It is a place with traditional Barese food. We had an exquisite fabi e cicorie antipasto. The orecchiette al ragu and the pugliese bombette were very good too. The average service. They brought us another antipasto which we had to claim twice for it to be correct. It is a place that fills up quickly. It has tables outside.

It's a delicious and reasonably priced restaurant. Recommended. Especially the mussel and potato risotto.
However, the service was rather rough, and I was charged for the after-dinner drink that the person next to me drank. (I thought it was strange so I checked the receipt later)
If you just pay like the Japanese do, you will fail. (laughing story)

A very popular and informal tavern located in Bari Vecchia, typical and genuine cuisine. I tried the typical orecchiette with turnip greens, very good to recommend. I underline the delicious and plentiful glass of wine, they don't skimp on the quantities. For dessert I took the "sfilthymuss" puff pastry and lemon cream... the size of a biscuit, nothing special. Informal and friendly staff....when I asked for cheese to put on the turnip tops they replied....heresy is not done 😜! Well respect for traditions is fundamental. I don't give my best because I only tried one dish before leaving.

Paglionico, right in the center of Bari, is a typical tavern that is absolutely worth trying to enjoy some traditional cuisine. Very good appetizers, excellent homemade orecchiette, as well as the tiella from Bari (rice, potatoes and mussels), absolutely tasty meat and fish second courses. To this we add the discreet and friendly staff and a bill at the end of the meal that won't make you regret your choice given the exceptional quality-price ratio. Highly recommended!

Ristorante semplice ma allo stesso tempo tipico.
Cucina tradizionale a prezzi onesti nonostante la posizione centrale.
Orecchiette con il sugo perfette, ti senti a casa.
I ragazzi dello staff sono gentili, ci piace la semplicità con la quale gestiscono il locale. Super raccomandato.

All'inizio di Bari vecchia con una bella veranda si gustano piatti di pesce ottimi, in un'atmosfera piacevole, persone gentile e disponibile.
