08/02/2026: Welcoming and very nice atmosphere, I ate the risotto with osso buco (fantastic, stellar).

08/02/2026: The place is small but nice. The food was nothing special, but not bad. What I regret is that the owners, despite trying to be nice and helpful throughout the dinner, made the mistake of seating three of us at a table for two without even legroom in a room with three other tables free, just because it was Saturday night, MAYBE someone else might arrive. It was already 9:30 PM when we sat down... spoiler alert, no one else arrived. The meal wasn't bad, but nothing memorable; I wouldn't return.

16/01/2026: After a night at the movies, I was looking for an elegant, high-quality place to impress my partner and stumbled upon this little Milanese gem. Not knowing what to order, I asked the staff, who were also very knowledgeable, for advice, and opted for a seafood risotto (very delicate), a "Mondeghili," a meat-based main course (very high-quality and tasty), and to finish, a delicious cheesecake. The atmosphere is refined and elegant, open late, and at around 11:00 PM, the options are truly limited. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for the same experience as me, staying out a little late. I'll definitely be back for Valentine's Day. Thank you so much ❤️ for a fantastic evening.

20/03/2026: I come here for dinner about once a month with my Rotary Club.

20/03/2026: We made a reservation for 8:15 PM for 7, and we arrived on time. After 30 minutes, we sat down; at 9 PM, they moved us to make room for a larger table. The cutlet was completely tasteless, the mixed fried food was rubbery. I understand it was frozen, but the quality was embarrassing... Pacific Ocean or something... I could have given it one star, but I was being objective. It was supposed to be a family dinner for Father's Day; it was a nightmare. P.S. I'm replying to Mrs. I never said "everything's fine." I barely touched any food because the fried food was inedible, and that's what I ordered. It came back almost intact; even if I wanted to eat it, it wasn't possible... rubbery. If I tell you that last night was a nightmare, it's to let you know... the fact that the wait staff gets a tip for their work from one of the diners certainly has nothing to do with me, and it doesn't make up for the horrible fried food and nonexistent service. It was a two-star review... with a service like that, it might have been better to take the review and use it as a starting point for improvement... but you prefer to make fun of me. Read my profile carefully; I think you missed something. The two stars were generous, but given your rude response, I'm lowering them to one. All the best.

30/11/2025: Four people for dinner. The service was prompt and very helpful, given our requests. The pizzas were cooked to perfection and well-topped. The dessert (babà) was excellent, and recommended by the pizza chef. We discovered it by chance, but we'll definitely be back. Excellent value for money. Really good.

16/11/2025: I don't know how the food is there, but the service on Deliveroo is terrible. The pizzas arrive squashed and open, without any seal or safety features. The pizzas are definitely under-topped. For €15 a pizza, you expect more.

21/11/2025: Small, a bit cramped, but welcoming. Atypical business lunch, with a short but unique menu. The main courses are good: roast beef, chicken and rice, and soups. Everything is well presented and of good quality. The sandwiches are also excellent. Fair price.

24/02/2026: I've often dined at this restaurant for work, but recently I've seen some scenes that just haven't sat well with me. First of all, I want to point out that I've always seen the same two waiters working, two nice guys, no doubt (especially Tonino), but this makes me think these poor guys never rest!! To continue, I've seen the owner swear in Calabrian several times behind customers' backs and at colleagues—an absolutely unacceptable situation! Even when I went to the cashier the last time to pay the bill, the owner (very dishonest, if I may say so!) tried every way to get me to pay for an extra bottle of water, but who am I, a bank, to cover the restaurant's losses??? That said, I don't think I'll ever return; what a disappointment...

16/02/2026: We went to Osteria La Bistecca on Saturday, February 14th. Naturally, it was a very crowded evening. At the waiter's recommendation, we ordered the Florentine steak with fries. They didn't inform us of the weight of the steak, nor did they show it to us, as was the treatment reserved for our neighbors at the table. The fries were chips, and we weren't even informed of this. Anyway, nothing exceptional. The steak was small, and the bill was a bit expensive.

On the contrary, it's an extremely positive aspect that translates into a genuineness that's now rare in Milan's more modern and "established" restaurants. The staff is the real added value: welcoming, sincere, and capable of making you feel like a guest, not just a customer. Moving on to the food, I ate truly well. The dishes are a constant surprise: despite the homey feel, the execution is delicate and precise. There's none of the heaviness sometimes associated with traditional cuisine, but rather an attention to detail and a balance of flavors that demonstrate great technical mastery. In short, Novecento is the ideal place for those seeking substance, human warmth, and refined cuisine that doesn't need special effects to impress. I'll definitely be back to experience that perfect blend of nostalgia and high-quality cuisine. Highly recommended!

04/03/2026: I was there yesterday, Tuesday, for lunch. The restaurant is run by foreigners, and I have no objections. What bothered me was that the service was practically non-existent. The girl in the dining room didn't know anything. The guy I noticed at the bar was incompetent, and honestly, he came to the table to clear the table, but he smelled bad. He should pay more attention to his appearance. Long hair and a beard aren't good for table service. The food was good, the first courses were good, I liked them.

01/01/2026: We went on New Year's Eve and my daughter's birthday was the following day. The food was very good, the staff were very kind, and they gave my daughter a complimentary dessert as a birthday gift. We loved everything!!

17/02/2026: A friend had insisted I come for lunch during my stay in Milan. He was very pleased with his visit... I went, and it was a truly enchanting experience. I didn't think this kind of restaurant still existed! The setting is exceptional, the service superb, and what's more, the very friendly and helpful host, who also offered excellent advice on food and wine, was outstanding. For those who want to experience this level of service and dining, I urge you to go. Superb!
