20/03/2025: I organized a lunch to celebrate an important anniversary with my family at Purgatorio and I was completely satisfied with the choice. Together with Mr. Pier we composed the menu and all the dishes were excellent, well prepared and presented. The service was excellent as were the arrival times of the dishes. I absolutely recommend this restaurant for those who want to taste traditional Sardinian dishes revisited with originality but without distorting the flavors.

30/10/2024: Did not stay here but was able to come for dinner and everything was DELICIOUS!! The portions are huge so come hungry. I don’t eat pork and after giving them notice earlier in the day they accommodated so well! I got my own charcuterie spread and beef steak instead of suckling pig. Definitely recommend, especially if you have a certain dietary restriction (just make sure to WhatsApp them ahead of time)

31/03/2025: It's disappointing when you make a reservation only to find out when you arrive that the restaurant is actually closed! A professional restaurant should take care to ensure their hours are correct on their reservation service (The Fork). If they can't take care of the simple things, how do they take care of the meal?

22/03/2025: Ohhh yes. I’m unfair! I’m in this wonderful place on the 22nd of march. Mr Danilo, owner of this place, gave us a great lesson on these dishes. he is simple a passio ate person and his deep knowledge about wine and food is…. priceless.
Join me and ask for: tasting of cured meat and goat cheeses.
And not only Danilo but also the whole staff is at a higher level.

05/03/2025: Recommended by friends. Simply fantastic. All delicious, cooked on the spot, so changes due to intolerances are also possible. A superb seafood risotto and linguine with clams and walnuts top marks. Highly recommended. Congratulations again to chef Gianni.

There were 8 of us for dinner after landing in Olbia.
Delicious fish and pizza, even gluten-free ones, are a delight. Congratulations for having an eye also for celiacs. It doesn't take much to make a difference. Very good and very competent in serving celiacs. We will be back.

01/11/2024: We had a great time, everything was excellent! Land/sea menu: porcini appetizer, exceptional first courses (homemade pasta😋), second courses, fresh sea bream and very good local meat. To finish, seadas with lavender honey, myrtle, limoncello and home-produced grappa. Kind and friendly family environment. I recommend a walk in Monti, the town of Vermentino di Gallura.

19/03/2025: Every time at "Mattacchione, estro in cucina" is an experience for the palate. Chef Giuseppe knows well how to treat raw materials and each dish is an experience, a journey into new and old flavours, which come together pleasantly. I define it as a "palatable" experience. Super highly recommended, give in to the Mattacchione's pampering.
