onpersoonlijk. Het moest allemaal heel snel gaan. Gezellig tafelen was bijna niet mogelijk: we hadden nog maar 1 slokje van onze wijn genomen en het gerecht werd al geserveerd. We hebben dan de rest van de fles leeggedronken met niets meer erbij. Ze kwamen wel meteen vragen of we dessert willen. Maar wij wilden gewoon even rustig praten en gezellig tafelen. Daar hielden ze weinig rekening mee en dat is heel jammer. Het lijkt alsof je snel weer weg moet omdat ze de tafel nogmaals willen vullen met nieuwe klanten. Wij hadden in elk geval dat gevoel. Los daarvan wil ik wel benadrukken dat het eten zeer lekker was. Maar voor gezelligheid en sfeer moet je daar niet zijn.

19/08/2025: After reading all the negative reviews, I decided to come here. I wanted to see for myself. I think these reviews are written by people expecting Michelin-star service and gold-plated lobster for €20. I really enjoyed the pasta, and the calamari was simply amazing! Soft, delicately flavored, and without that burnt oil smell, as they wrote here. I also liked the coffee, which is rare for me. Yes, the waiters won't bow or smile at you as if you were the most important person in their life, but they do their job. For this price, I had a good and satisfying meal; the portions are decent, the dishes are clean, and even the bathroom is clean. In any case, before you believe the reviews, you have to try it for yourself. Personally, I will definitely be back.

13/08/2025: Awful experience. Attracted by the flyer (see attached file). We booked a linguine and fried food menu. We had clearly specified this when booking. We took 6 menus and for the main course we received short pasta with a fish broth flavor without any trace of seafood... the unpleasant waitress claimed to have told us this, but it's not true... besides, she didn't listen to a word I said, she just wanted to be quick. The pasta was hard and frankly we didn't like it. Well, we thought the fried food would be better... it's okay but a mountain of fries hidden underneath... basically lots of fries and not much fried food, no shrimp. There was still some fried food left over and we decided to take the leftovers away... we were asked 2 euros for a plastic container because it became takeaway... mind-blowing... this place is a real scandal. Of course, the receipt was without any details and the calculation was incomprehensible. Avoid

The pizza is delicious, fragrant, and up to par with the local average, but the real secret is the atmosphere they create. Always with a smile, the two welcome each customer like an old friend. Between a joke and advice about the town, you'll immediately feel at home. The variety of flavors caters to everyone, from classics to the most imaginative. The place is simple yet elegant, with a direct view of the harbor. Perfect for a quick snack or an evening break. Fair prices and generous portions. A pizzeria you'll return to, more for the kindness than the dough—and that's saying something.

03/08/2025: Siamo stati martedì sera con gli amici, abbiamo preso un piatto di sushi per 4 uno spettacolo , molto originale. Poi abbiamo preso due pizze senza glutine per me uno dei migliori di Firenze sembra un quadro bellissimo. Poi una bavetta scoglio anche quello buono, abbiamo speso tra qualità e prezzo un prezzo giusto per quello che abbiamo mangiato. Torneremo sicuramente presto. Ambiente bellissimo

27/07/2025: Sono andata in questa pizzeria con amici perché consigliata da altri ristoratori di Firenze. Già dall'accoglienza si sono dimostrati gentili e molto professionali. Dire che la pizza era super eccellente é dire poco. Con noi, c'era una persona allergica al glutine, lattosio e pepe. Hanno un'impastatrice una persona ed un forno dedicato proprio per offrire un servizio sempre più inclusivo. La pizza senza glutine era leggera e gli ingredienti utilizzati sicuramente ricercati. Non semplice trovare una pizzeria che non ti dia una base precongelata e farcita al momento. La pizza senza glutine viene impastata tutti i giorni e si percepisce dall'idratazione che possiede. Davvero bravi, ritorneremo sicuramente.

06/08/2025: At ikke denne restauranten har fått bedre anmeldelser får meg til å lure. Vi måtte dog vente en stund på maten de gangene vi var der, men når den kom så smakte det utsøkt. Vi bestilte både sjømat, biff og pizza i løpet av oppholdet vårt, og vi skal definitivt bestille det igjen! Sjømaten og pizzaen var helt nydelig. Den ene dagen var det også underholdning av en gammeldags klovn på Toreg rett ved siden av - det ga et ekstra kult preg til besøket! Veldig stemningssettenye underholdning og flott show

04/08/2025: Se cercate un ristorante con una vista da cartolina che vi faccia dimenticare di mangiare bene, La Scesa è il vostro posto ideale. L’oste ci accoglie con quell’aria da “so tutto io” e, quando chiediamo di sederci comodi a un tavolo da otto (eravamo in quattro, mica un esercito), ci piazza vicino a una pianta super appuntita. Per chi ama il brivido del “pungiglione a sorpresa” mentre mastica, è un’esperienza unica. Ordiniamo pappardelle al cinghiale e paccheri, ma sorpresa! Finite entrambe le paste. Ci viene data come alternativa una pasta diversa, tipo spaghetti al posto delle pappardelle, che diciamolo, non è proprio la stessa esperienza. Nessuna comunicazione preventiva, nessuna proposta decente: quando faccio notare con ironia, il cameriere risponde sminuendo la situazione. Momento cult della serata: il cameriere porta il mio piatto e, invece di dire “pappardelle al cinghiale”, annuncia “tipo terra”. Buttando l’occhio ho capito che fosse per me. Nome creativo, ma poco invitante. Faccio il primo boccone e se il cinghiale fosse un supereroe, qui è una povera comparsa nascosta che non sa di niente e fa solo da contorno alla cornice e sapeva di carne macinata generica, forse l’avevano scambiata per polpettine da mensa. Gli altri puntano su una frittura di calamari… in quantità ridotta, accompagnata da lime. Sì, lime. Quel frutto che dovrebbe esaltare i sapori, ma qui ha fatto il lavoro opposto: ha coperto tutto, come una diva che ruba la scena. Sul fronte servizio, lavorando anche io nella ristorazione faccio un applauso alle scelte: portare i bicchieri senza vassoi e, peggio ancora, appoggiare il vassoio sul tavolo. Per i non addetti, è un po’ come portare un piatto di spaghetti e buttarli sul pavimento con stile. Morale? Se volete una vista da urlo e siete pronti a digiunare o a mangiare roba da fast food mascherata da gourmet, La Scesa fa per voi. Se invece cercate cibo che meriti il viaggio, cercate altrove.
