01/07/2026: We had a super delicious meal. The owner is super friendly and loves to chat in his broken English. They mainly use local products. For example, the owner uses wheat from his own land for the pizzas, but also for his homemade beer, which is really incredibly tasty (we even took a few home with us :))! All in all, highly recommended; we enjoyed it!

02/10/2025: A very beautiful place on the sea, with ample and convenient parking with access from the main road. The food and wines are quality, though the desserts, I'd say, are less so. We returned after three days.

24/09/2025: A charming place to visit, especially in summer to enjoy the view. The first courses, the desserts, are good, but the selection is limited, and the semifreddo and almond parfait are very icy. The selection of bitters is very limited (only two).

11/04/2026: On the recommendation of a friend, I ordered pizza delivery. First and foremost: delivery was on time, actually a few minutes early, excellent quality pizza, and prices were average for the city. If this is the case next time, then I've found my favorite pizza delivery. I recommend it!

01/04/2026: Great pub setting for drinks, food and activities including dance and sports on tv. Very attentive but laid back staff and good service. The snacks and appetizers are great, and the primi plates and very good. This is not a go-to place for meet in Politeama/Libertà.

06/06/2026: A truly unpleasant experience at the San Lorenzo Market. There were three of us and we sat at a completely empty table, when a girl immediately came over to tell us we had to get up because we hadn't spent €8 each at the wine bar. I find it absurd that you have to spend €24 on alcohol to sit down, especially considering we're all teetotalers. In all the years we've been frequenting the market, something like this has never happened to us. We won't be returning. The girls were way too rude.

16/04/2026: Hotel Review – Location right in the heart of the Ballarò Market, Palermo *Good* - *Cleanliness*: Both rooms were impeccably clean. Full marks. - *Restaurant*: Outstanding, truly Michelin-star quality. Service, friendliness, team – everything was extremely courteous, charming, and service-oriented. Every dish we tried was flawless in both taste and presentation. The restaurant alone is worth a visit. - *Bed in Room 1*: Large and very comfortable. - *Room 1 Amenities*: Two bathrooms with toilets and showers, plus a freestanding bathtub in the bedroom, and two TVs. - *Service during room exchange and check-out*: Very friendly and competent staff member. Extremely helpful. - *Luggage storage*: Luggage storage was offered while waiting for the room to be ready. - *Size of Room 2*: Spacious. - *For my needs*: It was perfectly adequate for my needs. I'm very easygoing about this. *Bad* - *Location*: Right next to the Ballarò Market. Extremely loud and dirty. Construction sites everywhere, jackhammers all day long. No vacation atmosphere whatsoever. The views from the rooms are nothing but renovations and construction noise. - *Noise in Room 1*: Located directly in the courtyard. Restaurant patrons sit just 1 meter from the room door. A compressor behind the bed kept switching on all night – as loud as an air compressor next to your pillow. Sleep was impossible. - *Technology in Room 1*: Flickering lights, probably 20 different switches, transformer noises, until eventually nothing worked at all. - *Smell in Room 1*: It smelled musty. We had to empty the dehumidifier in the room three times in one night. - *Building Condition in Room 1*: Questionable. - *Room 2*: Extremely small bathroom, no bathtub. Dirty balcony. A less expensive room category below the suite would have even included a whirlpool, which we had actually expected with the suite. - *Check-in service*: The employee seemed arrogant, lacked charisma, no smile, and was neither charming nor service-oriented. No explanation was given about the room. The concierge did not offer the woman assistance with her luggage. There was also no greeting in the restaurant in the evening. - *Value for money*: €774.85 for 3 nights in a 4-star hotel. For that price, we had construction noise, technical problems, and a musty smell on the first night.

14/04/2026: A lovely and very quiet hotel right in the city center. We had a simply furnished room and the breakfast was adequate. The building itself is very nice and the staff was friendly. Great location.

10/06/2026: The view is very good, and the food is quite nice. Last night, however, our experience was poor. Wait staff was inattentive at best, and downright condescending at times. We had an 8 o'clock reservation for four. We arrived a bit early to a nearly empty restaurant, there were three othertablesoccupied. We declined the table offered in the corner, opting for one with a better view. It was set for five. Though clearly annoyed, the matre d consented to the change. There were no menus. We were instructed to scan a QR code. This required access to their wifi, which I was allowed to access only by giving my name, phone number and email address. One appetizer was named "flowers", described as "flowers, flowers" Seriously! We ordered it in hopes of squash flowers fried. The appetizers came promptly. "Flowers" were an tasty unidentifiable ball set into a delicious sauce. The fried potatoes were irresistible. The eggplant parm was top notch. Then... nothing. For an hour. When we complained that we were without our main course having waited an hour, the snotty kid who was supposed to be waiting on us contradicted us, denying that it had been an hour, and refusing to do anything, "It's the cook who controls it". By this time the restaurant was full, with guests all around us enjoying their meals. No one would take responsibility as we worked our way up the command chain until we got to the manager. She responded well, and in minutes our food was handed to us by the condescending snot. It was 9:35, an hour and a half after our arrival, perhaps 70 minutes after ordering. The dish was marketed as fillet of croacker. Again it was unidentifiable, but at least chunks of white fish (a little dry, a little overcooked) in an excellent sauce. Given the number of good restaurants in Terrasini, I doubt I will ever have the urge to give them another shot. You go ahead, though, other people were being served at a reasonable pace.

30/05/2026: We were recommended this place from our Airbnb host and went for a pre-dinner drink & appetiser. The staff were so friendly and locals dining outside helped us to order. It was a lovely local spot with great choices. We got the sharing platter of meats & cheeses as well as wine and it was 10/10. A lovely hidden gem away from the busy tourist streets. Don’t miss on your next trip to Palermo!
