We stumbled upon it by chance on our way back from Novara.
Panissa is excellent as are the starters and the main courses.
Fair price but it would be useful to include the price on the menu.

Excellent restaurant. Pleasant location. Friendly and helpful staff. The panissa we ate was superb. The very particular pilgrim's dessert. The hamlet of Mononero can be the base for walks in the middle of the Vercelli countryside.

La Trattoria Montonero e' un piccolo e grazioso angolino,nella frazione Montonero a Vercelli.La pace del luogo,predispone al rilassarsi.Il locale e' veramente grazioso e ben tenuto.Molto familiare.Abbiamo pranzato,serviti da un personale gentile e attento.Il menu' prevedeva 2 scelte di primi piatti,3 scelte di secondi con contorni,oggi c'era la possibilità di un piatto unico composto da tagliata di manzo e insalata.Abbiamo scelto le lasagne,la tagliata di manzo e abbiamo chiesto delle patate al forno.Era tutto ottimo! I dolci,fatti in casa,hanno concluso un pranzo ben riuscito.E il prezzo pagato onestissimo.Grazie ci siamo trovati bene e torneremo.

Siamo stati in questi ristorante domenica a pranzo su consiglio di amici. Posto accogliente e caloroso. Tutti gentilissimi dal proprietario al personale di sala. Ottimi i piatti della tradizione vercellese (panissa). Non c'è un menù alla carta ma un menu del giorno (pochi piatti ma tutti davvero ottimi). Il proprietario alla fine ci ha offerto e fatto scegliere anche un amaro/grappa selezionati da lui per la clientela. Ci torneremo sicuramente!
