The menu also includes salads and wine, and for beer lovers, the Paulaner is a big plus. We were there on a Saturday around 7:00 PM, and within half an hour, the restaurant was filled with Italian families, which clearly demonstrates that it's a favorite spot for locals. We were also pleasantly surprised by the very low bill—significantly lower than most places we visited during our week-long trip to Sicily. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, local atmosphere and excellent pizza in Cinisi. 11/05/2026: Definitely the best pizza we've ever eaten. The dough is so thin it's almost nonexistent. The taste made us go back a second time and tried other dishes – definitely worth it. The staff was smiling and multilingual. A fantastic place. We've been to several places in Cinisi, but this is our "one."

17/02/2026: I contacted Matteotti Cafè to arrange a delivery for some vegetarian guests staying at my vacation home... beyond the super fresh and delicious products (but they'd already told me about them), I found courtesy, professionalism, politeness... and punctuality! 02/05/2026: Best meal in Palermo! Excellent service from fluent English server who provided food and wine recommendations that were spot on. Food was refined yet simple dishes that were bursting with flavors. Owner and his mom were working the bar and the kitchen. This area is a few blocks from the tourist joints and filled with happy and stylist young people.

19/05/2026: We had the most lovely meal at Il Carretto. The service was so friendly, they were helpful with the menu in explaining the dishes including the specials. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are decent. We had eggplant meatballs for starters which were so tasty. For mains I had the Spaghetti with muscles which had a great amount of muscles and a delicious flavour. We did not have room for dessert but I’d be keen to go back to see what they offer! Highly recommend this restaurant which is in a nice quiet location with beautiful views of the church tower up the alley way.

17/07/2026: We were late getting back to Palermo after a beach day and craving pizza.... Google maps prescribed Pizzottando. We ordered two of the simplest classic pizzas on the menu because thats what we fancied and let's face it there's nowhere to hide with a margheritta - if you can't do that well you're not doing anything well. Let me tell you that these guys do pizza very very well! Tonight's pizza's were probably the best we have had in Italy (including Napoli). Very friendly staff and a great buzz about the place.

A big shout-out goes to Tiziano, the owner; I found him to be really kind and friendly. I had a great time! I definitely recommend it.

Everything is prepared with fresh ingredients, and the prices are more than reasonable for Sicily. I highly recommend this place.
