30/11/2025: Today I visited Monreale with my family. It was beautiful. I called a local friend and asked where I could go for a traditional meal, and he suggested Al Matteotti Bistrot. I must say that Enzo and Domenico, the owners, welcomed me right away, making me feel right at home. Reading the menu, I was spoiled for choice, so I left it to myself. They served me some truly excellent appetizers and main courses, typical of the area and truly interesting in flavor. But beyond that, there's so much more to choose from, from sandwiches to salads, etc. When I return to Monreale, it will be my regular stop. I recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy excellent cuisine at a very affordable price. You'll find it just a few meters from the Piazza del Duomo.

26/09/2025: We discovered this place by chance, after asking for a recommendation from someone we stopped on the street. We thought we'd just stop for a sandwich, but the discovery of a welcoming interior made us want to have a more substantial break. What can we say, it couldn't have been better! The owners were extremely friendly and attentive and made us feel welcome right away. Excellent ingredients, delicious fresh pasta, and so was the bread. The atmosphere was welcoming, fresh, and spotlessly clean. Thanks for a relaxing lunch break. Highly recommended.

This is because I have to say this place inspires serenity, the waiters and chefs are exceptional, and I ate wonderfully (and wonderfully is an understatement) on a special day like Easter. I highly recommend this exceptional place, where your taste buds will literally "enjoy" it, because the pleasure is truly extraordinary.

05/10/2025: The atmosphere was a bit cold, but this was fully compensated for by the friendly service and excellent food! We had first-class pizzas and a fantastic grilled fish platter.

09/06/2026: We stopped at Villaermosa Cafè Bistrot for a quick breakfast, honestly with low expectations. Instead, the owner, who personally served us at the outdoor tables, was extremely nice, welcoming, and very kind. We ordered a coffee, a cappuccino, and a croissant, and (luckily) he recommended the iris instead. Without fear of being contradicted, it was hands down the best dessert I've tasted in Palermo, even better than the more famous cannoli. It was a real pleasure. Thanks again for your hospitality!

30/05/2026: We stayed in Palermo for about a week and we had breakfast here every single day. The food is delicious, mostly the sandwiches. A coffee was lovely too.

03/04/2026: It was ok, but everyone had recommened this place so I had quite high expectations. The service was quite slow, the cocktails average and the waiters were smoking by the door with the door open so the smoke came all in our faces and we had to move to another table because we couldn't stop coughing and sneezing. They noticed but didn't seem to care. Still not a bad place, just not my jam.

29/03/2026: Excellent vegan aperitivo, finally something different from the usual: original, tasty, and anything but ordinary dishes. The portions are generous, and you'll leave feeling full. Price between €18 and €20, including a drink. Recommended!
