09/11/2025: I stopped in for a quick croissant and coffee. I must say the atmosphere was pleasant, with a cozy indoor area for a quiet chat and excellent coffee products, along with a deli. Good coffee and friendly staff. I recommend it.

06/11/2025: A historic and traditional Palermo pizzeria, open since 1982, run by Ron Garofalo, a histrionic figure in the industry, who has never changed his Neapolitan-Sicilian pizza. Spacious, sparsely furnished rooms, including outdoor seating for the summer season. One of the few pizzerias that has maintained moderate prices while maintaining good quality ingredients, including a dedicated section for celiacs. An evening of neither praise nor infamy, a table for 20, various pizzas, all traditional and simple, with buffalo mozzarella, a hot appetizer per person, water, Moretti beer, and a can of Coca-Cola. Friendly, helpful service, represented by a very sweet young woman. A few glitches ruined the whole experience. The meager supply of buffalo mozzarella, which ran out quickly, two pizzas with dough textures the guests didn't like, even though they specified it when ordering, which were obviously sent back and remade, and the most serious problem was the "fortuitous omission" of the 30% The Fork discount. Everything was resolved, with the owner's kind forethought, and a personalised bill of 15 euros.

13/05/2025: Après avoir parcouru la via maqueda et ses nombreux restaurants touristiques, nous avons trouvé un peu à l'écart ce petit restaurant. Super accueil du serveur, qui s'est démené pour nous satisfaire. Les plats sont copieux et délicieux. Mention spéciale pour le " apple caponata " : une tuerie !

06/11/2025: We visited Bar Hollywood twice for our morning cappuccino and it quickly became a favorite. This is a truly local coffee shop, and we loved being the only tourists there—it made the experience feel genuinely Sicilian! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming. The staff was extremely friendly, and despite the place being busy with local customers, they were very patient and helpful with us. They offer a huge variety of fresh pastry choices, perfect for a quick, delicious Italian breakfast. The value here is incredible: for example, the large Krapen (bombolone/doughnut) was fantastic and only one euro! The cappuccino was excellent as well. If you are staying nearby and want to skip the tourist traps for an authentic, high-quality, and very affordable start to your day, look no further than Bar Hollywood. Highly recommended for a real taste of local life.

23/09/2025: A. Nice pit stop before leaving beautiful Sicily. All the products are top-notch...the gelato is fantastic, as are the cannoli and cassata...all the desserts look delicious.

14/11/2025: The pizzas are good, with good dough. The service, however, leaves much to be desired, especially the waiters' manners, which show no attention to the customers. Prices are above average.

14/11/2025: You can do more, especially if you ask for advice and don't just choose from the menu. The Mazzara prawns had been in the fridge for a few days, as the crustacean's shell was wrinkled and dull.

The small portion of fried squid without any sides cost €20, and the small fish of the day with a meager salad for €32, both served cold, were disappointing. The sparkling wine was delicious for €28. Bread and oil were included beforehand. Bottled water was inexpensive. The service charge of €3 per person was acceptable. I cannot recommend the food; perhaps the pizzas are warm and tasty. It was simply too expensive for what you got, and the portions were too small – the fish was served cold. The service was good, and the ambiance was pleasantly Sicilian. The pizza a few streets away was better.

18/10/2025: I came here particularly encouraged by the photos in the guest reviews. I signaled that I wanted such a generous portion of seafood. I got it for €20, a tiny portion. Everyone knows calamari is ridiculously cheap. The flavor was decent, the pizza was good. The atmosphere was inadequate, forcedly bourgeois... I'll leave other things aside...

13/05/2025: Delicious pizza, friendly staff, good welcome. Clean place. But unfortunately, since it was my first time, I didn't know they also did home delivery. Table booked at 8:30 pm, arrived on time on Saturday evening, I ate the pizza at 10:00 pm even though it wasn't very crowded, in fact, maybe because of the match. But honestly the only critical point was the long wait, on an evening when the place wasn't very full. First of all, customers who pay for the cover charge should have priority over those who deliver.

26/08/2025: Very quiet location, and it was also the only restaurant open until 1 p.m., which was very convenient for us as we were passing through. The lady was very friendly, and the food was also excellent. The fries are especially recommended, as is the pasta with fresh pesto. The only drawback was that the glasses and cutlery were a bit dirty, but that's something we could overlook. The price was also completely reasonable. I can recommend it.
