20/07/2025: Bar closed when Maps says it's open, update the hours

10/07/2025: My experience at this bar was terrible. They're serving breakfast at a nearby tourist accommodation, and despite having informed me when I made the reservation and in the days prior that a gluten-free breakfast would be required, they didn't specify that it wouldn't be possible, nor did they give me anything at all to eat. At Bar Ambasciatori, they only offered me a coffee and a glass of water each of the three days we stayed. On one occasion, they even told me that if I wanted another coffee, I'd have to pay for it, but I didn't get anything to eat. I went hungry the first two days, and on the third, I brought food I bought at Lidl myself. The accommodation tried to talk to the bar, but the result was the same. I ended up paying double, for the supermarket shopping and for a nonexistent breakfast. A very bad experience with the bar and the waiter who served us the three days.

18/04/2025: We arrived at this bar, a terrible cold and empty diner, a very bad reception and owner with a good deal of rudeness towards customers. Experience not to be repeated. €2.20 cents per piece of inedible wood!

08/07/2025: Beautiful place at the foot of Mount Etna, courtesy and professionalism are the added value. Excellent prices. Highly recommended.

27/04/2025: L'Agriturismo Il Sentiero degli Ulivi, situato a Santa Venerina, offre un'esperienza autentica nel cuore della Sicilia. La struttura è immersa in un paesaggio suggestivo tra uliveti e agrumeti, con una vista panoramica che spazia dall'Etna al mare. Il ristorante propone piatti della tradizione siciliana e catanese, preparati con ingredienti a km 0, come provolette al limone, ravioli in crema di pistacchio e dolci fatti in casa. Il personale è cordiale e disponibile, contribuendo a creare un'atmosfera accogliente e familiare. La struttura è ideale per famiglie, grazie anche alla presenza di un'area giochi per bambini e spazi esterni ben curati. Un luogo consigliato per chi desidera rilassarsi e assaporare la genuinità della cucina siciliana.

12/10/2025: Disappointing experience in every way: Poor service Insufficient food quality Non-existent organization A side note about payment: we politely asked the cashier if we could split the bill so we could pay by card. Her response? "No, because I have other things to do." Too bad we were the only ones at the register.

30/09/2025: IT'S DISGUSTING! I FOUND AN ANT AND A DEAD SPIDER INSIDE THE KEBAB! And the Monster had expired. It was my favorite once, but after this experience, I definitely won't go there again.

07/05/2025: Compartimos una ensalada mixta, pasta alle vongole y un plato de pescado a la parrilla. Todos estaban bien cocinados y sabrosos. Hacemos una mención especial a las sardinas a la parrilla que no estaban secas y a la pasta vongole. Buen y rápido servicio. Situado en medio de la lonja de pescado tiene todos los pros y contras de la ubicación.

13/07/2025: 45€ per cosa, esattamente? Un menù fisso che sa di fregatura. Sono stato a La Bettola dei Marinai con la speranza di gustare un buon pranzo vista mare, ma sono uscito con la sensazione di essere stato truffato. Il famigerato “menù fisso” da 45€ a persona è una trovata ben confezionata per attirare clienti e svuotar loro il portafoglio senza offrire nulla di realmente all’altezza del prezzo. Nessuna trasparenza su cosa includa esattamente il menù, nessuna possibilità di scelta, e soprattutto un'esperienza che non vale nemmeno la metà di quanto pagato. Alla fine il conto arriva senza sorprese… ma con tanto amaro in bocca: 135€ in tre per qualcosa che altrove sarebbe stato classificato come “menù turistico” da massimo 20€. Un’operazione ben studiata per sembrare autentica, ma che puzza di marketing ingannevole lontano un miglio. Non tornerò, e consiglio a chiunque di informarsi bene prima di sedersi. Unico aspetto positivo.. i ragazzi che lavorano li come camerieri

22/10/2025: Excellent fresh fish, not processed but classic cuisine. True Sicilian flavors. Served as if we were family. Unbeatable price. Compliments to the manager. Highly recommended to people looking for quality but not luxury, it's not at home here.

