The use of ingredients is intelligent and creative, never lapsing into unnecessary flourishes. The welcoming atmosphere, the attentive and professional service, friendly without ever being pretentious, complete the experience. What can I say, if you find yourself in Altamura—or even just in the surrounding area—Calvi restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Recommended: Grilled beef ossobuco, Scottona steak tartare with ginger mayo, Linguine with red shrimp absolute, Brioche with chocolate chips and gelato. 🔝

Excellent wines are also available, from the cellar. The hospitality of the hosts: Mina, Giuseppe, and their children, makes this place special. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail, nothing is left to chance. I celebrated my 30th birthday here and ate here many times with loved ones. It never disappoints! Long live this rare pearl of Apulian dining.

06/09/2025: We went on a Saturday night, for the 10:00 PM shift. Despite the large number of diners, the service was prompt, with no long waits like those usually found in other places. Unfortunately, it was quite noisy, which could be disruptive for those looking for a quiet evening: there were seven of us at the table, and we were forced to raise our voices to understand each other! The food was good; we ordered two portions of fries and two portions of fried pettoline, a plate of porchetta and crostini, seven pizzas, eight sporcamuss, six draft beers, and four bottles of water. I recommend paying more attention to the shape of all the pizzas, as mine turned out to be different from the other six my friends had. Prices were above average, with a €2 surcharge for lactose intolerance. Total bill was €180; neither liquor nor coffee were offered.

27/09/2025: A beautiful place with great taste in its furnishings. Service was a bit slow for a place with limited seating. A very extensive wine list, but unfortunately, several were missing—a shame! On the other hand, I drank a spectacular white wine (PECORINO) that paired perfectly with the tonnarelli carbonara with truffle and zucchini—DIVINE! I would recommend reviewing the wines paired with the dishes on the menu because they are random and inappropriate. The pinsa was also excellent; I recommend it, although I can't say the same for the desserts. I will definitely be back, thank you!

Impeccable cuisine, with chef Jacopo's experience reflected in every dish on the varied menu, packed with excellent fish and quality meat. Not to mention a vast selection of wines, a perfect match! Attentive and friendly service, with our very own Antonella winning us over with her masterful serving of the Milanese cutlet, sliced ​​and served to order. The presentation was so meticulous, it made your mouth water even before it was served. It's truly a feast for the eyes and the palate! A gastronomic experience worth repeating!

It was fragrant and spicy just right, so tender it was perfect for eating with your hands. The house Primitivo was excellent. The staff was helpful and courteous. Highly recommended.
