13/08/2024: Excellent local and typical address. Welcomed with a smile by the owner as well as a friendly and efficient French-speaking waitress. Without reservation we were nevertheless able to have a table. Typical dishes + fast service: an excellent address at Lake Orta

10/08/2024: Delicious food in an authentic restaurant. Small dishes to share and also from the region. Good wines. Nice staff!

22/08/2024: Urtrevligt hotell med allra bästa läge i byn. Ligger på en kulle med utsikt ner över sjön & orten Orta San Giulio som är fantastiskt charmig med kullerstensgränder, restauranger, torg etc. Bra rum, rent och fräscht. Trevligt fint poolområde med solstolar och parasoller. Dock får man betala för pool handdukar!! Frukosten mycket bra - äts med fördel ute på den vackra terrassen med utsikt som är bedårande.

19/08/2024: No comment on the food as we did not taste it. We left straight after we were seated. They Gabe us the worse spot on the terrace in between to exit doors. We did book upfront by phone. They could have warned us or simply tell us that the restaurant was "complete. The staff was very unfriendly and looked depressed.

18/08/2024: An experience to live, because even the most detailed descriptions wouldn't convey the idea. Attention and care for detail, for the dishes, for the guests, for the place itself together with competence and professionalism... without taking anything away from the lake view that forms the backdrop. Compliments. Special and well-executed dishes, attentive and friendly service. I recommend it.

04/08/2024: We were able to eat and enjoy a few times in the restaurant during our vacation. And we'll definitely see each other again next year! Beautiful oasis of peace and relaxation, delicious food and drinks.

15/08/2024: Had lunch outside overlooking the square and lake. Both the gnocchi with mussels and the ravioli (bauletti) are very good. Good and fast service. Prices in line with other restaurants. Advised

15/08/2024: We ate there one lunchtime (2:30 p.m.). The meal was really good: spaghetti and gazpacho! The waitresses were very pleasant, especially with our little daughter who was starting to get tired: obviously Italian is calming!

05/06/2024: We loved this place. After lots of restaurant meals we craved something different. We found the perfect solution here. Excellent wine at sensible prices. And lots of fabulous tapas type food. So we ordered a number of different plates which arrived at regular intervals and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We sat inside the characterful interior but there were tables outside as well. Highly recommended.

07/08/2024: The pizzas are good but we regret the use of not fresh ingredients like olives and canned mushrooms, a little disappointing. The staff is very friendly despite not always optimal service during peak hours. The setting is pleasant but the tables are a little crowded.

24/08/2024: I came at 13.50 for lunch and they said our kitchen is closed. Seriously? I write everywhere that you work for lunch till 14.00?

09/08/2024: Pan& Vino is a fixed stop when I pass through Orta, where there is certainly no shortage of options but often "touristy" or traditional. 08/08/2024: Very nice place and tasty dishes. Too bad the rudeness of the boy who welcomed us. We had been waiting for a table for about 15 minutes, when we saw that one had become available we politely asked if we could sit. We were answered in a rude and sarcastic way "what are you saying? Shall we clean it first or do you want it dirty?". I understand the stress of working with the public but we have a duty to leave nervousness at home. Bad response and unacceptable. If it weren't for the fact that I didn't want to queue somewhere else I would have left. It's the best way to lose a customer.

03/07/2024: Abbiamo cenato in famiglia in un accogliente ristorante di tapas, dove ogni piatto era un'esplosione di sapori autentici. Il servizio è stato impeccabile e l'atmosfera calda e invitante ha reso l'esperienza davvero speciale. Un luogo perfetto per gustare tapas deliziose in buona compagnia!

02/07/2024: Bellissima esperienza. Location posizionata in piazza ad Orta San Giulio che gode di una meravigliosa vista sull'isola. Locale molto curato ed elegante, sia nella parte esterna che in quella interna. Servizio accogliente e professionale, attento alle esigenze dei clienti. Piatti eccezionali, cucinati in modo sublime da uno chef di livello capace di valorizzare le pietanze e proporre piatti originali e diversi dal solito. Materia prima fresca e di qualità. Antipasti, primi, secondi, tapas, insalatone, ecc... per tutti i gusti! I menù variano in base alla stagione per offrire il meglio... tutto buonissimo. Posto consigliatissimo, una perla ad Orta San Giulio!

29/08/2024: Bad food for Italy (reconstituted burger steak, frozen fries...) we paid twice (once my partner once me without them realizing it). After asking politely if we could leave the car for an hour after our meal (mid-afternoon) and this request was accepted another person from the establishment came and asked not to leave the car while we had lunch there at midday and the parking lot was empty. The setting is pleasant but the food is very average and the welcome is bad. A tourist trap.

30/07/2024: The lake sashimi is exquisite. The starter of prawns and watermelon with Campari was also excellent. The homemade duck dishes are delicious. I would suggest increasing the portion of the black cabbage risotto. Well trained staff. Location in excellent position. Adequate account.

20/07/2024: Very beautiful view of the lake. The staff is pleasant but that's it. Caesar salad with raw chicken in the middle. 3 langoustines of a good size but no pliers to break the legs.
