Went here for dinner, and we had some delicious food. We ordered the pork shanks and the picanha skewer, and they both came served with potatoes. They were amazing, melt-in-your-mouth delicious and so well done.
The service was also very good, the waiters were super friendly and nice.
If you are in Locorotondo and would like something different than a typical Italian pizza/pasta dish - please do yourself a favor and go here!

We escaped a rather torrential downpour here for literally hours! Angelo was very welcoming and kind. Everything was tasty, from cappuccini to cocktails to a warm and filling lunch. It will be a lovely memory of our trip to Puglia.

Very good food, very good sandwich, only thing is the music, it's bearable, the music disturbs the customers

Very friendly staff, especially Angelo. Excellent pork shank with potatoes. Delicious bombette, chicory, and meatballs. We'll return in the summer to enjoy the panoramic view.
Great location proving a cozy atmosphere. Has outdoor seating. Coffee, Cappuccino was one of the best we have had during our Italian trip

I've dined at Mandragora several times since a few years ago, and I must say that, fortunately, the restaurant's quality has remained fairly high over time.
Although it doesn't offer much space, both indoors and out, the venue is well-maintained, located in a small square adjacent to the beautiful historic center of Locorotondo, opposite the Villa Comunale.
The selection of food options is quite extensive and original, ranging from vegetarian dishes to meat and fish dishes, offering traditional local dishes with a contemporary twist. Some of the cocktails are interesting.
The service is generally good, although on certain evenings it can be a bit late. However, I would also like to emphasize the courtesy and willingness to reserve tables for a small number of people even without a reservation.
The quality/price ratio for the food and service is quite acceptable, although in my opinion a little high for the quantity. It's also been experiencing a general upward trend since the Itria Valley has become a popular tourist destination, especially in the summer.
In conclusion, I recommend choosing Mandragora as a place to stop for dinner, even during special events like the "Festa delle Luci" (Festival of Lights) in early July, when the entire historic center is immersed in a charming atmosphere of light and music.

The place is very nice, the appetizers are good. The first courses are poor, and the orecchiette with turnip tops are absolutely not recommended, as they lack any connection with the rest of the sauce. The gnocchi with fondue and mushrooms are too mixed. I recommend the panini or club sandwich instead. On holidays, it's mandatory to order two courses.
