25/12/2025: Excellent food, excellent quality, generous portions which is not at all a given given the Christmas period, average prices, top kindness and welcome!

21/12/2025: The food is decent, but definitely doesn't justify the high price. The cannoli at the end of the meal are questionable. The experience would be particularly forgettable, if not for the price, which is worthy of a quality restaurant, and is completely unjustified.

28/04/2026: A go-to place for house parties or when we don't feel like cooking. Yesterday, relatives from the US came and without hesitation we ordered: bread, panelle and croquettes, sfincione, rosticceria mignon, and caponata. We all had a terrible time. What left me shocked was the owner's response, one of those responses that make you think it's your fault, with an arrogance and arrogance I wasn't expecting... shame.

30/03/2026: Visits are by reservation only. After a steep climb, you'll admire a splendid view of Palermo, accompanied by a description and history of the city's main monuments visible from the tower. It's a wonderful experience, although you have to take into account the steps involved, but it was worth it.

09/05/2026: First time for Sunday lunch with a set menu. The food was nothing special, and unfortunately, both of the two entrees served were undercooked. The service, like the interior, was a bit shabby. I didn't like it.

03/05/2026: We had pork shank and lamb chops for dinner. Don't forget to try the sfincione, truly superb. But the secret ingredient is the warm welcome from Giorgio and the entire staff. Giorgio also let us park our camper for free. Don't leave without buying his homemade products: ricotta, sausage, and meat. Thank you, Giorgio, for your pleasant hospitality. We'll be happy to visit you again. Thank you for everything.

06/05/2026: Trattoria L’Ancora is a fantastic place in Sferracavallo for anyone who loves authentic Sicilian food! The atmosphere is warm, simple, and welcoming, giving you that true traditional trattoria feeling. The seafood is incredibly fresh and full of flavor, clearly prepared with great care and respect for local recipes. Every dish we tried was delicious and satisfying, with generous portions and excellent quality. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. Service is efficient and always with a smile. If you’re near Palermo, this is definitely a spot worth visiting. Highly recommended for a genuine local dining experience!

28/04/2026: A terrible experience, not to be repeated. We had a reservation for 12:30, but between traffic and a total lack of parking, it took us almost an hour to get to our table. There were four of us, including one blind person. Despite this, one of the owners immediately became rude and pushy, even telling us that if we didn't meet the deadline, we'd be kicked out. Zero empathy, zero professionalism. Once seated, lunch was a rush. Courses were thrown together, one after the other, making no sense. The highlight? Main course, desserts and sorbet served together. I've never seen anything like it. Mediocre food. First courses were bland, cooked incorrectly, and generally lacking attention to detail. The organizational aspect was also extremely serious: with a blind person, they made us go up to the top floor, accessible via an unsafe spiral staircase. An absurd and irresponsible decision. To complete the picture, even the cleanliness leaves much to be desired (dusty windowsill despite the sea view). Paying €40 for such treatment is unacceptable. We left feeling disappointed and feeling like we were treated like a nuisance, not like customers.

13/05/2026: I spent one night with a group of my own. They gave me a room outside, a little further down the street in a wonderful apartment with frescoed ceilings. We had a buffet dinner upstairs on the terrace, and everything was delicious.

06/01/2026: Hotels that feels old! Impossible to sleep as they have resturant above and after it's closed they keep on moving tables abd chairs as if they do it on purpose to disturb guests who sleep underneath! Same noise start again around 06.30 as the sane place get ready to serve breakfast. rude night reception unhelpful he felt disturbed as I called for blanket as the Ac was broken!

The owner is incredibly kind and takes the time to guide you through the diverse wine options, ensuring you make the perfect choice for your purchase. Update: This place remains just as great as ever. The service is still amazing, and in addition to the outstanding wine list, they serve fantastic Caspian black caviar — perfectly paired with simple snacks, pastries, or whatever you prefer. The champagne selection is still excellent, with great choices for every taste. The owner continues to be incredibly kind and attentive, always happy to guide you and help you choose the perfect wine for the moment. A truly special enoteca worth returning to again and again.

18/05/2026: Very unpleasant people, brought the starters after the main dish and brought the main dish after a 30 minute wait absolutely disastrous

10/05/2026: Terrible service, from the inexperienced waitress to the "sly" owner with her trap menu! Gin on the €10 menu, but obviously you drink it with tonic, and she makes you pay €2 for tonic on the side. Just like when we asked for a sandwich with prosciutto, mozzarella, tomato, and salad, they forgot the mozzarella. We told them, but after a while, instead of bringing us the missing ingredient—the mozzarella—she came back to see for herself if the mozzarella was really missing, and made us open the sandwich to check if the mozzarella was really missing!
