01/06/2025: We ordered a pizza and a smash burger to take away, the delivery guy arrives and delivers only the sandwich, he didn't even know the pizza was there, but he informs us that it will arrive with another delivery guy. I open the sandwich and the ingredients were missing, and what was inside was miserable, in fact you can see it from the photo. Honestly never again

23/01/2025: Pizza terribile, sicuramente surgelata e scongelato. Ne ho mangiato un quarto perché immangiabile e sono stata male di stomaco 2 giorni. Location squallida e fredda senza riscaldamenti. Posso da scartare. Consiglio vivamente i titolari di cambiare mestiere. Magari con l'edilizia impastando calce e cemento saranno più capaci.

10/01/2025: During my lunch break I stopped at this diner in Rometta Marina in the province of Messina, I tasted the baked pasta, as good as homemade, a baked calzone with tuma. On September 28, 2024 During my accompaniment of the newlyweds we stopped for a snack before going to take the photos as in the photo 😅 Friendly and kind staff. Highly recommended 🔝

La location è splendida, ma ciò che rende davvero speciale questo posto è il personale: accogliente, premuroso e di una generosità rara. Un grazie particolare al direttore di sala, persona colta, garbata e capace di mettere chiunque a proprio agio, con consigli sempre attenti e mai scontati. Servizio impeccabile, atmosfera calda e cucina di alta qualità. Un esempio perfetto di ospitalità siciliana. Complimenti sinceri!

25/05/2025: Tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa en Ristorante Granduca, situado justo en el corazón de Taormina en Corso Umberto, justo al lado del Hotel Metropole, donde nos alojamos. La terraza panorámica es absolutamente impresionante, ofreciendo vistas impresionantes que hicieron que nuestras comidas fueran aún más memorables. Éramos parte de un viaje en grupo con varias familias, y a pesar de que el restaurante estaba lleno, nos mimaron y atendieron atentamente durante toda la noche. El servicio fue impecable, logrando el equilibrio perfecto entre amable y profesional. Disfrutamos tanto de las pizzas como de los platos del restaurante, todos los cuales estaban deliciosos y muy bien presentados. La selección de vinos finos fue otro punto culminante, complementando perfectamente nuestras comidas. El personal era amable y atento, y realmente apreciamos el descuento que se aplicó espontáneamente, a pesar de que no lo habíamos pedido. Este lugar superó nuestras expectativas, y sin duda volveremos. Muy recomendable!

14/05/2025: Il Datterino è un locale dell’atmosfera accogliente . Personale gentile e attento a ogni nostra richiesta. Abbiamo mangiato un antipasto squisito e delle braciolette che sì scioglievano in bocca , un’esplosione di sapori.Un ringraziamento speciale al Direttore Elio per la sua professionalità..

07/05/2025: Il cibo delizioso, gli involtini alla messinese erano superbi . Ma la cosa che mi ha colpito è stata la cortesia e la gentilezza dello di tutto lo staff, ho vissuto un ambiente molto accogliente e professionale.

28/10/2024: Thought we’d go for breakfast . Wish I’d not bothered. Avoid the omelettes. Didn’t taste freshly cooked, served cold. Infact tasted like they’d been reheated.

08/10/2024: We had passed many times and the place looked enticing. We thought we would try a coffee and see how the place was run. How disappointing very rude staff and overpriced coffee! Basically the waitress raised her voice at my wife and said “Lady you sit here’! Much better places locally to spend your money, don’t waste your time here!

29/09/2024: We are seasoned travellers and are open minded to facilities being different in different countries/areas The rooms are large, and storage good. Everything was very clean. Good communication via whats app but you never saw anyone - there was a reception area but there always seemed to be a man sleeping on the sofa. The kitchen is a bit tired looking. Useful parking area, lift to each floor However there are improvements that could be made. There are only two glasses in the cupboard for an apartment which holds four people No toaster No kettle Safe didn’t work- they said they were waiting for a lock smith as a previous guest had left it locked Balcony door did not shut or lock- you are just protected by a locking shutter door There are no balcony chairs so you have to drag kitchen chairs onto balcony If you have children they sleep in the kitchen so you would have to be quiet on the balcony- they are two proper single beds - not sofa beds The area where it is, is close to the beach but to reach the hotel /beach/road you need to cross a stream. Which in itself Is not a problem - you can easily drive through it - but if you had a push chair or wheelchair you have to cross a poorly made bridge made of scaffold type boards and pallets Short walk to restaurants and very nice cake shop. Best views are further up the road or in the hills BEWARE: No beach from September till ? No breakfast from September till ? This information is not advertised and they only tell you after you have booked If you could use the private beach it isn’t really a proper beach it’s just some wooden type decking with umbrellas/chairs that is next to the sea, you’d have to climb down to reach the actual sea so couldn’t leave children unattended there We booked through booking.com, the hotel said they were unable to take payment from our card however we had been using the same card for all our other trips so they sent a link to pay which worked fine We then left a ‘fair’ review on booking.com but because the booking was effectively cancelled we were unable to leave any extra wording. Somehow they have changed our review from fair to exceptional and scored a ‘10’ which it most certainly wasn’t. It’s more like a 6 They use the name Sirina House Hotel rather than what this is listed under on google

