30/03/2025: Prima esperienza in questo ristorante. Una gradevolissima sorpresa. Ti accoglie un cameriere che è super educato e simpatico.. Ti sa consigliare ottimo cibo. Ottimo anche il cocktail... Per antipasto un tagliere e una bruschetta e giardiniera tutto di prima qualità. I primi piatti fatti in casa porzioni abbondanti.. Purtroppo foto dei primi non sono riuscita a pubblicarli... Tagliatelle al ragù di lago ,e dei ravioli ripieni. Volete finire in bellezza una bella fetta di torta al limone eccellenza dell'isola provatela. Provate questo ristorante ci torneremo presto

05/02/2025: Extremely nice restaurant, we ate very well. Pizza with porcini mushrooms is excellent, focaccia Saporita just as well. The staff is very friendly and pleasant. I recommend 👍👍

Un risotto alla carbonara buono ; un bollito con cipolle caramellate veramente buono. Un dolce discreto. Vino della casa discreto. Una bottiglia d’acqua . Conto 74 € per due persone. We were lucky enough to get there after nine in the evening, and we are truly grateful for the warm welcome and the opportunity to have a delicious dinner at such a late hour. The service is beyond praise: attentive, friendly, but at the same time completely unobtrusive. Special thanks to Signor Dominico for his recommendations - they were impeccable. The beef was tender, juicy and perfectly cooked. The pasta puttanesca was a real symphony of flavors: rich, spicy, with a bright character. And the semifreddo... it was a dessert delight, light, refined, on par with the best gastronomic impressions. It was a truly exceptional dinner and an amazing experience that we will definitely want to return to. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and see you soon!

23/03/2025: I go to the Grand Hotel et des Iles Borromées whenever we want to experience a special moment with my family. The structure is wonderful, very well-kept and with a breathtaking view of Lake Maggiore. The pool has been recently renovated and is a truly fantastic place to relax. The staff is extremely professional and helpful. Truly a unique place. I returned recently and discovered that inside the spa there is a truly excellent hairdresser. One more reason to come back again

04/12/2024: Nous n'avions pas eu l'occasion de manger à Il Verbano depuis que l'auberge a été reprise par le chef Marco Sacco. Ce fût chose faite en avril 2024 lorsque nous y avons à la fois déjeuné et dîné. Pour déjeuner, nous avons choisi un menu léger. Pour dîner, nous avons pris un des 4 menus proposés. Notre seul regret est de ne pas avoir pu déguster les 4 menus. L'accueil est impeccable, la cuisine à la hauteur de la réputation du chef et le cadre tout simplement magique

03/12/2024: We chose this restaurant on recommendation but big disappointment. The +: impeccable service and magnificent setting The -: very high prices at first glance but why not the menu is promising. Very disappointed, the starters are tiny, the first course for me is a pasta stew with a few mussels and a few potatoes. Well presented but it's still pasta at €96, the menu is inappropriate. 2nd course fish without accompaniment… dessert ok. In summary, an experience that does not live up to the prices and the promise of the presentation of the menus.

16/02/2025: ⭐ 1 Star – Disappointing Experience If you enjoy waiting endlessly for your food, struggling to get a waiter’s attention, and being served the wrong dishes at every stage of your meal, then Il Clandestino might be for you. Unfortunately, for those of us who expect even basic hospitality, it’s an overpriced disaster. Even with an advance reservation. Our dinner took an excruciating 2.5 hours, with each course arriving at a glacial pace. The staff were impossible to flag down, and when the food finally arrived, it was wrong every single time. When we politely pointed this out, instead of an apology, the chef’s response was arrogant and dismissive, telling us that if we wanted “express dining,” there were 120 other restaurants in Stresa to choose from. A baffling attitude for a place charging these prices. Fine dining doesn’t mean slow, inattentive service and inflated prices for the privilege of being ignored. Stresa has plenty of fantastic restaurants—unfortunately, this is not one of them. Note: you will see the owner (chef) has responded below. One cannot add any words to this. His attitude and contempt for customers is self evident in his response. Some people are just better off not being in any service business.

04/12/2024: Il Vicoletto est pour nous un lieu incontournable de Stresa lorsque nous recherchons une trattoria familiale de qualité. Tout y est frais et savoureux. L'accueil est chaleureux et bien loin de la médiocrité des restaurants de la Piazza Cadorna.

08/01/2025: Livello più che da osteria. Bravo il cuoco, carbonara di lago e monte bianco mi resteranno nel cuore. Location bellissima e giovane cameriere, dall'aspetto e dai modi settecenteschi, davvero piacevole. Unica pecca la cantina in esaurimento, ma la stagione inizierà fra qualche mese... Bravi.
