17/08/2025: Hotel San Francisco is a really nice place. We felt well-cared from the very beginning, and were given very good instructions on how to get to the hotel (we received a very helpful video). The communication with the staff was fantastic – we arrived in Cala Gonone really late but Mr. Maurizio was waiting for us and kept in touch with us, for which we were truly grateful. The room was very comfortable and very clean, the staff kept the rooms very clean. Breakfast outside was very pleasant, with a beautiful view, very close to the sea. Mr. Maurizio was truly helpful with every issue – from small tips about the location to attractions around Cala Gonone. The location is excellent; despite the lack of parking directly at the hotel, finding a parking space nearby was never a problem – we were also very grateful for the staff's tips. We also highly recommend ice cream – the best in all Cala Gonone! We hope to return to this beautiful place, and if we do, we will definitely choose the Hotel San Francisco, where we could truly relax. Greetings Magda & Marek

17/08/2025: A perfect weekend in every way I spent two wonderful days at this property: comfortable room, relaxing atmosphere, and attention to detail. Chef Gianni's cuisine was truly a treat, with tasty and carefully prepared dishes—especially the unforgettable seafood fregola. The dining room service, managed with professionalism and friendliness by Teresa, Nicola, and the entire staff, made the experience even more enjoyable. I recommend this place to anyone seeking quality, authentic hospitality, and the warmth that makes you feel at home.

18/08/2025: This restaurant is located in a super panoramic spot of the beautiful Santa Lucia... We went for lunch and we highly recommend the tiramisu and the deviled octopus 😍😍😍 deli-cious!!! As for the service, it was super fast and accompanied by Luisa's friendliness and professionalism.

17/08/2025: Not recommended. We ordered the seafood pizza. The seafood was almost certainly frozen and tasted like wine vinegar. The pizza was poor quality. There were ten of us, and no one could finish a single pizza. Highly not recommended. P.S. The cutlery was also dirty.

02/09/2024: The only discordant note is the bread which does not fully satisfy my taste but which is still appreciable overall. Each filling is always a nice mix, perfectly cooked and never indigestible. Originality in the proposals, some beers are truly the top, even produced on the island. Nice music and "wow" decor

31/07/2025: Locale aperto da poco alla Caletta, personale gentilissimo, ottima cena, Pan frattau spettacolare, come tutto il resto. Straconsigliato!! Noi ci torneremo presto!

31/07/2025: Wir hatten schon von diesem Restaurant gehört, es war bis vor Kurzem noch in Siniscola und ist nun nach La Caletta umgezogen. Es ist wirklich schön gestaltet mit einem schönen Ambiente. Leider hatten wir keinen Tisch reserviert doch fragen kostet bekanntlich nichts und so sind wir zu viert hinein um nach einem Tisch zu fragen - und es hat geklappt! Die Menükarten sind italienisch doch mit der passenden App schnell übersetzt. Wir probierten Fisch und wurden nicht enttäuscht - es war perfekt! Für dieses leckere Essen und das tolle Ambiente lassen wir gern 5 Sterne da.

The owners and their daughter are very kind and welcoming, the place is spotless both inside and out, and the service was quite fast despite it being busy. When we're in the area again, we'll definitely visit them again. 😊

08/07/2025: My favorite place for a quick and hearty lunch in Nuoro. I tasted the best pane frattau in the area. The sauce was amazing. The macaroni chin bomba and ravioli were delicious. It's also a nice place for an aperitivo with friends.

16/05/2025: Fermatomi a Nuoro per partecipare a un convegno sono stato portato da alcuni amici per prendere un aperitivo. L'atmosfera è molto gradevole, richiama altri tempi e la sosta nel locale, che è attualmente il più antico della città, dopo una tirata in macchina da Cagliari, è stata molto rilassante, anche per la grande cortesia del personale.

A coffee here is a guarantee of excellence (recognized by Gambero rosso) and if you want tea and dessert it is the best, thanks to a careful offer of fresh pastries and exquisite artisanal cakes. Thanks to the blow-ups by Salvatore Satta, Antonio Ballero and Francesco Chiusa, the atmosphere is apparently austere but in reality it is informal, in all three environments, the large room, the small room and the area in front of the counter.
