25/02/2026: Excellent food, but it's the soul of the place that makes the difference. The paella is exquisite and the meat is superb!!! Matteo and his partner make you feel like guests more than customers: he's down-to-earth, friendly, and like one of the family. We left with a smile and a free bag of herbs for our herbal tea, a truly thoughtful touch. Definitely book a table to enjoy this carefree experience. We'll definitely be back.

01/06/2026: Unfortunately, a very negative experience — Saturday, May 16th. I should point out that this wasn't my first time at Locanda dei Giurati: I'd been there before, and that's precisely why I chose to return, expecting a certain level of organization and customer service. On Saturday, May 16th, I had made a reservation for dinner and showed up promptly at the agreed-upon time. When I arrived, I found a long line of people waiting. I introduced myself to the receptionist, mentioning that I had a reservation, but was simply told to wait. After about 10 minutes, I asked for information again and the response was rather rude, pointing out that there were a lot of people waiting. I then pointed out that my reservation had been made about 20 minutes before, but was told, again rudely, that "it wasn't their fault" and that they couldn't turn away customers who had arrived early and were already seated. Frankly, I was astonished. I understand that it can be busy on a Saturday night, but if you accept reservations, you expect a minimum level of organization and, above all, courtesy toward the customer. This is especially true when it comes to a customer who already knows the place and has chosen to return. I wonder: in a location like this, with a high-end menu and prices, do they manage two sittings for dinner? And if so, are the customers clearly informed when they make their reservation? Showing up on time and still being left waiting without a clear explanation is unacceptable. After waiting a bit longer, given the situation and, above all, the way I was treated, I decided to leave and dine elsewhere. The most unpleasant thing, even more than the wait, was the lack of courtesy. Unexpected events can happen, but courtesy, respect, and clarity toward the customer should never be lacking.

30/05/2026: A super restaurant for meat lovers!! Delicious food, great service, and a wonderful selection of wines to pair with the meat. We celebrated Christmas with friends, and everyone was delighted.

18/05/2026: The worst service we've had in Italy thus far. It's a shame, cause the pizza we had was ok. Not the best, not the worst. But wow, the service.. first, we got seated at a table all the way in the back, close to the kitchen, where the kitchen doors were banging every 10 seconds - this would have not been an issue if it was the only table available - but there were so many that were free (and not reserved either!). I asked if we could move, one lady reluctantly accepted. Then we asked for a plate for our daughter so that we could share food with her, they forgot, had to remind them. The worst moment came when a lady came to get a place on which we still had food. I got the fork to eat it and she said something I didn't understand while looking very fed up. Then she came again and this time she got my husband's plate, who was still eating and had a slice of pizza in his hand!! No asking, no putting it back when seeing that he was still wating. So incredibly rude. This place is a disservice to all the wonderful service we've had in all other Italian restaurants.

08/05/2026: Family and sunny atmosphere, simple and tasty cuisine, fast service and polite staff, the restaurant is located in one of the most beautiful and characteristic squares of Como, I recommend it

12/05/2026: The pizza is the best and easiest to digest I've ever eaten. The price is undeniably low. So, the quality/price ratio is top-notch. The place is chaotic and very simple, the service friendly and unpretentious. The only downside is the heat and the somewhat chaotic atmosphere. Otherwise, I'd go there every day.

06/05/2026: We stayed at the small hotel opposite the restaurant. The restaurant wasn't pretty from the outside, and there were only locals there, but it is highly recommended. We had such a delicious meal: risotto, pannacotta, and tiramisu for dessert. So delightful after a long journey. And so cheap!! If the restaurant would change the bright lighting, it would make it a lot cozier.

23/05/2026: Exceptional Lunch in Como! ​We had a fantastic lunch at Ristorante Imbarcadero 1892. The atmosphere was lovely, but the food was the absolute highlight of our meal. ​We tried the Pasta No. 12 with saffron and zucchini sauce, which was incredibly flavorful and perfectly balanced. I personally had the Spinach Ravioli, and it was simply outstanding—fresh, delicate, and cooked to perfection. ​Everything was "finger-licking good"! If you are looking for authentic flavors and high-quality dishes for a midday break in Como, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

08/05/2026: Small plus for good service, and wine selection but the food has no business charging €28 a main. We started with a complimentary starter that was bland and dry. For mains, I ordered what the menu described as a fried fish dish, it turned out to be entirely deep-fried: fish, zucchini, anchovies, everything.The sauces were bland and the whole plate felt like it had been dunked rather than cooked. My partner's fish was overcooked and the portion was a single piece with a small side of vegetables, not what you expect at €28 a main. €96 for two. Skipped dessert. Got out fast.

18/05/2026: We had high expectations for La Colombetta, the Tuna Tartare was amazing! However, we were not asked how we would like our filet cooked, and it came basically uncooked. By the time our server came to check on our meal, my wife and I had shared our other entree, and our server was very forceful in that we should’ve asked to have the filet cooked more once it arrived, when it would’ve have been impossible to recreate the dish in the first place, given the sauce. When the bill came, our server exclaimed that our starter, tuna tartare, should have a 20% split charge. Bummed overall by the experience.

13/05/2026: Being vegetarians we booked a table for dining last fall but couldn't cancel it despite enough advance notice. We were advised that it was clearly mentioned on the restaurant website that the 50 Euro deposit (pp) was nonrefundable in the event of cancellation (this should have set off alarm bells) but can only be used for a later visit. Anyway, we moved our reservation to a visit this spring. We were told in advance that we will have vegetarian options available. Unfortunately, both entrees that we ordered (Tagliolini with black truffle and Asparagus gratin and eggs with black truffles) were anything but extraordinary. The Asparagus gratin literally consisted of some shaved truffles and half fried egg laid over some asparagus shoots. So much for gourmet food. The staff was extraordinary in their service but food quality was no where close to the high praise that we had come across in the reviews. Interestingly, we were the only diners in the whole restaurant for a good 2 hours we were there that night!

11/04/2026: Excellent food, reasonable prices, friendly staff. I returned after a while and the situation was the same: the BBQ chicken was excellent, the beer was good, and the service was still a bit slow, but I still recommend it.
