This small, family-run restaurant in Caprarica di Tricase has a somewhat long wait, as is often the case on Saturday nights. An extra waiter would be helpful, although the one female waiter does a good job. The pizza is good and well-seasoned. The beer selection is also decent. Prices are more than fair. In the summer, access to a small courtyard is through the kitchens.

Truly excellent pizza! Light, well-leavened dough with a soft, fragrant crust. The ingredients are high-quality, and you can immediately sense the attention to detail in their preparation. The pizza is always rich, well-topped, and cooked to perfection. Even the fries on top were crispy and tasty, without overpowering the flavor of the other ingredients. Quick service and excellent value. For me, Pizzeria Lu Salentu remains one of the best pizzerias ever.

I've been coming to Tricase for 18 years now, and this is hands down the best pizza I've had in the area and in all of Italy. I've been to Naples to try gourmet pizzas made by renowned pizza chefs who could only learn a thing or two. The atmosphere is humble and professional, the pizza is made with passion and an eye for tradition, a place and staff that prioritize quality and customer service over appearances. You can eat two pizzas without feeling heavy, with a soft yet crispy crust. The variety of flavors and doughs is like a luxury restaurant, with reasonable prices, NOT TO SAY LOW. Not just pizza... the place offers good wine, good beers, and a staff that knows how to make you feel at home without lacking professionalism, guaranteeing fast and friendly service based on the customer's needs. In short, WHAT CAN I SAY!!! It would be MADNESS NOT TO STOP. If it were up to me, I'd only eat here. I love Salento also for the Lu Salentu pizzeria... The best pizza I had, even if it's out of your way it's worth making a trip . Extremely good value for money. We were group of 8 in one week and 6 second week, every single time everyone was enjoying their pizza. Definitely worth a visit!

We absolutely loved Lu Salentu, so many delicious options on the menu, the ingredients, sauces and crusts are all spectacular. Wonderful local family atmosphere, would absolutely recommend for a lovely meal.
