06/04/2025: We went for a pizza, which was good. The thing that left me very perplexed was that the room inside is located on a mezzanine, which can be reached via a very narrow staircase, so you either go up or down. The service staff has to go up and down to bring the various dishes.

22/03/2025: I went here for lunch on my last day of my solo-trip to Sicily! The food was amazing and the service a 10/10! Pizza is traditionally served only for dinner, but they would still tolerate you ordering a latte macchiato even if it’s already „too late“ for that ;-) I chose some great sea food variations for appetizer and main course. The precision of how the food was set up and the flavors unfolding with every bite you take are amazing. The restaurant is a bit hidden when coming from the Main Street but it’s definitely worth navigating to. Their terrace offers an amazing view and the sound of the ocean, combined with the calming background music blends perfectly into a perfect atmosphere!

15/02/2025: Locale bello ... per il panorama bisogna andarci di giorno anche perché la strada è senza illuminazione e la pavimentazione stradale fa pena. Il cibo buono. Unica pecca in parte il servizio: accoglienza di una ragazza ( Antonella) di un' arroganza unica la quale dopo il mio ordine si è permessa di dire alla collega dopo aver visto il nostro ordine " ma sono a dieta?" Solo perché avevamo preso due antipasti di pesce e 1 piatto di pasta. Mai un sorriso, mai è stato chiesto se era tutto apposto, sostavano davanti al tavolo per togliere velocemente il piatto mettendoci a disagio. Mi dispiace ma il cliente soprattutto se nuovo va coccolato e non maltrattato così come è stato fatto. Proprietario alla cassa gentile ha effettuato anche lo sconto. Ero arrivata con tanta speranza visto che me ne avevano parlato bene le persone del posto ma sono rimasta delusa!

13/03/2025: Posto molto bello e.curato .eravamo di passaggio x lavoro e ci siamo fermati x un pranzo veloce...antipasto ottimo primi ottimi e ricci fantastici ma tutto questo ancor più accompagnato dal servizio di Paolo una persona attenta e che sa' far bene il suo lavoro! Ci torneremo soprattutto x lui.

Russo, who shares the same surname as me, is a wonderful person, and has managed to combine character, personality, quality and good food in his restaurant. I recommend it to you. 02/02/2025: Not bad, but a bitter or a limoncello after a sumptuous dinner you expect them to offer you instead paid and even salted. This is being lousy. For this reason they have lost customers. We will not return.

03/03/2025: A piece with bechamel for 3 euros for the carnival... Never again. And they even call it ravazzata... Well... Basically a brioscina with a lick of bechamel. Double the size of Palermo and less than half its size. Seasoning just to say.

14/10/2024: For us, the first time, the place was a little cramped, the person in charge of the chickens was a very capable person, I had no contact with anyone else (except with the lady at the cash register who was a bit clumsy). Excellent chicken as well as the rotisserie mignons. We were passing through but would go back.

26/03/2025: Vabres è un piccolo bar, non lontano dalla Stazione Centrale e, per sua fortuna, lontano dai tradizionali e scontati circuiti turistici palermitani. Questo ha permesso a un bar di famiglia di non snaturarsi, ma, al contrario, di crescere grazie all’arrivo delle nuove generazioni. Si può gustare un ottimo caffè e tutti parlano bene dei suoi dolci. Ma Vabres è, soprattutto, il migliore posto di Palermo per gustare un’ottima arancina. Certamente le tradizionali: con raguncino rosso di carne e piselli (per i palermitani “accarne”), o con prosciutto cotto, mozzarella, burro (ovvero “abburro”), e accanto a queste le arancine con spinaci mozzarella e grana, quelle con salsiccia, con melanzane, con bacon e provola. Il ripieno è omogeneo e di qualità e resta ben distinto dal riso perfettamente cotto. La panatura e la frittura è realizzata a regola d’arte, con una crosta croccante al punto giusto, che non lascia tracce di unto. È molto apprezzabile avere arancine fritte espresse, se richiesto; personale gentile e molto efficiente, ottimo il rapporto qualità-prezzo.

01/02/2025: Stracciatella scam.. today Saturday 1st February I stop to buy some stracciatella as I usually do.. they tell me it's being prepared and it already seems strange to me.. meh!! When I get home I prepare my croutons and when I add the stracciatella I realize that it wasn't even remotely stracciatella but it was mozzarella cut into strips with an immensity of cream!! Simply painful... a real rip-off. Next time it's better to say we don't have any... you'll make us look better...

16/02/2025: Environment created from an ancient noble residence, very glamorous. Well cooked and plentiful dishes. The presentation needs to be improved. Excellent service. Adequate price. Friendly and helpful staff.

27/10/2024: La camarera nos trajo pan con hormigas. Huelga decir que lo enviamos de vuelta! Deberíamos habernos ido entonces. El pez espada rueda sin sabor y rancio, el resto de la comida bastante deslucida. El personal se quedó mirando sus pies, sin experiencia o simplemente aburrido, difícil de decir. El plato fuerte llegó 30 segundos después del arranque, todo muy apresurado. No puedo ver cómo se mantiene en el negocio, probablemente la ubicación. Evite, hay alternativas mucho mejores cerca.

18/02/2025: We went to this place, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The pizza was very hard, difficult to cut and eat, a sign of a poorly prepared dough. The quality of the ingredients was poor, the flavor unappealing and not at all up to expectations. The rest of the food didn't convince us either, all very mediocre. Too bad, because the place might have potential, but we definitely won't be back.
