30/07/2025: The Hotel Mediterraneo has been a favorite vacation spot for us for several years. This year, we stayed there again between June and July. Conveniently located just outside Porto Cesareo, you can choose whether to head north or south toward the Salento beaches. It's seafront with a view of the harbor; it's wonderful to wake up here to the morning breeze and the scent of the sea. The rooms are spacious, welcoming, and very clean. The breakfast and cuisine are excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful, never intrusive, and ready to meet our every need. Warm regards to Daniela and her family. See you next year. 09/07/2025: We were given a room with a shower that didn’t drain. Daniela at the front desk tried a plunger and left. It still didn’t work. She told us we’d have to wait until the next day and offered no other solution, so we had to use extra towels to keep the bathroom from flooding. While dealing with that, my wife picked up a pillow and a bug fell out. I looked in the pillow case to find a disgusting yellow stained pillow. The bug turned out to be a German cockroach. Daniela moved us to another room on a different floor, only for us to find two silverfish on the fold-out bed, one on top and one in the sheets. By now it was nearly midnight. I asked for a refund since both rooms had bugs in the bedding. We have two small kids and weren’t about to let them sleep with bugs. Daniela offered yet another room (no thanks) and then claimed there was nothing else she could do because of the holiday. She promised to follow up Tuesday but never did. I messaged her twice on WhatsApp and was ignored both times. We left at 11:30 p.m. and drove 4.5 hours home in the middle of the night. Hotels.com support tried to help but couldn’t get the manager to approve the refund. This place is disgusting, unprofessional, and clearly doesn’t care about guests’ health or basic hygiene. Stay far away. I did give them 5 stars for Eco-Friendliness though, they’re incredibly welcoming to the local bug population.

16/08/2025: The place is truly beautiful and welcoming, with a splendid and well-maintained pool that makes the stay very pleasant. The staff's hospitality was impeccable: always kind, helpful, and attentive to guests' needs. Breakfast was also a positive note: varied and very good, served with courtesy and attention. The rooms, while very beautiful, could use some maintenance. The bathroom in particular, with a bathtub that leaked a lot due to a loose curtain, showed signs of limescale and imperfect finishes. General cleanliness could also be more thorough, with some visible dust. Furthermore, the annex outside the room, while charming, was difficult to use due to the lack of a table and chairs. Overall, the stay was pleasant, but the price seems a bit high for the quality of maintenance and overall guest experience. With a few more improvements, it could truly be a perfect experience.

16/07/2025: siamo stati per la prima volta in questo ristorante in riva al mare incuriositi dalla terrazza panoramica e dal menù di pesce. Cucina ottima con piatti gustosi e ben preparati anche se rapporto qualità prezzo secondo me potevano dare e fare un pochino di più, comunque abbiamo cenato molto bene, ottima la carta dei vini e dei dessert. nota dolente è il sovraprezzo di 10€ a persona per il servizio in terrazza ( eravamo stati avvisati) che secondo me sono troppi. comunque consigliato per una cena romantica.

07/07/2025: You can spend the evening with whoever you want outdoors in a large square with tranquility and often with live music that you can listen to even in winter in the modest, but welcoming, covered area.

10/08/2025: First of all, the staff is very kind, there is always a place for us and they are very respectful, the cuisine is fantastic, the prices are very low and the quality is high, I have nothing else to add, it is truly wonderful
