18/01/2026: Everything was perfect. Chiara and her staff were exceptional, the food was sublime, and the location was amazing! Thank you, I'll definitely be back.

28/12/2025: I chose this hotel exclusively for the spa, paying €217 per night. Too bad the spa, in fact, wasn't usable. All the seats, chaise longues, and loungers were "occupied" only by abandoned towels, with no one present. After over an hour without even being able to sit down for a minute, I reported the matter to reception. The spa colleague's response was that "everything was occupied," casting doubt on my report. Curiously, only after my report was made was a towel removed and a seat vacated, effectively contradicting the employee's earlier statement. The spa was completely unsupervised: overcrowded for its size, noisy, messy, and clearly lacking in cleanliness (I never saw anyone come to clean the floor given the overcrowding). There was no access management, no supervision, no respect for the minimum rules. Calling it a "spa" is misleading: it's more accurate to call it an indoor pool left in disarray. The staff appeared helpless and disinterested: a first female operator constantly on the phone, followed by two young men completely passive in the face of the situation, chatting among themselves. The result: the spa was unused on the only available afternoon of the stay. To be fair, the management offered early access to the spa the following morning. This was an absurd and unusable offer, as it was only available at 11:00 a.m., therefore after checkout. I wasn't looking for a discount outright, but paying for a spa and not being able to use it even for a minute would have deserved at least some concrete compensation. Nothing. The rooms are average, with no added value; the windowless bathroom is a questionable choice for a hotel of this caliber. The breakfast is varied but of poor quality: dry panettone and industrial pastries (cream bonbons that look and taste artificial). In short: high price, poor service, non-existent spa management. If you're looking for relaxation, order, and an experience worthy of your money, look elsewhere.

21/12/2025: December 21st. Three days after the birth of Jesus, those days when we're all kinder, gentler, more polite. I enter alone, at 8 p.m. A foreign woman entering alone should arouse at least a little pity. I enter. The bells go ding dong. In front of me are three workers. No one raises their head. I say: good evening. Nothing. No one raises their head, no one responds. I say out loud: good evening. One raises her head and lowers it again. After a while, one says: good evening and lowers her head. I approach the counter, feeling a bit like Mary looking for a place to give birth, since it's almost snowing outside. After a while, a fourth worker arrives. All is quiet. Everyone seems almost annoyed by my unwelcome presence. He again: say, ma'am... Me: I'd like a drink, something to eat. He (mercifully): we're full. I play my card, smiling: I'm all alone. He: We're all packed. I leave. They don't even say hello. Such politeness and hospitality, these strangers! They could have at least been kind and welcoming, I didn't expect anything else, I wasn't in a hurry. Then, I say, I'm alone, there's a barrel at the entrance, think of giving me a chalice and an olive, in the time it takes, I'll wait without a problem. And you solve it. But no. No empathy. No compassion. Jesus was born at Christmas. Imagine Jesus died at Easter.

13/04/2026: Located in a small square below the main square of Moncalvo...easy parking and decent pizzas...many offers during the week...friendly staff

24/05/2026: We had lunch today at Antico Castello di Moncalvo, and honestly, after reading some of the reviews, we were a little hesitant... but we had a great time! We ate well, everything was delicious, and the place truly deserves it. Reading some of the reviews, it almost seems like people are expecting a Michelin-starred restaurant... come on 😅 I've read complaints about some dishes arriving quickly, like the risotto. But it's normal for many restaurants to have the rice partially prepared ahead of time to accommodate the service; that doesn't mean it's bad or poorly made. We had a great lunch, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Based on our experience, we highly recommend it 😊