04/09/2024: A paradise. Ultra helpful and friendly staff. Responsive to every need. The place: a true paradise. Stunning sea, uncrowded and beautiful beach. You are one step away from everything. Taormina is easily reachable, with the bus station just 50 meters away. Overall, I recommend it to everyone!

06/06/2025: Was quiet but my sword fish was fabulous and so too my husband's minute steak. The family running it are friendly and helpful. I've read that it's off the beaten track and yes it's not on either of the 2 squares or the main road but Castelmola is a small village so it's not hard to find and is worth the little effort.

28/05/2025: The service and food was great. They were very friendly. The view from the terrace is magnificent. Our 10 month old granddaughter loved their spaghetti. My gnocchi was amazing. I finished with a taste of their local almond wine! We will be back!

31/05/2025: Good food quality but abnormal timing 1 hour and a half for a pizza and 3 first courses and the starter arrived after half an hour. Note that the place has a maximum of 25 lids when ordering. Staff mortified by the situation.

27/05/2025: Everything is good but be careful about one thing if you are a regular customer you get special treatment. They serve me first even though they arrive later. The waiter with a turn of phrase takes you for a ride… morally it is not suitable for a tourist. But I repeat the food is good. The service is too poor. The owner says everything is false. If anyone wants to see the video I made of the waiter while I point out that the guy comes after me and he answers me with lies and tells me not to worry because I handle the orders. Footage that does not suggest anything even the audio is clear you can contact me in pvt willingly.

02/05/2025: Nos sentamos a tomar una copa, vino un camarero arrogante que ni siquiera podía decir POR FAVOR. Nunca he conocido a un camarero más grosero, no podíamos esperar a tomar nuestras copas y marcharnos, horror.

02/05/2025: No lo recomendaría! En primer lugar el servicio - simplemente se olvidaron de lo que pedimos, nos trajeron antipastoso típico que es como plato de bienvenida en todas partes en Taormina, y simplemente lo agregaron a nuestra factura más tarde! Olvidé que preguntamos por vino y demás. Pero lo más interesante fue que al final cuando recibimos nuestra factura nos confundimos ya que adicionalmente a “por coperta” deberíamos pagar un 10% como “por servizio”!! Y usted no encontrará esta línea en ningún otro restaurante allí. Así que, definitivamente no recomendaría este lugar! BTW. La comida en sí era demasiado gorda, aceitosa, no sabrosa.

14/06/2025: We bought 2 arancini with ragù. Total 6 euros...acceptable price being in Taormina, but terrible flavor and cold inside (fridge stuff reheated and served)!

04/06/2025: They attract you with low prices, but in reality they don't bring you anything. We took 2 spritz where the aperol was not at all tasted (probably diluted with water) and a cutting board where the ingredients on the menu were not indicated. The owner told us that the cutting board included bresaola, a selection of cheeses and "other things" (that's exactly what they said). In the end, we received a tiny cutting board with 5 slices of raw ham (not much), 2 (exactly two) pieces of emmenthal from the supermarket, 1 toasted slice of toast cut in two and as decoration 2 slices of tomato and 6 slices of orange. He also brought us a basket of bread, to eat with who knows what... Price 4.50 * 2 (spritz), 10 (cutting board), 2 * 2 (cover charge). TOTAL 23 euros. Narrow tables and waiters shouting left and right. Avoid!

11/05/2025: Purtroppo qualità pessima nei prodotti di rosticceria , devo dire molto deludente soprattutto come qualità, da evitare assolutamente…

28/04/2025: Scrivo questa recensione con una data quasi fittizia, ci sarò stato un centinaio di volte all'ancora, sia lato bar dentro gli imbarcaderi che lato strada. Allora non sono d'accordo con le rece totalmente negative, ottimo caffe', servizio veloce e buoni cornetti. Rosticceria nella media , e piatti della gastronomia passabili. Non c'e' eccellenza , e' vero, ma non credo alle recensioni totalmente negative che leggo poiché in questi anni ho sempre avuto modo di assaggiare un po' di tutto e non ho mai constatato la pochezza di chi da un solo pallino nella recensione.
