30/09/2025: Delicious food: best meal of our two week trip. It was Sunday evening so restaurant was quite quiet. As with many Italian restaurants the lighting is a little bright for my taste but that is a minor point. Definitely recommend a visit if you are in Locorotondo. The lemon dessert is to die for!

10/10/2025: Tucked away in a small alley is this delightful restaurant with a friendly staff and excellent food. Our group of 10 tried both starters and mains, and everyone raved about the flavors and freshness. Add in some wonderful Puglian wine, and this restaurant was a real winner for our group. The staff spoke just enough English to help us navigate the menu, but everyone else there as Italian which to us was a good sign. If we go back to Locorotondo, this place will be at the top of our list.

08/10/2025: A delicious meal of lamb chops, very tender and cooked to perfection, ravioli with eggplant and fresh tomatoes, and excellent glasses of white and red wine... Quality service, a subdued atmosphere, and moderate background music: everything we're looking for!!! We're waiting for dessert to conclude... a flawless course: the pistachio and mandarin dessert was sublime, the Buffalo dessert too... we really enjoyed ourselves... thank you very much. We highly recommend it. 🫶🫶

18/10/2025: I'm sorry to give this restaurant such a low rating, as it's cozy and the food is good, but the service is slow, very slow. To give you an idea, it took us two hours to eat and 15 minutes just to get our coffee. There were only two of us.

23/10/2025: At the recommendation of our hotel, we dined at this restaurant. Despite the late hour, we were warmly welcomed by Mr. Gianni and his wife. We took Gianni's advice, and he prepared a mixed grill with top-notch sausages, delicious bombette, and other spectacular cuts of meat! To round out the dinner, we were also treated to some excellent biscuits. Everything was excellent, highly recommended.

22/10/2025: During our trip to Puglia, my husband and I were looking forward to eating at a butcher shop that also serves as a restaurant in the evening. Bad choice. We ordered two small kebabs, two sets of three meatballs, and a rib of beef on the owner's recommendation. The kebabs were delicious. The meatballs were dry, and unfortunately, so was the rib of beef. Too thin and not at all rare as requested. We also ordered two potatoes, a bottle of water, and two coffees. The total came to €82, with no itemized bill. We expected so much better. It was the only questionable meal we had in Puglia. Everywhere else, we were spoiled. But the hardest part is being taken in by such big smiles and incredible kindness. They are a lovely couple. We didn't dare say it wasn't good, and we took the meat away in a napkin to throw it away later. We didn't want to upset them. But when my husband showed me the ticket, I was taken aback!

09/11/2025: Restaurant found by chance. Absolutely amazing, especially the assortment for two—almost 12 small plates! And the wine was perfect for us French! 👍 Highly recommended. And be sure to ask for Claudio, who is incredibly helpful and as kind as his smile, as is his female colleague.

06/10/2025: A delightful discovery! A welcoming and well-kept place, with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. The pizza is truly excellent: light, well-leavened dough, perfectly cooked, and quality ingredients. I tried a pizza with potatoes, mushrooms, mozzarella, and crispy bacon—an irresistible balance of flavors! The appetizers were also excellent: a Calabrian dish with peppers, potatoes, and porcini mushrooms, while the French fries were crispy and golden brown. All washed down with a good draft beer, for a simple yet impeccable dinner. A place we'll gladly return to, whether for an evening with friends or for a relaxed dinner with a breathtaking view of Locorotondo. Kudos to the Belvedere staff: top-notch quality, courtesy, and flavor! 👏🍕🍺

16/11/2025: First time we have experience like that. You choose your meat in the "a la" "store section " and after that your meat will be grilled to perfection. Quality of the meat is superb, fresh, and local of course. Be ready to eat a lot☝️ Locals start coming after 13-13:30, so if you'll come before you have a chance to be alone in a calm environment, after that traditional Italian situation, a lot of customers, loud, laugh, talk. Do not miss the local wine from the house, really nice! Highly recommended when in Locorotondo

02/09/2025: We discovered this place thanks to the Lonely Planet guide to Puglia, during our visit to Locorotondo. We immediately felt at ease thanks to the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff, who, despite some difficulties during the evening (such as service issues caused by a storm), managed everything with professionalism and attention. The meat dishes were excellent: we chose a mix of grilled pork and beef, truly well prepared.

20/08/2025: Lured by the positive reviews, I booked a dinner here. The service is very slow, the food so-so... the bathrooms are clean but a bit cramped and there's no changing table. The tartare I ordered was actually a joke, the bombettes small but good, the pork strips excellent, the tagliata good, the knife-point sausage very very salty, the potatoes good. I'm sorry, but I wouldn't go back.

11/10/2025: Mandragora is a real treat for those seeking authenticity, flavor, and a warm welcome. Located in a charming village, the restaurant combines local flavors and experimental dishes with great balance. Each dish is meticulously prepared, the ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the flavors are authentic. Angelo and Kristian are attentive and know how to make guests feel pampered. The atmosphere is intimate yet lively. The value for money is more than fair, considering the attention to detail evident in the cuisine and the hospitality. In short: I absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to discover the best of Puglia in a special atmosphere.

07/10/2025: Beautiful setting. Good service. Simple meal. Chicken cooked well, but simple to prepare with arugula and mini tomatoes, no sauce. Ravioli would have been better cooked in water or pan rather than deep-fried.
