28/09/2025: A place with flaws that I initially decide to ignore for the sake of a quiet life: the cod isn't fresh and tastes (as they say in Veneto) like "frescon." The worst part comes when I get the bill, which for some mysterious reason I find has been increased by 6 euros. I ask for an explanation and am told that glasses of wine are 6 euros each, while the menu says 5 euros, and I'm charged a cover charge, which isn't listed on the menu either. When I point out the difference, I'm told it's a typo on the menu, but the menu is online, accessible via QR code, so it can be easily modified without the need for a typographer. In any case, I don't recommend it primarily for reasons of honesty. 6 euros won't change my life, but it will change theirs if the mistake is repeated for every customer. We're not wallets with legs, but customers who should be treated with a minimum of respect and not mocked. I owed you that much; I recommend avoiding it and looking elsewhere. Ps: I can't give less than one star but if I could I would have done so

18/10/2025: Coming down from Oropa, we stopped for a delicious pizza at this historic restaurant, where time seems to have stood still! A place where you can enjoy good food and have a quiet conversation without being disturbed by the chatter of other customers! We'll definitely be back!

26/10/2025: A pleasant discovery for a last-minute lunch! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the traditional menu was excellent. The €32 set menu was especially generous.

25/10/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance, intrigued by the banner on the street, "Contrada dei Guardinfanti," and it was love at first sight. The restaurant's name says it all, and my two friends and I introduced ourselves as "Bourbons." Through laughter and chatter, we met Marianna and her two brothers who run this welcoming restaurant, rediscovering our shared roots. The menu offers a choice of a few dishes (four for each course), but they're surprising: Neapolitan tradition married with Piedmontese (for example, the excellent braised beef in Aglianico) or revisited (linguine with truffle and raw shrimp, cannoli filled with ricotta and mascarpone). There's a wide selection of wines, but I stuck with the superb Aglianico from Le Janare. We returned three nights and were never disappointed. Last but not least.... Don't forget the pizza, which I highly recommend (and the tiramisu too!!!)

25/10/2025: Waitress didnt understand English and we have very limited Italian but we made it work. Food was actually good. Other staff apart from the 1st Waitress were more interested in singing happy birthday to a large party at the back of the restaurant. 1 drink was forgotten. When it came to the bill we were charged wrongly. Only 4 euros but was to embarrassed to mention. Card machine would not accept our card that we had been using the whole holiday and i didnt have enough cash to cover it. Used the same card less than 5 minutes later and it worked. Think the shop has Internet issues rather than it being our cards fault.

14/10/2025: We booked for Sunday lunch for four. The menu was good, with a wide selection of meat and especially fish. The ingredients were high-quality, and the dishes were beautifully presented. The wait time was reasonable. The atmosphere was quiet, with no noise to disturb the conversation, and the tables were well-spaced. The quality/price ratio was excellent. If you're in Stresa, this is definitely a place worth checking out.

17/10/2025: Yesterday we went to this restaurant to celebrate a graduation lunch (16 people). We were all satisfied with both the food and the service. The appetizers, first course, second course, and wine were all good quality. The outdoor terrace where we ate was very beautiful. The atmosphere is welcoming and charming. The waitresses were all kind, helpful, and smiling. It was truly a wonderful experience! The downside occurred shortly after we left. We left around 3:30 PM, and it was understandable that the staff was eager to leave, especially since the other tables had all been cleared away for a while. Unfortunately, when I left, I forgot the favor the birthday girl had given me on the table. I called back after 10 minutes to say I'd be back to get it, but the owner immediately told me the waitresses hadn't found anything (they were so quick to inquire!) and if they had, he would have called me back right away (of course, he didn't). IN MY OPINION, RESPECT FOR THE CUSTOMER SHOULD BE EXTENDED EVEN AFTER PAYMENT (16 people). Personally, I am deeply disappointed by his behavior. With a little more attention, my review would have undoubtedly been a 5-star one.

07/07/2025: I went to dinner with some friends, there were 4 of us... the restaurant was empty on a Friday night... the service was very slow and not very precise. We ordered tajerin and agnolotti with roast ragù and they were very salty, the fillet was burnt, the dessert had a very compelling description but then we got a tart that looked like the one from Esselunga. The only good thing was the wine except for how they served us. The bill was not proportionate to what we ate and how they served us.

13/10/2025: Everything was excellent...from the customer service to the Excellent food. All the fish...exquisite ravioli...topped with a very delicate sauce and a special fried fish. Excellent house dessert: classic tiramisu and also pistachio. I recommend everyone to go. Because it's truly worth it.

10/10/2025: A quick lunch in Gavi after my wife and I visited the beautiful fort this morning. Having been unable to find a table at the trattoria we'd planned, a passerby recommended this place just outside the historic center. Since the fixed-price menu (15 euros) didn't have anything that appealed to us, we had lunch à la carte, ordering gnocchi with pesto and ravioli with ragu, washed them down with a bottle of beer. Large portions, good pesto, and the ravioli weren't bad either. Service was quick and courteous. The restroom, however, was in a rather run-down condition, with a door that wouldn't close. The final bill was 31 euros, with a cover charge of 1.50, as per the attached receipt.

07/10/2025: Excellent fresh pasta and delicatessen dishes. The place is beautiful and meticulously maintained, with knowledgeable and very friendly staff. It's a great place to go for a delicious plate of fresh pasta accompanied by a good wine, but it's also a great place to get ready-made pasta and delicatessen dishes to enjoy at home. Highly recommended! You have to try it to truly appreciate its deliciousness!

28/10/2025: A truly delightful trattoria, just steps from Santo Stefano d'Elbo. The menu features traditional local dishes, carefully prepared with quality ingredients. Everything is delicious, from the first to the second course, with authentic and well-balanced flavors. The atmosphere is simple yet welcoming, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the authentic atmosphere makes the meal even more enjoyable. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

29/09/2025: A small restaurant with good food and pizza, well-prepared traditional dishes, and very friendly staff. Unfortunately, there's no wine or beverage menu with prices, so customers don't know how much they'll spend.

09/10/2025: Quick service, location a bit penalized by the area, I ate cold pizza due to the distance between the restaurant and my home, so no blame on the pizzeria.

27/09/2025: 8 PM: I'd like a pizza delivery and to spend the evening watching a movie. 8:15 PM: The pizzeria will take an hour to deliver the pizza. Okay, still acceptable. 9:15 PM: I call again and the lady tells me they still have to make them. 15 minutes and they'll be there. 9:45 PM: I call again. The delivery man is about to take the order, the pizzas have just come out of the oven. 9:55 PM: The pizza arrives at my house. Evening ruined. Now I have to do other things and go to sleep. The pizzeria took the money, but I didn't have my evening, though.