18/10/2025: €90 for three people wasted. Three mixed appetizers cost €18 per person, completely overpriced, and three first courses each barely contained 100 grams of plain pasta with a little sauce on top. When I asked, "Look, the pasta is so small, completely unrelated to the sauce, and practically full of water," the response I received was, "We're family-run, and the chef isn't good at tossing pasta, and I admit the portions are very small... but my customers like it that way." The €15 price (listed on the menu) for each first course magically dropped to €13 after my speech (still a lot for barely 100 grams of plain pasta). Avoid going there; maybe they'll teach the chef how to toss the pasta and add a few extra strands. It's a meal to forget.

02/06/2025: Lascio questa recensione con l'amaro in bocca perché avevo un bel ricordo di questo pub negli anni passati. Sono andata a bere un drink insieme a mio marito e ci hanno fatto accomodare in sala, dove eravamo gli unici clienti. Ho notato subito il rettangolino di carta che ci hanno messo a mo' di tovaglia ma non pensavo ci avrebbero fatto pagare 3 euro di coperto per quello, anche perché avevamo solo preso 2 drink. Al momento di pagare, abbiamo chiesto EDUCATAMENTE per quale motivo stessimo pagando quei 3 euro di coperto quando non era stato offerto nessun servizio di allestimento del tavolo(=tovaglia, tovagliolo, posate, piatti, bicchieri). Se il proprietario ci avesse risposto altrettanto educamente spiegandoci magari che il coperto è obbligatorio e serve a coprire le spese del locale, del personale etc avremmo pagato senza battere ciglio. Invece il proprietario ci ha trattati come dei pezzenti invitandoci ad andarcene senza pagare e accusandoci di creare discussioni, alzando la voce e con un fare maleducato, interrompendoci più volte. Mi dispiace per il personale evidentemente in imbarazzo per la reazione esagerata del proprietario. Chiaramente abbiamo pagato i nostri drink come giusto che sia, ma avrei preferito lasciare quei 3 euro come mancia alla cameriera che è sempre stata gentile.

10/05/2025: Locale situato in bella zona, raggiungibile a piedi, e anche caratteristico per la posizione nel vicolo. Alla ricezione persona attenta alla clientela, gentile, ci siamo seduti nel giro di poco (avevamo prenotato). Abbiamo mangiato pizza, ci era stato raccomandato, me è arrivata in un attimo!! Cornicione molto alto, sua caratteristica, ma a nostro avviso non ben cotto, come spesso accade quando la pizza viene cotta a temperatura molto alta per fare prima. Al gusto non male, però di notte si è fatta sentire perchè dormire è stato alquanto faticoso.

17/08/2025: One of the worst pizzerias I've ever been to. The pizzas arrived 2 hours after ordering. They should compensate us. They're really poorly organised. If you manage a place like this, you'll close down first. Not to mention the squalid bathroom. The only things that really save the place are the really kind service guys. Not recommended.

29/07/2025: Very quiet and pleasant atmosphere. A quiet evening away from the chaos, enlivened by karaoke entertainment, which featured some truly wonderful singers, and it was a pleasure to dine with their voices in the background. Prices weren't inflated, service was very fast, and parking was excellent. I highly recommend it.

15/08/2025: If I could give zero stars, I would… A truly disappointing experience for the Ferragosto dinner. The buffet service was terribly organized: endless lines, and whoever arrived first got to eat. The crowd was unbearable, with people pushing from all sides. We found ourselves packed in like sardines, with plates bumping into each other and hair flying in the food. Let alone the quality of the food, which I can't even begin to describe. Only focaccia and pizza were delivered to the table, but only upon request and over a half-hour late: we even ate fruit and then received our pizza. Such poor organization completely ruins the experience, especially on a holiday.
