01/07/2025: A perfect dinner, between elegance and authenticity of Salento. I had the pleasure of dining in the restaurant and the experience was impeccable from every point of view. The menu is one of the strong points: interesting proposals, with three well-thought-out and anything but banal vegetarian dishes, in addition to the possibility of choosing the catch of the day and even the type of cooking desired. A rare and much appreciated flexibility. The location is wonderful: overlooking the sea, elegant but without excess, welcoming and relaxing. The outdoor garden is cared for with extreme attention, a modern homage to the classic Salento garden, among large plants, soft lights and Mediterranean details. The staff is another plus: courteous, fast and professional. Although some preparations required longer cooking, the service was fluid and punctual from start to finish. Even just sitting at sunset, overlooking the rocks, is worth the visit. But with a cuisine of this level, the pleasure is perfectly completed. A place where taste, atmosphere and kindness coexist in perfect balance.

27/06/2025: Lo Scalo: Where the Lobsters Are Swift and the Service Is... Philosophical Lo Scalo is perched so perfectly on the cliffside it feels like a Bond villain’s lair, if said villain were into seafood, succulents, and vibes. The view? Utterly ridiculous in the best way. You don’t just look at the sea - you commune with it. Giant cacti nod approvingly, as if to say, “Yes, you’ve made it. You’re one of us now.” The menu is sea-forward, as it should be: lobsters, mysterious shell-dwellers, and other aquatic volunteers. The coffee is surprisingly excellent, possibly roasted by a monk who lives inside a nearby rock formation. Speaking of rock: Pink Floyd once dined here. And honestly, it tracks, the surreal vibe, the timelessness, the faint feeling that you’ve slipped into a dream where lunch may or may not arrive. Maybe they are the waiters now. Maybe we all are. Service, however, is more of a metaphysical concept. You’ll spend your time contemplating the horizon, your purpose, and whether that bread basket was a mirage. But would I go back? Absolutely. It’s the most beautiful place I’ve ever been ignored in.

29/01/2025: Questo simpatico ristorante, posto nel cuore del centro storico, offre le specialità più tipiche della cucina salentina. Sono bravi, scrupolosi e attenti a non allontanarsi dal solco della tradizione e questo, indubbiamente, è il suo punto di forza. Alcuni piatti sono strepitosi! Le "sagne 'ncannulate" e i "pezzetti" di cavallo, per esempio, sono assolutamente da assaggiare. Poi ci sono la "pitta" di patate e la parmigiana, così buone che non si può non ordinarle. Non mi sono piaciute, invece, la cicorie saltate con i pomodorini: legnose e poco saporite. Sono assolutamente da migliorare (anche nella scelta delle materie prime).

15/06/2025: Nice little restaurant where you get to choose your meat and then they would cook it for you and take it to the table. Reasonable prices for the location. Service was on point, not much variety of meet. All in all a good difference lunch experience with the family

The cuisine, simple but never banal, manages to surprise with every course. The genuine, seasonal ingredients, masterfully transformed into dishes that taste of home but speak with the language of great cuisine. Each dish reflects a perfect balance between taste and simplicity. There are no special effects, but every bite leaves its mark. Furthermore, the dining room staff is always courteous, attentive, helpful, capable of making every guest feel welcomed and at ease. It is not just a restaurant, it is a way of understanding the cuisine, the land, hospitality. And every visit is a happy return.

28/04/2025: Da Peppe Zullo si va sempre sul sicuro. Abbiamo deciso di passare da lui la Pasqua e ci siamo fatti un’ora e mezza di auto per arrivarci + altrettanto per tornare a casa. Ma ne è valsa sicuramente la pena. Menu fisso ma tutto buonissimo, la parmigiana di borragine indimenticabile. Vino rosato delle sue cantine ottimo. Spero di tornarci presto, nonostante la distanza!

13/06/2025: Vinimos aquí porque el otro lugar estaba reservado para un evento privado y no podría ser mejor que esto sucediera. Nos costó encontrar la entrada porque el navegante señaló el lugar en medio de un puente, vio las señales en un edificio pero no entendía la entrada; se encuentra debajo del puente de la calle y el camino hacia / desde el largo puente de acueducto que conecta ambos lados del pueblo. Hay varios comedores en este restaurante, todos con diferente encanto, pero le recomiendo encarecidamente (si no tiene problemas claustrofóbicos) sentarse en cualquiera de los ubicados en las zonas de cuevas; nos sentamos en la sala Nevaia que disfrutamos, pero si son solo un par, pregunte y reserve Solo por comedor debido que es estrictamente para dos; el Arco dell'oste (solo para 2 también) también es agradable, pero está cerca del corredor ocupado. Teníamos un poco de queso fresco (pallone Gravina 6 , 00 ) ; aperitivos (desayuno del granjero 20 , 00 cada uno) que venían con un poco de jamón cochinillo en rodajas, calabacín frito, queso frito, bolas de pan, crema de judías anchas, pastel de berenjenas (OK, todas las porciones muy pequeñas) ; la pasta de cavatellini con tapas de nabo, palillón (el queso local) y pimientos crujientes (12 , 00 ) estaban muy deliciosos. Los postres estaban bien; el pastel caliente Gariga (5 , 00 ) es solo un pastel de chocolate fundido, muy promedio, lo mismo para el marzatiramisu (6 , 00 ) pero el Uovo che uovo (sorpresa dulce de huevo 7 , 00 ) era uno interesante hecho con chocolate blanco con un toque de naranja. El servicio es excelente, el tipo que nos esperaba estaba muy orientado al cliente y nos ofreció un corto recorrido por las bodegas subterráneas; las áreas públicas son agradables y limpias, pero los baños carecían de inodoro y papel seco a mano... Un lugar estupendo para disfrutar de una comida en un ambiente singular, aunque no tiene las viviendas talladas en roca con vistas al estilo Matera como el que pretendíamos ir, pero este ofrece algo que está al siguiente nivel.

13/04/2025: Located in the main square of Vico del Gargano, among the most beautiful villages in Italy, there is this rustic restaurant, pizzeria and paposceria business. It is certainly worth a visit, for quality, taste, assortment and last but not least passion for one's work. Honor to the merit and professionalism of Angelo the owner. Go and try it and you won't you will regret it at all, in fact, you will be amazed thanks to the quality and variety. Well done.

02/07/2025: Covered and uncovered places. Reservations are always recommended, possibly in the morning. High turnout of customers, friendly operators, good quality pizzas, fairly fast service for table rotation. Average-high price quality. To return.
