31/12/2025: Delicious homemade food, real taste, heartwarming owners. The best!

30/11/2025: Today I visited Monreale with my family. It was beautiful. I called a local friend and asked where I could go for a traditional meal, and he suggested Al Matteotti Bistrot. I must say that Enzo and Domenico, the owners, welcomed me right away, making me feel right at home. Reading the menu, I was spoiled for choice, so I left it to myself. They served me some truly excellent appetizers and main courses, typical of the area and truly interesting in flavor. But beyond that, there's so much more to choose from, from sandwiches to salads, etc. When I return to Monreale, it will be my regular stop. I recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy excellent cuisine at a very affordable price. You'll find it just a few meters from the Piazza del Duomo.

07/01/2026: We took advantage of the €18 aperitivo deal (instead of €25). The wine selection was good, but when I asked to taste one before choosing, I was only offered a vague description of the wine. The aperitivo needs reconsidering: the selection is very appealing, but the appetizers are very small, and some weren't to my liking (hard meatballs, very greasy tempura, bland tartare; the pork shank sample, however, was good). The staff was friendly, but the service was a bit slow.

29/12/2025: Food: 1 star (aperitif dinner failed). I recommend offering simpler, more flavorful options instead of the venison meatball and other questionable-tasting items, and the Tutti Fritti dish, which also failed, too greasy for such a nice place. Ambience: 5 stars. The place is really nice and intimate. I really hope they change the menu, improving and simplifying it.

01/09/2025: We had lunch at 2:00 PM on Monday. A first and second course, typical local food, good and affordable. Friendly service. Recommended.

27/12/2025: 24 people for a birthday party, a menu with a mixed platter, a hot appetizer, and a pizza tour. The negative rating is entirely due to the terrible and shoddy service, especially from the male waiter who appears to be the head waiter. I kept asking about specific pizzas and was told he would bring two at a time (I'm not sure on what basis, since the pizzas that arrived didn't even cover one person). We asked for sparkling wine three times before it was delivered to the table, and I should point out that the dining room wasn't even full. A real shame because the food is quite good, but he was lazy and lacking in professionalism.

01/01/2026: I ate at this restaurant with some friends and the experience was truly disappointing. The service was terrible: the waiters were rude, inattentive, and unprofessional. We had to wait a long time to order and were ignored several times, even though the place wasn't particularly crowded. This kind of attitude completely ruins the evening, regardless of the food. I won't be returning and I don't recommend it.

29/12/2025: Excellent pizza, as are the hot appetizers. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the rustic-style location is very welcoming. The only drawback is the parking; for that, I highly recommend getting down early. I also recommend making a reservation, as it's always crowded. Otherwise, everything else was great!

07/01/2026: We were at a New Years Eve dinner. Appetiters were excellent, risotto also, but the main course with meat was a disappointment for me. The Staff was great.

05/01/2026: We found this place through The Fork. We were there in January, so we definitely missed the sea view. Unfortunately, to get there, you have to walk through a dimly lit and isolated area. We were the first ones to enter, and the music was very loud. When we pointed this out, the waitress turned it down a bit, but I have to admit it was so loud that we struggled to converse. Perhaps not a good choice for a couples dinner. The food was good, with quality ingredients and generous portions. The service was friendly.

11/09/2025: A unique and unrepeatable place. It's a journey back in time to the pool tables of yesteryear. It was the location for a scene from the first or second Diabolik movie! You can even watch Bologna matches there, with a great screen and friendly company. Seeing is believing.
