03/09/2025: The pizza overall is quite good and well-made, and the staff is very kind and helpful. However, I did notice one particular detail: my pizza (provolone and pepper) had an aftertaste reminiscent of salmon, or at least something fishy. Personally, it didn't bother me, but it could be a problem for those with allergies or who are very sensitive to these flavors. A small point that could be improved in an otherwise worthy pizzeria.

30/08/2025: We were a group of 11 and decided on the pizza tour. FINALLY something different. The dough was delicious and super digestible. Delicious pizzas. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back. €15 for the pizza tour, including a Nutella pizza to finish.

31/08/2025: Today for my birthday, my dad invited my daughter and me to Les Due Lanternes. I live in Spain, but every time I came to Nice, I made sure to visit Les Due Lanternes. For me, its closure was truly a shame. When I learned it had reopened under new management and a renowned chef, I was delighted! Unfortunately, however, I was very disappointed. The joke was good, but nothing wonderful. Honestly, the best was the one at the previous restaurant, perfectly seasoned. In my opinion, hazelnuts don't go well. The peppers... a dish that left me completely indifferent. The eggplant tart wasn't bad (it's actually a classic flan with tomato sauce instead of fondue). I didn't order anything else, and thankfully. I chose it for my daughter, and we found the few dishes appealing. The usual plin pasta with roast beef sauce (bought from dad, but nothing special), fusilli with cheese, pepper, and bacon (good, but...typical Piedmontese?), gnocchi with meat sauce (I can't rate them because we didn't try anything else). The main courses were too original for our tastes (mango salsa, licorice, etc.). The menu is certainly original, but not suitable for those looking for simple, authentic Piedmontese cuisine, not reworked to appear more chic. The worst part, and the reason for my rating: the service. Slow? No, ultra-slow. Between one course and the next, they handed us more bottles of water, more breadsticks, bread, etc., to pass the time. My daughter basically had focaccia and water for lunch because, by the time the first course arrived 40 minutes later, she was already full. We were so desperate we didn't even look at the desserts... Two hours for two courses for lunch??? It's not a wedding. And I don't think there was a crowd or a shortage of waiters (I counted four). I'm sorry, but they won't see me again, and I won't recommend it.

23/08/2025: We had a very positive experience at Le Due Lanterne restaurant in Nizza Monferrato. We were greeted with kindness and professionalism by the entire staff, who were always attentive and friendly. The dishes were truly delicious, beautifully presented, and with attention to detail, showcasing the local flavors. The restaurant is centrally located, easily accessible, with a large municipal parking lot right in front. Recommended for those seeking quality, a warm welcome, and memorable cuisine.

20/08/2025: We organized dinner for my daughter's birthday. The place was very charming, with all the fairy lights creating a lovely atmosphere, and the food was excellent, with some sophisticated dishes. The only downside was the mosquitoes, which persist despite the treatments they apply.

19/08/2025: Beautiful location with a killer view. They were able to accommodate a completely vegan 3 course menu, which pleasantly surprised me as well! I got the tomato/cucumber/bell peper gazpacho as a starter, it was a lovely soup. As a second I got a plate of humus (surprise surprise) but it was very tasty and definitely home made! As the main I got one of the regular menu pastas without the creamy cheese. It was a little bland, but still tasty. For desert I had a strawberry sorbet (without alcohol) : absolutely delicious. The decaf coffee was also tasty. I would definitely recommend this place to other vegans. The meal was delicious and the view was the cherry on top. Thanks for the lovely service and experience!

05/08/2025: What a lovely place with genuinely friendly people. We started with four house aperitifs – a perfect beginning! The pasta and meat dishes that followed were delicious and generously portioned – maybe a bit much, but so good you just keep eating. We ended the meal with fresh watermelon and liqueur of the house. A warm and welcoming experience all around!

29/07/2025: I stopped in quite randomly one Sunday for lunch with seven other friends on our way back to Genoa, and we left with the promise of returning for every birthday party from now until forever. The deliciousness of every dish, from appetizer to dessert, is perhaps surpassed only by the courtesy of the staff. What a wonderful discovery!

23/07/2025: The waitress was courteous and helpful. The wait was short. They offered us a very good appetizer. We ate well, and the place is quite intimate, although being on the street means you can get some cars passing by. When we went, however, there wasn't much traffic.

22/07/2025: We visited Ristorante Centrale in Moncalvo during the height of white truffle season, and it was a memorable experience. The restaurant is welcoming, elegant but not overly so, perfectly nestled in the Piedmont hills. We ordered several white truffle dishes and were impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the absolute respect for the star of the season: each course showcased the truffle without overpowering its aroma, allowing its aromas and flavors to shine through. The service was professional, attentive but never intrusive, with staff knowledgeable about the dishes and ingredients. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to indulge in a high-quality lunch or dinner during truffle season. It's a local favorite.
