29/06/2025: Unfortunately, a cloud of dust hung over the mountains the entire day, so the mountains couldn't show off their beautiful beauty. The hotel is a lovingly run family business. Rekardo, who spoke good German, helped us a lot, e.g., (helped us jump-start our motorcycle), explained things, and gave us tips. A great hotel team. Thank you for the lovely, full breakfast.

29/06/2025: Very friendly manager and staff. The breakfast buffet was definitely worth the money. Our corner room had a somewhat small bathroom with a bathtub. Everything seemed newly renovated, and we had a small balcony with a lake view. Right on the street. Unfortunately, the street noise was a bit loud at peak times. But nothing that wouldn't stop us from booking again. Very animal-friendly. Our small dog was very welcome, even on the pebble beach. Water shoes are recommended. Sunbeds with umbrellas and towels were free. The town of Stresa was about 3 km away. Easily accessible on foot along the road. Not advisable due to the narrow streets. We recommend this small, friendly hotel. The price-performance ratio is excellent. Several German TV channels and free Wi-Fi (only available in the hotel)

23/06/2025: Highly recommended restaurant. Friendly service!!!! Excellent choice of menu and quality of food. If you are here for the first time, I recommend you choose the tasting menu. The portions are generous.

11/06/2025: A great certainty! Dining with chef Franco is always a pleasure, delights for the palate, every time it is a different sensation, one of a kind. The environment and service put you completely at ease. Absolutely worth trying when you come to Stresa.

29/05/2025: Very good artisanal ice cream. You can really taste it. However, it's still relatively expensive for Italy because the cones are very small and industrial.

25/05/2025: Finally a lactose-free ice cream with special and delicious flavors! I tried the "ricotta and caramelized figs" and I fell in love! Very kind and helpful staff, friendly and pleasant. I highly recommend it to those who, like me, suffer from lactose intolerance and want to enjoy a delicious ice cream far from the usual flavors ♥️

10/05/2025: Este es un restaurante de visita obligada. Escondido en las calles traseras, es un lugar encantador con una maravillosa bienvenida. Comimos dentro que es acogedor pero hermoso ya que estaba lloviendo, pero la terraza se veía preciosa. El servicio era excelente y la comida también era excelente. Deja los restaurantes junto al lago a otros y sé aventurero y encuentra esta pequeña joya.

08/05/2025: Das Ambiente des Lokals hat uns angelockt. Sehr schön und toller Blick. Ein Service war im eigentlichen Sinn nicht vorhanden. Das hochpreisige Essen war das Geld nicht ansatzweise wert. Langweilig und lieblos. Schade.

08/07/2025: We were craving lake fish, and following a recommendation, we ended up at this charming restaurant on Isola dei Pescatori. The atmosphere was welcoming, with a terrace overlooking the lake. We chose an excellent grilled freshwater fish (two types of trout and whitefish), which was truly tasty and perfectly cooked (very fresh fish) without any unnecessary condiments (just a tasty flavored oil), garnished with excellent baked potatoes. The dessert was also delicious (a lemon tart and a warm chocolate cake with fiordilatte ice cream and passion fruit cream). The service was prompt and prompt, and the bill was surprisingly (in a good way) just €56.

04/07/2025: A very nice restaurant for being on a small island in Lake Maggiore. The pasta with sauce is perfect, it is al dente and the sauce melts in your mouth. All the fish dishes are good since they are fresh, freshly caught. The waiters are polite but above all the owner who is the nicest and most helpful. Highly recommended!

26/06/2025: We ate here both lunch and aperitif as a family. Everything was excellent, the service was absolutely impeccable and the price was more than fair and honest. An unrivaled location for families: lakeside, with a view, on one side the park and the parking lots a stone's throw away, on the other the children's games and the free beach. Wonderful, we will definitely be back!

01/07/2025: Make sure you book! Especially during the weekend, booking is very useful! To get to the restaurant, just take the ferry from Stresa or Baveno and in 10 minutes you are on the upper island of the fishermen. The restaurant is very nice with a terrace on the lake. The food is good (we had both the grill and the fried lake fish) and the prices are normal (starter, 2 main courses, 1 dessert and 1/2 liter of house wine and 2 coffees are €30 per person). Don't expect the "wow" effect on the dishes though! The waiter and staff in general are very nice.

21/06/2025: I'll start by saying that the view was breathtaking, we had lunch on the terrace, a little hot under the awnings but the food was really delicious, the appetizers, first courses, cheeses and desserts were excellent. They accept dogs and they are served a bowl of fresh water upon arrival. Very friendly, we will definitely return.

28/06/2025: LaStresa es un restaurante de estilo moderno situado en el centro de la ciudad, en una pasarela peatonal de Via Principessa Margherita. El menú es extenso con una amplia selección de carnes, pastas, mariscos y deliciosos desiertos. El ambiente es bueno y los servidores son amables y atentos. Debido a su ubicación central los precios son más altos que la media, lo que se equilibra con la calidad de los platos. Muy bien.
