21/04/2025: Arrivati nel pomeriggio di oggi e accomodati nel dehors esterno, verso le 17. Viene raccolto il nostro ordine, due caffè. Poco dopo ritorna il cameriere, che ci riferisce che il locale sta per chiudere. Da un locale del genere non ci saremmo mai aspettati una tale caduta di stile, siamo rimasti attoniti.....non ci vedrà mai più.

23/06/2025: We stumbled upon this magical trattoria by chance and immediately fell in love. A wonderful place, super cool, perfect for escaping the summer heat of the city. Refined and carefully prepared dishes with a delicious flavor. Excellent service! I highly recommend it. We'll be back

20/06/2025: Mamma mia! The prices! Disappointing experience: not recommended A touristy place with a service that is anything but professional. The prices are decidedly high compared to the quality offered. The pizza, in particular, was a real disappointment: the base was obviously frozen, badly cooked and the result was dry and unappealing. Probably the worst I have ever tasted. The first courses, although acceptable in taste, were served in small portions. The side dishes, also expensive, turned out to be of quite poor quality (the salad, for example, for 13 euros was simply ridiculous) The desserts are (or seem to be) the industrial packaged ones. Even the coffee left a bitter taste in the mouth—served at a whopping €2.50, it was of low quality and the taste was anything but pleasant. The final bill was very salty, not justified by either the service or the cuisine. An experience that has all the characteristics of a classic tourist trap. For Italian travelers looking for an authentic and satisfying dinner, I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

06/06/2025: We arrived by chance before a medical visit and found courtesy and excellent food. Very clean environment, especially the toilets which unfortunately are often a bit neglected. Obviously NOT in this case. Compliments to all the staff. Two "simple" first courses but full of flavor and cooked al dente, it's a shame we are not closer (60 km) to go back every now and then

11/05/2025: A very characteristic vintage 70s place. Welcoming with unique silences, for those who like to dine in peace and be able to share a word without confusion or music. I had a very good dinner. Excellent dishes. Low price, fresh and good food. I'll be happy to come back. Thanks Mediterranean.

19/05/2025: Abbiamo prenotato sul posto questo ristorante, La signora che ci ha preso la prenotazione ci ha confermato la disponibilità. Siamo tornati all’ora con lei convenuta e siamo entrati nel ristorante. Dopo 10 minuti la signora, pur avendoci visto, non ci ha degnato di uno sguardo. Quando mi sono rivolta a lei per dirle che avevamo una prenotazione, mi ha risposto “un attimino”. Dopo mezz’ora di attesa, questo “attimino” non era ancora passato e la signora continuava ad ignorarci. Altri due camerieri erano presenti e il loro atteggiamento era lo stesso della signora. Ce ne siamo andati sconfortati e delusi e ovviamente non torneremo mai più. Veramente inqualificabili, per nulla professionali e per niente educati! Consigliamo a chi volesse visitare il Lago delle Fate di pranzare altrove o di portarsi la colazione al sacco!

02/05/2025: Pranzo pessimo, La polenta immangiabile per il retrogusto amaro poiché era stata bruciata, lo spezzatino salatissimo e nel piatto di gnocchi al ragu abbiamo trovato un capello. La loro fortuna è la posizione.. La cosa che fa arrabbiare è che capita di bruciare una polenta ma non essendo una preparazione che richiede molto tempo poteva essere rifatta visto che andava servita anche a dei bambini! Peccato

13/07/2025: The best place for an aperitif in Orta. Their passion for wine and love for local produce are evident. A charcuterie and cheese board with a bottle of white wine and water costs €70.

08/07/2025: Whenever we come to Orta San Giulio we have an aperitif here. We've been coming here for three years now, and it's always a pleasure, with local, high-quality products. We definitely recommend it!

27/06/2025: I stopped by Bar Hemingway for a drink with the family. Very good cocktails 🍸 and a wide selection on the menu, even for kids, as they also have non-alcoholic cocktails. The service is excellent and the staff friendly. I recommend it.
