21/08/2025: For 25 years now, I've been returning to this restaurant every August with immense pleasure. And I think this fact speaks for itself. Regarding the food, I can only confirm all the positive things that have already been written: quality, flavor, and tradition come together in every dish, making the experience always memorable. But what makes this place truly special goes beyond the kitchen, which is managed by Angelica with the professionalism and passion of a Michelin-starred chef. My heartfelt thanks to Antonio and Andrea, who, with their courtesy and calm, manage to convey a rare sense of serenity. You don't come to this restaurant just to eat well, but to immerse yourself in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility that regenerates the spirit. A place that, if I could, I would recommend as therapy to anyone.

No frills or fancy-sounding dishes, but rather dishes that were distinctly home-cooked and of good quality, from the typical local appetizer to the artisanal gelato. Bravo!

21/08/2025: A disastrous experience, far from Barone Rosso... Shame on you! We arrived at Barone Rosso in Ripatransone with a reservation for four at 9:00 PM, confident of a pleasant evening. Unfortunately, what awaited us was one of the worst culinary and service experiences I've ever had, and believe me, having visited countless villages and Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy and around the world, I have a rather broad standard of judgment. The service was simply nonexistent and disorganized. After a full 45 minutes of waiting, at 9:45 PM, we were brought only one appetizer. The white focaccia, which was supposed to accompany it, didn't appear on the table until 10:05 PM. For the first courses, we had to wait until 10:30 PM. The timing and order management was embarrassing to say the least. The absurdity of the situation was compounded by the fact that two other tables, who arrived after us, were served first. During our interminable wait, we even had to return two drinks and two dishes that had been mistakenly delivered to us, intended for other tables. It was sheer chaos. The climax came with a request for two coffees at 11:00 PM, which simply never arrived. Frustrated and tired of waiting, we headed to the cashier at 11:15 PM to pay, only to find ourselves waiting even longer with no one around to talk to. Finally, at 11:28 PM, we were presented with a bill that included a €2.50 mineral water we'd never ordered, and the two phantom coffees. Only after pointing out the mistake, with a hasty apology, did they offer to let us drink them at the counter. A belated gesture and decidedly insufficient to remedy the overall poor service. A six-year-old's request for a simple cup of frothy milk was met with a curt, "We're out of milk," a response bordering on the ridiculous. Even in my house, milk isn't "counted." The cost of around €30 per person might be acceptable for a meal in a good restaurant, but not for a service run by three kids (probably minors) who are clearly inexperienced and lack any coordination or supervision. In the context of the Marche region, where the quality of traditional food and service in medieval villages is generally very high, with prices always appropriate and fair, this pizzeria represents an incomprehensible decline in style. Il Barone Rosso not only offers terrible service, but also offers an experience that falls short of the excellence expected of this region. It's a real shame that a place with such potential turns out to be such a disappointment. 17/07/2025: We stopped for aperitivo. A truly lovely place. The aperitivo was delicious, plentiful, and delicious! The Gradara Castle setting is a significant plus. I'm giving it 4 stars only because we didn't eat; otherwise, 5 stars would have been guaranteed!

15/07/2025: The food is delicious. I recommend the gnocchi with duck ragu. The portions are generous and you'll feel pleasantly full. The ambiance isn't the best; there's a nice view, but the table and chairs are nothing special. The server was friendly and pleasantly unobtrusive. However, one criticism is that you have to pay extra for plates, even if they're your own dish.

08/08/2025: Every year (for 30 years now), I absolutely can't help but stop by! I've always had a great experience, but I have to say that this year Vincenzo and his team have outdone themselves. What you see in the photo is a simply grilled tuna fillet, and some of you might say, "Well, come on...what's the big deal?" But I disagree. The service begins as soon as you set foot in the chalet, when, very hesitant, you don't know what to order. Vincenzo advises you, pampers you...he makes you feel at home (not something you can take for granted). Shall we talk about the choice of raw materials? Excellent! Shall we talk about the type of cooking required? Perfect. Shall we talk about the presentation of the dishes? (Because, yes, the eye also wants its part) Careful and fun in the combination of colors. My husband and son were invited here (I was invited too, but I couldn't make it 😩) for birthday parties, and they came home beyond thrilled with what they tasted. While they were telling me about all of Vincenzo's delicacies, I thought, "Damn my job! Next time, I'll do anything to be there 😩" Sorry for being so long-winded; I'm off now because I have to choose dessert 🤗🤗 UPDATE: I came back and tried their grilled vegetable skewers... I WANT TO BE ADOPTED BY THEM 😋😋😋😋😋

25/07/2025: 28 (from 26 to 30) I might return when I'm in the area, but I'll also consider other options first. Location 7: Clean, plenty of space between tables. Menu 7: Mainly seafood, but also pizza. The first course is good and the portions are generous. The second course is adequate, but the portions are a bit small. The desserts are very good, especially the cremolada. Service 7: Friendly and not pushy. Bill 7: Overall, reasonable for what we ate.

15/07/2025: The food is as good as it used to be, a place from the old days, very fair prices and below average for any restaurant, and the staff is extremely kind. I will definitely be back. P.S. Go there and you won't regret it.

30/06/2025: Enchanting place, ideal both for excursions in the Sibillini mountains and for visiting the beautiful villages of the Marche countryside and the beautiful Ascoli Piceno. The breakfasts are rich, with a very wide choice. I particularly appreciated the cakes, different every day and made with flour ground by the stone mill that they have kept working. I suggest asking the owners to tell you the story of this home, which really goes back in time and tells of how a place can be recovered, restored and shared.
